Good place to stay off interstate. Restaurants plenty in area. Gym has enough stuff to keep in shape on the road. Buffet was good. Hotel was quiet. Parking area ok no issues. Hotel 12 years old, did not look it. Pool area, indoor looked fine. Would stay again

My normal hotel choices were booked so I took a chance on the Comfort Inn based on price and access to I-40. Once I arrived I was a bit nervous to leave my car parked in the lot because location and the large number of heavy purpose trucks that made find a good parking spot tough.. When checking in the I was surprised at the desk clerk. He was welcoming and very through on his property brief which was better that many high-end hotel I frequent. I asked for a room over looking the parking lot... Read more

The main drawback to this Hotel is the contruction on the Interstate and other areas nearby making access difficult. This hasn't seemed to hurt business any as there were many guests here on a Wednesday night. The rooms are comfortable and quite spacious, this is one of the few Hotels in town that still offers smoking rooms, and even a room with a whirpool in the bathtub. The staff is quite friendly and eager to please. There are a lot of restaurants close by.

It was a fairly good stop among a number of relatively higher priced accommodations in town. Clean and early breakfast at 6 am is a bonus. Close to the I-40 for accessing hotel and continuing trip east or west.

I have now stayed here twice. Clean and comfortable room. Quiet. Staff was professional and knowledgeable. Decent selection for breakfast. The amount of space in the eating area was not as good as it could be (no space to expand that part of the hotel). One elevator, possibly one of the slowest in any hotel. I stayed in a handicapped room (although I didn't need it). I later booked a room at this same hotel via the web site and noticed that for some reason the rate for handicapped rooms ... Read more

Very attractive hotel just off I40. Front Desk was exceptionally friendly and helpful. Being Choice members we were given a complimentary upgrade and a welcome gift which was a delightful surprise. Breakfast was wonderful; including delicious gravy, potatoes and two egg varieties. Red Robin restaurant is just across the road.

We had comfy beds. The place was quiet. The pool was clean and warm, and the hot tub was great. Laundry facility for guest use is reasonably priced, and they sell laundry soap, etc. Good breakfast lots of choices. Thumbs up!

If no-smoking rooms are important to you, then don't stay here. I made reservations over 2 months before arrival and I specifically requested non-smoking. They will tell you that ALL rooms are non-smoking, but it's a lie. There are several rooms on the 3rd floor on one end that do not have the label on the door plaque as non-smoking. There are many other rooms on that floor that have the non-smoking label, but not the ones that were were given. As soon as we walked in the room, we thought w... Read more

Very roomy room with all the expected amenities, attractive outside and inside, room floor needed vacuuming though, especially in the tiled areas. Nice bathroom, plenty of electrical outlets and DECENT toilet paper (not the ultra-thin cheap stuff).

Do not stay in this room or the motel! When AC comes on it makes so much noise it wakes you up! Motel is under renovation while still trying to serve the public. They should just shut it down and do it. Very inconvenient. Worst night in a motel ever and I have stayed at many Comfort Inns. I'm sure it will be nice when renovation is complete but for now stay somewhere else.

This was a good hotel. It was a little hard to find but once there you can navigate much easier. Plenty of restaurants nearby. Service was friendly. The biggest take-away was the jetted tub. My wife enjoyed it. Breakfast was of the normal variety.

I used my cell to book this while riding in a U-Haul and dog tired. I was looking for a King bed and was so tired I just picked one. When we checked in we were told it was a jacuzzi suite! Even with the discount it was pretty pricy. I really wld have rather just had a room with a bed but wasn't offered to change. So took a bubble bath and slept for 11 hours. Just check twice and look one more time. Was a nice room. For the price it should have not had torn wallpaper nor mung in the corners of t... Read more

We came here toward the end of a 3-week trip during which we had stayed at many Hilton Inns, Marriott, and a couple of independent hotels. Our visit to this Comfort Inn reminded us of why we quit booking rooms at Choice hotels (other than Ascend). When exiting the freeway, there were no signs to help us find the hotel. There was construction in front of the hotel, and it took us a few attempts to find the road that led to the hotel - no signage whatsoever to help direct you. Upon entering our... Read more

We were in need of a last minute hotel. We found this one late Sunday night. From the outside, the hotel looks ok. The rooms look to have been recently renovated with new furniture, including the ceiling fans. The hotel was very noisy with sounds of doors closing and the walls seemed paper thin. The sticking point for me was although check-out time was 11 a.m., housekeeping knocked on my door and before I could answer, they attempted to open my door. Good thing I had the top lock on......... We were stopping to sleep on our road trip. We had just spent 4 nights at the Cambria in Fort Collins and had a great experience, so we naturally expected a good experience at this hotel. EXACTLY OPPOSITE EXPERIENCE. And it only lasted five minutes! Checked in at around 11pm -last room with two beds. When we opened the door the smell of cigarettes was overwhelming. I immediately called the front desk and asked for another room. We were told that no more rooms were available and that... Read more

This hotel was just okay and the staff was about the same. We needed a cot and they got us one... after charging us. We paid cash that evening. The next day it was on our bill and even with a receipt argued about taking the charge off. Breakfast was just okay. The AC didn't get cold enough. We won't be staying here again.

We arrived late but had called to tell them we would be late. Room was held and available. Staff was courteous and they were busy. Lots of late night arrivals and phone calls looking for rooms. Heard them tell someone on the phone they had just filled their last room. The room was clean and comfortable, but the TV did not work. We called the desk but maintenance was gone . So they couldn't fix it Also the shower and bathroom sink did not drain well.

Stayed here twice during the month of Aug 2016 (coming and going). Recognized as a Choice member and instantly received a free upgrade. Staff was friendly and courteous. Breakfast nothing to brag about, but staff was attentive to make certain there was plenty of food available at all times. Close proximity to fuel and numerous restaurants. Low noise level even being close to I-40. Enclosed pool and nice gym facility.

We stayed at Comfort Inn & Suites on our second night in Amarillo, after having a horrible experience at a different hotel down the road. We were there under stressful times (hospital visit)... and this hotel was exactly what we needed. It was VERY clean, which was very much appreciated. Would have liked to try out the pool and breakfast, but we didn't have time. Check in was easy and the bed was SO comfortable. Would DEFINITELY stay here again

I had travelled for 6 hours with my daughter and 84 year old mother so we could go to my aunt's visitation at the funeral home. We arrived at our hotel at 1:15 pm. We had a reservation. I asked if we could check in and the person behind the desk said check in was not until 3 and referred to the sign on the wall. I explained to her that we needed to clean up and be at the funeral home by 3. She told us to check back between 2 and 3 and she might have a room ready. I drove back towards town ... Read more

My husband was in Amarillo for business and needed a hotel for almost a week. I chose the Comfort Inn based on reasonable rates plus good reviews. We weren't disappointed. My husband reports that the hotel was comfortable and clean. The wifi worked great and breakfast was good and substantial. The air conditioner did go out in the room one morning but was fixed by that afternoon. He would definitely stay there again for his next trip to Amarillo.

Our room was large and spacious with a separated sitting area. The bed was comfortable. The noisy a/c was a bit of an issue but it seems most rooms we've stayed in have the same problem. The internet did not work however and efforts to get it working failed. When I spoke to the manager the following morning she apologized and offered a 10% discount, which I gratefully accepted.

Our room was very clean, bed seems pretty comfortable. AC works well and it was close to the freeway but not noisy. We got a handicap room this time and it was easier to shower without slipping. Place was busy when we got here. I love the cleaniness of Comfort Inns and Choice Hotels. Good quality. The show wall tile did have a crack in it that needed repairing and the venting fan in bathroom didn't work.

This inn is easily accessible at exit 64 on I-40. Parking is convenient and well lighted. Desk staff cordial and helpful. Room is clean and bed comfortable. Pool and spa are enclosed and area very clean. The building appears to be strongly built- brick with tile roof. This is important in an area like this that gets high winds, hail and tornadoes. Breakfast area was clean and good selection of breakfast items. Will stay here again.

The room was nice, but the bed was the hardest hotel bed I've ever slept in. Both me and my coworker agreed that we would never stay here again based solely on the bed. It was the first night of a long business trip, and we felt the results of the hard beds for the rest of the week with back and neck pain. Staff was friendly.
