We traveled all day, got in at 2 am. The room was supposed to be a non smoking room and smelled horribly of smoke. We couldn't sleep at all, finally got up and got back on the road. Very displeased. Should get a full refund for this room.

The property was alright the room was clean the staff was friendly, thought the price was a little high for so many motels in the area.

Smallest two bed room I have ever spent the night in. Food was mediocre too. Staff was not particularly friendly. Room was not clean and altho it was a nonsmoking room my clothes and hair wreaked of smoke in the morning. The halls also wreaked of smoke.

The units were clean. The motel is due for an upgrade. Things were beginning to show wear and tear. Great breakfast. Units were noisy because of the interstate 40 exit in front of the motel.

For being one of cheapest hotels it was clean. Clerk was nice, easy to get along with. Would stay here again.

If this had been my first experience at a Super 8, I would never book another one. To begin the following is my opinion of this hotel. The front desk attendant was curt and rude. She was not friendly AT ALL. I could have endured this but the room was not clean. To begin with it was a smoking room and the window was so thick with tar that you couldn't see out of it. The sheets were thin, stained and had what appeared to be snot on the pillow case. Security lock was broken off the door an... Read more

I needed a place to stay on the east side of town and this was it. I asked for a non-smoking room, but the stairwells and hallways reeked of cigarette smoke. There was some residual smell in my room but I didn't think there would be a single room that didn't have the residual smoke smell, and I was tired.

Upon entering building ,"security" door latch was broken.Arrived at room bathroom door would not shut.Bathroom ceiling severely water damaged. My wife took shower, was worried she would fall thru floor (most have been water damage ).Too many bugs in room made it very uncomfortable.Hair dryer in bathroom was unplugged,I attempted to use it,it glowed bright red, starting smoking.I informed front desk that it is a fire hazard. We were so uncomfortable we could not sleep,so we checked out early. We do no... The room was fairly small and shabby. Breakfast area was tiny. Dog exercise area is a narrow strip full of dog waste other owners didn't clean up. Awful. During the night our bathroom ceiling began leaking over the toilet, and by 6AM was about to collapse. We could not use the bathroom! We notified the desk clerk, who came and looked at it. Since we were about to leave, we asked if we could be comped at all for the room. He promised to have the manager call, and the manager never did. Wor... Read more

Can't complain for the money it was a good stop, just up road from Texan steak house, best steak we had in Texas. Breakfast was nice with plenty of options. Bed was comfy and large, coin operated washing machine and dryer we didn't use as ran out of time. Would stay again.

The room was spacious and clean, as was the bath. The bed was a little hard but not as bad as some others. The staff was courteous however the location was not the best. The only nearby restaurant options was Mickey D's and Iron Skillet. If I were passing through, I would stay here again. Location is why I gave 3 stars and not 4. Side note: If you reserve through a 3rd party (Priceline, Trivago, etc.) verify the cost BEFORE checking in. I didn't and ended up paying $13 more than the reservation ... Read more

We were traveling through the area late and night and this hotel was the only one with available rooms. Will never stay here again. Our "non-smoking" room smelled terribly smokey. There were cigarette butts and a q-tip found in the room.

The hotel was a great location to all we were planning to do in Amarillo. I didn't like that when I arrived the price of the night was different then what I was quoted online. I always bring a printed copy of my stay at any hotel so if there is any question about the price, I have it in hand. The breakfast was not all that great.

Most Super 8 properties are average and they are not expected to be really nice hotels. But, this one really is in bad shape. The bed spread was stained with ink, even the non-smoking rooms smelled like stale smoke and the hallways are depressing. There were holes in the walls from doors opening into them and the carpet was wearing thin. The surrounding real estate was shabby and declining as well. The owner was a very nice guy but he needs to spend some money to upgrade the facility.

The Super 8 was okay, but not the best that we have been in. Price was the highest that we have paid other than a trip to Alaska. It was also one of the last rooms available in town, and was late, so normal military or AARP discounts did not apply. The bathtub was squeaky like it was not fastened securely, and there was a burn hole in the sheet. But the room was overall a clean room and acceptable.

Stayed at this property because I was having truck issues. The property is filthy. The widow sill had dust and dirt built up. The Windows haven't been cleaned in quite awhile. The light in the bathroom did not work. Desk clerk said that maintenance was not on the property. I took both bulbs out of the light to the desk clerk to get replacements. He said that he didn't have the key to the maintenance room to get replacement bulbs. The place is filthy and poorly managed.

Rooms were dated and had a undesirable smell. Expected more since I booked it through Wyndham Rewards. Wyndham should not represent this far down the scale. The outside apprerance alone would have prevented me from stopping there if I didn't already had paid for my stay.

We welcomed the clean and comfortable room in this motel. I can see a definite improvement in Super 8 over the last few years. I found the beds much improved as well as additional pillows. The Continental Breakfast was adequate only lacking due to the probably unexpected higher influx of motorcyclist headed to Sturgis for the rally. That also added to the noise level, which didn't bother me nearly as much as it did my wife (but that shouldn't be a negative for the motel as a whole). The st... Read more

There are several Super 8's in Amarillo. I would suggest you look at the others. This one appears to be very poorly maintained, is located in an area with a lot of heavy truck traffic (translation: noise), and in spite of it's nonsmoking rooms it reeked of something that smelled very much like smoke.

Checked in late on the way to Santa Fe. Check in was ok but when I opened the door the carpet in the room was not vacuumed. Debris everywhere.. On closer inspection it looked as if it had never been cleaned. If it wasn't so lat we would have left.
