The rooms on this motel are entered into from the parking lot. They have older carpet and furniture, but the room was fairly clean. We had no complaints about the bathroom, where other reviews have mentioned dirt or mold. We always check the sheets, too, and they seemed to be clean. The stairs outside were a bit slippery, though, due to the rain earlier in the day. Also, there is no elevator.

I don't mind old, but I DO mind run down and sloppy housekeeping. Notice the extremely rusty bathroom door hinges. And, yes, that speck of black peeking out from under the toilet rim is/was mold. I took a picture of the rest of the mold colony that had apparently been growing under the rim for quite some time and showed it to the front desk upon checkout.  No discount was offered. You get what you pay for... I will say, though, that the King bed was clean and comfy, and the room itself did not... Read more

Very accommodating. Would have liked an airport shuttle especially since reported as airport hotel. Check in process was very easy. Front desk people were very helpful. Cannot comment on the breakfast as I left before it started.

Cold air blew into the room from bottom of the door all night. If Air can get in so can roaches. Room was sort of renovated but hotel is very old. Bathroom is so small you can't use it and close the door. $65 a night Biggest concern was security with exterior entrance. No decent restaurants close by.

Very much agree with others regarding dated room and interior. Linens were clean but not fresh. Bathroom had mold around walls and tub. First two family members had cool showers even after allowing it to run for 5 minutes; other two showers were warm/hot. Registered via phone, arrived an hour later and was told room was not cleaned yet; it was 11:00 PM. Desk gave us a room reserved for someone else, because we were a military family. Asked for extra pillows and an extra towel; they came after ... Read more

This is an old Laquinta and could use a remodel. It is very close to the highway and was a bit noisy. The bed was good but overall room and facility was poor. The staff was great. The breakfast was below average.

While this is an older La Quinta property, I found the bed to be very comfortable, the rooms well maintained and clean. Both the front desk and the cleaning staff were very friendly and quick to accommodate me. The price was right for the accommodations. Amarillo has a lot of choices to stay but it can be difficult to get a room especially if you are just passing thru. I would recommend this La Quinta!

Location, location...I arrived at 6:30 it was dark and I was tired after driving 10 plus hours. I had booked online again all about the location. The room itself ok, I was on the second floor with doors opening to the outside. I was near the stairs so heard everyone coming and going as well as intereste traffic very load.

Dogs stay free, that's hard to beat! It is a motel, but the rooms are clean. The husband and I have stayed here twice and always wind up in the 2 full-sized bed rooms (although the beds seem more like twin XLs). I don't mind the 50's style sleeping arrangements, but couples should not expect to sleep in the same bed. I think that for the price this is a solid option especially if you're just on your way through town. The rooms are spacious, WiFi was a good speed (unlike most budget hotels), and ... Read more

We always stay at La Quinta when traveling with our two cats. However, it takes some time and ingenuity to prepare the rooms for one Houdini cat that can get out of anywhere and one that will hide in the most difficult place to find.
