A/C in room was old & woke me up making a loud noise at 4am that didn't stop until I turned it off & then it was to hot to stay in the room, so went down for breakfast at 6am. Food was the worse I have ever had at any hotel. Front desk clerk was rude & left me waiting for 20 minutes before answering my question. Will not return to this hotel.

Twice I have stayed here. Both times, the wait to check in was long. There were 4 of us waiting to check in. The desk clerk was handling the check ins, phone calls, reservations... I did notice the manager's name on the wall. Where was he? Could he have answered the phone calls and taken reservations or how about being at the front desk helping with the check-ins? Everything was left to the clerk to handle and she did an excellent job.

We made reservations a few months ago at this hotel. After do so, I called the hotel to be sure everything was set and that they really were pet friendly. They said yes, no problem with the dog and nothing else. We arrived at the hotel to find there was no elevator and we'd been given a second floor room. I explained we had a large dog and stairs could be a problem and that when I called I was not told there was no elevator. Long story short, the woman at the desk made it clear she doubted I had... This hotel is on I40, about a mile east of I27, so it was convenient for our travel from Colorado to Austin. Though the surrounding area has nothing to see and nothing aesthetic, the hotel itself was clean and modern. Service was excellent. The indoor room access made it feel safe. I noticed others brought their pets, but heard no noises, so the rooms must have been insulated. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom good, and the TV worked well and had an accurate channel listing. The free breakf... Read more

I had read conflicting reviews about the hotel, realizing later there were two Baymont on I-40 and I had been reading reviews for the other one, so took a chance and stayed. We arrived around 7:00 pm and the front desk attendants were dealing with an issue with another guest. However, as soon as we stepped in line one of them excused himself and checked us in quickly and efficiently. We really appreciated this. We stayed in the room after our initial arrival. The room was very clean. We loved th... Read more

We stayed in room 109 on 6-21-2016. The room had 1 comfortable king size bed that provided a comfortable nights sleep. The air conditioner did an excellent job keeping up and was not very nosy. The bath tub / shower had good water pressure and the hot water was plentiful. We enjoyed excellent Wi-Fi connection as well as the in room coffee pot and ironing board. The room was also quiet and the sunblock curtains were a plus. The only thing that drug down the rating was the smell. Once you are in t... Read more

We chose this because of cost. Very worn down, ac broke in the middle of the second night, breakfast was simple and plain, no fridge in the room! Which is my fault, I didn't read the descriptions to check this, as every hotel I've stayed at in the last two years have had one. Pool was clean and fine. Customer service was disappointing as well. Asking for towel pools got a sigh and asking to check in a hour early was rudely met with a no. Again, a problem I haven't encountered in years. Served it... Read more

The front desk rep was helpful & pleasant but was working alone - check in, phones, reservations. Room was small but had everything including coffee & frig. The a/c was noisy but the bed was super! Bath was also small but everything worked and lighting was ok. There was NO elevator. You got to the 2nd floor thru a stairwell that did not feel secure. The breakfast was typical of this hotel chain and the attendant kept things full. However, the tables were not cleaned between guests.

Nothing spectacular but decent. Front desk was very nice and their breakfast was just okay. Room was small and bathroom was a tad old, could use some updating. All in all it was not bad for an inexpensive one night stay. Watch out for the vending machine it gave me the wrong drink and the housekeeping ignored our "quiet" sign and still knocked on our door very early.

Very pleasant staff and very clean. Outdoor pool was nice but no hot tub. Didn't have breakfast but coffee was good. Would definitely stay here again as there are plenty of places to eat nearby and is in close proximity to airport. Not sure of shuttle service though.

We stayed here last night. We were able to find a coupon on which allowed us to get another $10 off the rate. Our final cost of $49 plus tax was a great deal. Staff was helpful, room was clean (although sink in #208 should be replaced) and breakfast was good. We will stay here again

The bathroom sink and tub did not drain well. Water still standing in tube 1 hour after use. You need to put in elevator. Very hard to pull suit cases up the stairs. Personnel front desk were excellent and very friendly. Next time we will stay at another hotel in Amarillo, however. Can't handle the stairs.

I phoned ahead to ensure a ground floor room because my wife's knees don't tolerate stairs (if they had an elevator, then it wouldn't be an issue). The lady I spoke to told me she had reserved a room on the ground floor for me. I told her we would arrive late, between 10 and 11pm. She said no problem, the room is waiting for us. When we arrived, a ground floor room was NOT reserved for us. The manager said they didn't have anything and seemed undisturbed that her employee had guaranteed the room... Read more

While this is a nice motel there were a number of problems. Maybe they were too busy and couldn't keep up with who was where but at 10:30 at night a man entered my room with a key issued at the front desk. Fortunately he was as shocked as I was and left immediately. The next morning my key wouldn't work and so I went to the front desk and they very casually and cheerfully said "oh, your room was one of the ones that was double booked so the keys were invalidated!" Room was clean, but small. Seemed a bit damp. After requesting a ground floor room because I was traveling with a dog, I was told pet friendly rooms are on second floor - are you kidding me? There was no elevator. If your pet doesn't like stairs and/or you don't like the inconvenience of dealing with stairs every time you take your pet out, this might not be for you.

Front desk people were very friendly and accommodating. The facility overall was in need of a good deep cleaning and painting. They apparently allow dogs to stay in the hotel as we say a number of them being escorted around. Our room was clean but could see where wear and tear has taken its toll. Noisier than most hotels that I have stayed in.

We picked this place to spend a night to break up a longer drive and it met our needs. There were two people standing at the front desk, but only one of them could help us with checking-in, so we had to wait a while even though there was only one person in front of us. The biggest negative we had was the carpet in the room was damp and made our socks / feet dirty. I'm guessing this is because they just washed the carpets, so this likely doesn't happen to everyone. This stay could have been better but for a female receptionist and several of her friends gather at the front entrance smoking. They had the door blocked and anyone entering had to walk around them and through a cloud of smoke. They could have moved to one of the smoking stations on either side of the door. This is the only reason I would not recommend this hotel. Not good.
