I was not expecting such a nice upscale hotel. The entry was inviting and very attractive. The hotel was spotless both in the lobby and in the rooms. Breakfast was a typical buffet but good nonetheless. I would definitely stay in this hotel again. Thanks trip advisor for a good recommendation.

Great stay while travelling on route 66. We needed great wifi and this hotel delivered. The ladies at the front desk were more than helpful with additional printing I needed and there was an evening reception in the lobby which was a nice additional touch. The room was spotless and had a coffee machine which was a great convenience for us.

The Holiday Inn Express & Suites hotels are always a good choice. They come in Average, Very Good, and Excellent categories in my experience. This one I would rate as "Very Good". The service at the front desk was excellent - very friendly. The room was comfortable and the WiFi was excellent. The bathroom was on the smaller size and it had plastic cups. I hate the plastic cups. The bed has 4 long pillows instead of the 5-6 smaller ones. This is okay if you can find one that feels comfortable ... Read more

Very clean and comfortable. I stayed in the king suite and the room was large, with 3 TV's. The bathroom would allow for more than one person, unlike many hotel baths. The staff was nice and the breakfast was adequate (after all, it is free!). I would recommend this hotel.

This is a really nice hotel. It's in a quiet area (no road noise). The bed and pillows were very comfortable. There is even a flatscreen TV in the bathroom. Nice size rooms too. The free breakfast is the best so far(scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuits and gravy, along with pastries, fruit and cereal). You must use your room card on the elevator to access you floor. That's a nice added safety feature. The staff was very nice. The rooms have microwaves and refrigerators, and coffee makers... Read more

This is not your father's Holiday Inn. Tastefully decorated, thoughtfully appointed, and luxurious (yes, luxurious). While not the least expensive option, a great place to take the family or simply make a stopover. Movie theater across the street and lots of restaurant choice nearby.

Stopped and a long day of driving and really enjoyed the stay. It was clean and very quiet and not far from shopping and the interstate. I'd have to say the pillows need improving and the breakfast was a normal old HIX fare. Not good plus they were out of milk, eggs, coffee and hot water and this was before the rush period. They should have been prepared. The receptionist was super nice and very helpful. Brandi or Randi not sure. Oh the wifi worked very well too.

I stayed one night here while passing through the area. The property is near the Interstate, but it's not so close that you get noise. The area is pretty quiet. The staff gave me a warm welcome with a water bottle. They had a happy hour going on when I got there with free appetizers and drinks. The room was spacious and super clean. I'd stay here again.

I have heard a phrase that everything in Texas is big. The 2Q with accessible tub, WOW it was large with plenty of room for my husband to move around. You can see a picture on line. He could transfer to the bed. There was plenty of room to turn around in the bedroom and bathroom. The breakfast area was roomy and the food was normal Hampton breakfast, it was tasty. We arrived really late and was able to get a handicap space at the back door (which remains locked at all times). Unfortunatel... Read more

This hotel is located just off I-40, on the business loop. I stayed for one night in a king suite, booked using IHG points. The check-in was friendly, the room was clean, bed comfortable, and the shower over the bath had good pressure and temperature control. The room was equipped with a fridge, microwave, sink, Keurig coffee maker, iron & board. The free wi-fi performed well, and I used the roll-out work desk, which had power sockets above it - a good idea. The free breakfast had a good selecti... Read more

Being a new property, it was clean with very comfortable beds. The lobby had a modern feel, but the rooms were fairly standard. Our room had mini fridge and microwave. Breakfast was standard fare except there was no waffle station even though they had syrup on the counter. Overall would highly recommend for the price....approx $131 including tax.

Great hotel! Very clean and modern. Zero complaints. Nice pool, nice room, nice breakfast. The only "issue" is the cost. Nicer Amarillo hotels are ridiculously pricy compared to the rest of the country, but since it's the mid-point between so many destinations, that's the market they're in. That said, we'll stay again when we head back to Dallas.

I stayed here for business. This hotel was better than most HIE. There was an issue with my first room, but the front desk kindly moved me. The red haired girl up front is very nice and helpful. The breakfast was the same thing everyday and just a lot of carbs but it's the same at every IHG hotel. My last night there were police swarming the building, maybe not a good sign. But I did feel safe here. This is definitely better than the other HIEs in Amarillo.

Spacious big bedroom, with comfortable bed. Side table for writing. Free wifi, free ice and coffee machine (unfortunately ours did not work, but this was not a problem as you can get coffee in the breakfast area). Helpful staff. Awesome breakfast with fruit, yogurt, muffins, eggs and the coffee was great! I even took a take away. View from our hotel-room, beautiful sunset!

Definitely above average facility for a Holiday Inn Express. This hotel is very new in appearance and the rooms are upscale. The bathroom is fitted with a flat panel TV, brushed nickel fixtures, and nice new tile. WiFi was strong and free! Coffee maker offers a pot at a time instead of a cup, bedside lamps have flexible private reading lamps, and everything was very clean. Breakfast was the standard fare and well stocked. The only downfall I can think of is the $166.10 for one night we paid.

Off the main road, with another Holiday Inn property between it and I-40 feeder. Kathleen at reception was friendly, professional and efficient. Room (408) was clean, quiet and everything functioned. This is a cut above the average Holiday Inn with a slightly more designer feel to the decor in the reception and rooms. We booked a suite which had a extra lounge area and was worth the extra $10. There are a number of restaurants nearby (we walked 5 mins to Saltgrass which was very good for steaks and reasonably priced). The only down side was the poor insulation in the ceilings. We could hear children constantly running around in the room above. Otherwise, good value for money.

Ok let me explain - #1 if it weren't for Hotel Tonight there's no way that this hotel would have even been an option for us (#learnhowtobudget) #2 This hotel is probably the nicest place I've ever stayed in my 24; 25 (ugh) years of existence. Not only were the staff friendly and efficient, but the new modern style of the hotel made me want to quit my job and move in a car full of my most precious belongings ( it's not pet friendly - it's fine I'll sell my hamster). It's the Celine dion of hote... Read more

We stopped at the HIE during road trip from NYC to Las Vegas. It's a short distance from Interstate, on an exposed lot. It has a wonderful lobby, with super friendly staff. We arrived during 'happy hour', with free wine and beer on offer. A nice clean room, with comfortable bed for a good night's sleep. Breakfast was the usual HIE selection, with scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage. The area was a little uncared for, with quite a bit of rubbish being left on tables; also messy around the cereal area... This hotel is in a great location, in west Amarillo with lots of restaurants around & easy access to the highways. The room was clean & the staff very friendly. The complimentary breakfast had a good offering of food & the coffee was quite good. Although this Holiday Inn was further than others to our Amarillo destination, we were happy that we stayed at this one. The cost & value were great.

We stayed here overnight after a full days drive. The room was clean and quiet. The bed was comfortable and the full breakfast was an added bonus. You even have choices of pillows to choose from to enhance a good night's rest.

From the greeting at the desk, to the hot breakfast, this hotel was a welcome place after a long drive. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. The location is away from the main city, and close to the highway but not so close you noticed the traffic. Several restaurants nearby. The inside of the hotel is very nice, with a large waterfall wall, and some really nice decor overall. Not at all what we expected from a Holiday Inn Express. We were impressed, and the rate was very low for the quali... Read more
