We were traveling through Amarillo and found this Days Inn conveniently located off I-40. The rate, after tax, was just under $100 for a king. The room was spacious with frig & microwave & Direct TV. The bed was very comfy. So that's all the GOOD. Now for the BUT...... Not sure how old this place is, but the room had some issues with cracked tile, wood wear on the bathroom door and the plumbing must be old as you could hear every noisy toilet flush from the rooms above. They advertised in the ro... Read more

This place needs plumbing updates. We were in 111 and had to call the office because the shower wouldn't turn on. Turns out it worked but it took a strong arm to turn it on.

I made the reservation as we were on the road and would be stopping for the evening at this location, Reservation was made requesting first floor only. When we arrived they had us set for the 2nd floor, CRYSTAL was able to correct the reservation for a first floor room. The only dislike was that the bathroom door did not close and that we could not get the NHL Hockey game. Room seamed little crowded big desk chair.

We greatly enjoyed our stay. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious - really liked the biscuits and gravy. The front desk attendants were friendly.

I stop here when traveling from Texas to Colorado and back...my room smelled like poo, there were big holes in the comforter, the property needs some updates like the AC/heater and other things. It's okay for what it is but I don't think it's worth as much as it cost to stay a night there. The rates shouldn't be more than $50 for the quality it is. The service at the front desk is okay.

Upon speaking to a hotel expert, Leslie Kings recommended this hotel. She had the best suggestion with staying at this hotel. It was wonderful, very convenient to many stores, the mall, restaurants. The rooms were very comfy and breakfast was delicious. Very family friendly hotel with indoor pool that my kids loved. Will stay here again when in this area. I thank the hotel for all the hospitality.

I booked this Days Inn based on overall ratings on Trip Advisor, and wanting to land in a decent place for the last night of a multi-state trip with the family. Overall, our room was decent, a bit grimy, but OK. The back of the room's door had several painted-over dings from a previous idiotic guest having used it for target practice with a BB-gun. Some of the exterior spaces such as under the stairs in exterior walkways and pass-throughs can be seen as a potential security problem though. W... Read more

Our 2 stays at the Days Inn Amarillo Medical Center were excellent. The beds are amazingly comfortable! We would like to have the same mattresses at home! The rooms were clean and well appointed, and everything was in good working order. The staff was courteous and friendly. The hot breakfast was wonderful. The staff is very attentive to every detail.

There was really nothing special about this hotel.. It was a place to rest for the night. Bed was comfortable. A little overpriced in my opinion. The next morning, the breakfast was the usual. Biscuits and sausage, waffles, cereal. But the breakfast room was so HOT we couldn't breathe!! Most people were taking their breakfast back to their rooms.

Accessible room had a bath tub with a 30" side to it and several bars in the bath tub area. How is a handicapped individual supposed to use a bath tub that is not accessible? Breakfast was very good even if there were very few items from which to choose. Bed was comfortable. Room was very clean. Lack of outlets by the bed.

This hotel is definitely not what the pictures show on the website. It was not clean. The bedspreads had holes in them. There was no hair dryer just the holder on the wall where one should have been. It was obvious the linens were old and the towels and washcloths were very thin. There was a person sleeping in the stairwell leading to the second floor. Did not feel safe at all. I was very surprised this was a Wyndham property.

They have bed bugs !! I checked the bed when arriving and found signs of bed bugs the room stunk of smoke When I went to ask for refund they refused , we were in the room for 15 minutes. Then 3 days later they charged my card for 250.00 saying we smoked !! Manager is rude !!

Was surprised to hear the $100 a night rate for outdoor opening rooms and was hit with a $20 pet fee. Room was pretty decent has been updated not too long ago, large clear TV With tons of channels. Shower head was about 5'5" high so it hit me throat high. Alarm clock buzzed uncontrollably every 5 minutes so I pulled it out of the wall. Bed was pretty good, but pillows were tiny and firm. The breakfast was a little less than average with undercooked sausage patties, standard biscuits and wa... Read more

Dirty toilet, floor, pool. Nice staff. Maybe ok at 50-60$, but not $100. Ok for drunk college kids, or truckdrivers with pets, but not my family. My child's feet were black from walking barefoot on the dirty carpet. Pool was cloudy and freezing. Hot tub had brown suds. Breakfast was pretty good. Front desk was SO nice! I just felt sad and creepy about being stuck here, but we had travelled 8 hrs for a funeral. Bed sheets were clean and fresh.

Can't think of anything bad to say about Days Inn Medical Center Amarillo. Everything worked right, nice pool. Quiet room, Great Breakfast. Area behind the property could use some work.

Nice check in---accepted our service dog with no additional fee--- I DID leave my phone charger in the room and didn't realize it until we returned home-called and talked to the front desk but no return call after checking with house keeping--disappointed.

This is the 3rd time we have stayed here. Very clean and comfortable. I like the comfy chair and ottoman in the King rooms. The only negative is having to walk outside to get to the indoor pool. Thus I have never gone for a swim.

My family stayed here for two nights during the week. The place could use some updating, but that didn't bother me. We didn't spend a lot of time in the room. PROS: Friendly staff, dog friendly, bed was comfortable/firm which I am fine with. A/C worked fine. Breakfast was good ( waffle maker, two kinds of cereal, oatmeal, biscuits and gravy, and sausage). Wish they had eggs and a better variety of fruit. Complex was quiet during our stay. CONS: Pillows seem old, very lumpy, room could use a de... Read more

First of all this property is not in the best section of town but we didn't have much choice as something was going on in Amarillo this day and most hotels were full. That being said the value of the accommodations were good. The staff was friendly and helpful. The furnishings were dated but in relatively good condition. The bathroom had cracked floor tile and missing grout, but was clean. The pool and hot tub had not been updated in many years but at least they were indoors whereas other nearby... Read more

We stayed there for two nights while visiting Palo Duro Canyon State Park and the Botanical Gardens. It was a good choice to stay on the West side of Amarillo for the places we went. The Gardens are superclose to the hotel. The room was clean. The breakfast was OK, not the greatest but OK. Our son loved the Texas waffles. We also enjoyed the pool. At night it was a bit noisy - since the hotel allows pets - if you have bad luck you could get stuck with a neighbor with a barking dog. The staff wa... Read more

I don't complain on trip advisor so just being honest. This hotel has seen better days. It was shabby and not exactly clean Yes, it could have been worse but almost $100 a room was excessive for the rooms. The pool was indoors but only one light worked of many. Delapidated a good word here. The covers were stained, washed I think, but big ugly stain. Sheets hairy before we even got in bed! The air worked great though so that's a positive!!!! Staff super nice. Parking close to rooms. Too expensi... Read more
