What you expect from a Hampton Inn. All was in order and efficient. Quick in and Quick out with friendly service at check in. I have stayed here before but found that parking on the backside of the hotel was easier and more efficient.

Typical well appointed hotel.......the memorable points are the STAFF! Check in took some time....it was a trip it seemed everyone was training front desk staff! We all had to experience training, relax, enjoy it will happen. Very clean room, wonderful bed, comfort all the way. Check out took time, as I had requested to pay cash in the a.m. and not leave on the card. I was disappointed in the quality of the room, we stayed in one Hampton in Colorado Springs last summer and this one in Amerillo twice this past week. Every thing down stairs was excellent but not the room's bed. It looked like some one had slept in the bed, sheets very wrinkled, pillows not arranged nicely on the bed, a used towel in one of the bathrooms. We did not stay at a Hampton in Denver but another motel and it was excellent, very disappointed in Hampton.

I have heard a phrase that everything in Texas is big. The 2Q with accessible tub, WOW it was large with plenty of room for my husband to move around. You can see a picture on line. He could transfer to the bed. There was plenty of room to turn around in the bedroom and bathroom. The breakfast area was roomy and the food was normal Hampton breakfast, it was tasty. We were no there very long. This was a stop on the trip hotel for us. We had a late, late check in. It was fast and we got to sleep quickly. We requested a late check out, which we ended up not needing, but there was no problem. The air was already on and the room was cool so that was very nice! The hotel was clean. Breakfast was BUSY and carb overload. We missed the fruit. But the area was clean and the employees were friendly!

This location is easy to access from the highway, but needs a bit of updating. Room was sort of dark and the air freshener used was a bit overpowering (always makes me think the room is not as clean as it should be). Bathtub was stained and definitely needed to be refinished. Service was good and breakfast was great, but we paid $189 (close to holiday, but still...) and for that price I would expect the room to be a bit nicer.

Overnite stay here was nice but we noticed the charge was a little much. We are members of the reward program and really felt the room was not worth it. Competitive hotels nearby are much cheaper. Using good 4G connection across northern NM hwy 87. Priced the Hampton Inns in Amarillo through Trivago. Big enough difference in price even with Honors to avoid the extra 2 hour drive and stay in Amarillo. Hotel is on the west side of town so we had to go a little out of the way coming from Dalhart.
