Hotel met my needs as far as amenities and location on the west side. The staff was friendly. The art throughout the hotel was nice. The gym was under renovation, but the neighboring Hilton Garden Inn next door had an adequate gym.

We always enjoying staying here as the staff and manager are great. The renovation is really nice so be sure to ask. The other rooms are very nice too, just not the new modern look, but still outfitted Room tax in Amarillo is high but this is the best place to stay if you are in, or plan to be in Amarillo. Mon. thru Fri. they have light dinner and wine or beer free to guests along with free breakfast.

They were in the process of renovating the hotel and our floor was completely brand new. The suite (king size bed and sleeper sofa) was spacious and included a kitchenette. It was very clean, nicely furnished, and conveniently located. Just drive out the back of the hotel for easy access to the main road. We will definitely stay again.

A computer glitch really! When I book a room two months in advance and pay for the room, I expect to receive the room I booked. I was told this is what happens when you book online. I booked through Hilton honors. I am a Hilton honors member. I paid in advance and was told it would be nonrefundable

This Homewood Suites is currently undergoing renovations, changing from the current Italian/rustic style to a modern aesthetic. We were lucky enough to stay in one of the updated rooms on the third floor, and it was beautiful! Truly felt like a brand new hotel. The hotel has standard Homewood Suites features that frequent travelers come to expect. We missed the managers reception because we stayed over the weekend, but were impressed with the selection at breakfast. Only complaint is that ther... Read more

I reserved a two bedroom suite at Homewood Suites in Amarillo. One bedroom had a king size bed; the other, two queen beds. My uncle/aunt(who live north of Amarillo about 2 hrs were at the medical center receiving treatment and we were there for support. The arrangement of the room permitted us, and other members of our family, to stop by and visit in the relatively large living room. The separate rooms provided privacy for sleeping--and two separate bathrooms. The room was clean as could be... Read more

The hotel is changing its décor from "Mona Lisa" to "Texas" and the new décor is beautiful. We had one of the newly decorated suites on the 3rd floor. Even the carpet is special order with the outline of Texas and slogans. The hotel is at a great location with lots of restaurants and shopping within a block or two. Large outdoor pool and patio and a delicious free breakfast. If you want an indoor pool or have a drink at the bar, you need to go next door to the Hilton Garden Inn. They share acc... Read more

They are in the middle of a remodel so our room was fairly new looking, the breakfast bar is good but there are problems. Seems like they have new staff that are not as knowledgeable nor fully trained to this brand's standards. Pool was not operational and no signs to tell you that in the summer in Texas this is not good. Trash floating in pool and the water fountain was green with more trash in it. Hotel is right off the interstate so you will hear traffic.

Great family place to stay in Amarillo. The front desk staff were incredibly accommodating and went out of their way to make sure all of our needs were accommodated. Additionally, they wanted to make sure we knew the top attractions in the area and had a place to eat. This is a nice, convenient place to stay if you're traveling on I-40. It is being remodeled from a traditional style, which I find comfortable, to a modern, cooler style, which doesn't have quite the personal appeal for me. if you like cleaner lines and simpler, modern decorations - if that matters at all while you're traveling - it's a good place to stay. Caution - be sure you clarify any rate changes regarding your stay. Fr..ont desk was not clear about the cost of "double points" and when I saw my e-mail, it was much higher. Management's response... tough luck. There was the door that stuck terribly, requiring us to shove it hard to open it. Email confirmation said cookies, not. Positive outcome, comfortable beds, positive staff. Location is being renovated, very nice location with lots of local shopping. Very decent breakfast, rooms comfortable and the staff really cared about us. Price was right.

No hot water made it very uncomfortable both mornings I had to shower for work. Overall the rest was completely satisfactory but the issue with cold showers ruined my stay. I did not use any other facilities available due to time restrictions for work but like all that the hotel had to offer.

Stayed during Thanksgiving weekend while visiting family. Staff was helpful. Hotel was quiet. Breakfast was standard but with regional flair. A good value and easy location to reach. Convenient to shopping and restaurants.

The reason this property only received 4 stars is because the property was being upgraded and the whole 1st floor was closed off. The upgrade showed, in that the room I received was one of the cleanest and well designed I have stayed in , in other Homewood suites.
