We waited a half hour in line just to check in. Our room had no TV signal; the cable was missing, and the long line continued into the evening, so no help available. A light bulb was missing. The toilet was running continuously. The ceiling plaster was chipping.

We have been staying in budget hotels throughout our US trip and this hotel is by far the best for the price range. Large clean rooms and bathrooms, comfortable king bed, quiet rooms and the free breakfast and wifi are a great bonus. The staff are lovely and very helpful and the whole place has a nice feel to it. I highly recommend it!!

We stayed here while driving from Arizona to Michigan. At check-in I had to wait while clerk assigned rooms to a baseball team. Room was at rear of hotel and needs updating. Shower hardware needs repair and coffee pot did not work. We needed to use two remotes to operate the TV. Breakfast was average, but room was small. I would not stay here again.

We found the room clean, modern, quiet, and the atmosphere quite nice. Our television did not work, having to do with an unusually complicated setup that took 3 visits from motel staff to fix. Breakfast was excellent, including hot food and several healthy choices. I also found the service very friendly and prompt. We were disappointed to find the exercise room closed for repairs.

I feel bad for the staff bc it looks like they try hard to provide good service, but it feels like the hotel isnt being funded as it should be. In general , things feel run down and dirty. Particularly the bathroom in room 238 ; the basin was dirty looking and paint had chipped from it. I also remember the bathrroom stinch. The bedcovers were wrinkled also.

This place was understaffed with one person while hotel was sold out. Long lines of people who needed towels etc. but the guy couldnt leave to get them. There was no manager on duty and none could be contacted when requested. I did not stay because I found bugs in room 250 on mattress. No response from manager or even Wyndham corporate. We were traveling through Texas in our RV and need to have the AC repaired, so we spent one night at this property. It was convenient to the RV repair shop and included breakfast and had a pool, so we decided to book a room. I wish there were 1/2 points between ratings, this place wasn't poor but it was a bit below average. While it appears there has been some attempt at updating, the cleanliness is lacking. Upon entering the lobby, it was very warm and had an overpowering chemical smell. The lobby furniture was "droopy", like grandpa's favorite chair. This place wasn't the worst...the bed was comfy and the shower head allowed me to stand up while taking a shower(I am 5'11"). The room was mostly clean but housekeeping could use more training for sure. One reviewer said the Carpet was coming up. Management responded and said it is not. Floors were dirty. AC didn't work very well. Another of the rooms was damp and smelled so they moved the girls to another one which had issues with moisture because the shower would not turn off. Quoted one rate by hotel for the group coming in but then charged another.

Check in was poor, long wait, and the hostess was not very friendly. So it started out with a poor experience. The room was clean, but old, the TV was not a standard flat screen, but an older CRT type. Had a hard time finding an outlet to charge my phone. I would not recommend this property. The A/C was noisy and I even had a hard time finding the place.

Was very impressed with this hotel, it did not feel like a budget hotel. The rooms were clean, beds comfortable and a great breakfast with many options including little cheese omelettes. It also has a self serve laundry and pool. I loved that there were warm chocolate cookies and pop corn in the lobby. Also loved that the tub had a safety bar on the wall to prevent slipping in the tub. I would highly recommend this hotel.

We got there later then we planed but was glad when we saw that the pool wasn't open. It didn't even have water in it and no one told us. The beds were hard and it was hot in the room. We were very tired the next day since we didn't sleep well with the noise and the temp and hard bed.

Room was clean and adequate with small fridge and microwave. No elevators for upper floor. Breakfast was good with hot items including eggs biscuits and gravy, waffles and the regular cereal, bread, and yogurt choices.

We were on an extended vacation--more than two weeks when we landed at this hotel. Quite heavy luggage for each of us. The night clerk was friendly as he checked us in. While a bit old and needing new carpet, new window blinds and a bit of paint to help brighten the place, it was clean and the bed comfortable. A solid 3 star hotel that is better than comfort inns. Bed was fine and breakfast included some protein options. Perfect for a nights rest while passing through town.

Holes in bath ceiling, broken coffee pots they refused to replace, vanity bulbs out they refused to replace, dirty pool, poorly maintained breakfast offerings. When brought to their attention they excused it away. Wyndham Corp. finally issued a 1 out of 4 night refund, although their guarantee is for full refund if not satisfied. We had to get our key card to our room redone every day, because it would not work. A dirty mop bucket set just inside the side entry door next to a vending machine for the entire 3 days that we were their. It was nasty, fill of dirty water and smelled bad. My husband even brought this to the attention of the maid, but she told him the water did not stink because she changed it every day. pool was great, except for the unsupervised children at the pool. Workers Children swimming at the pool. Carpet in guest room was dirty...my feet were black after walking on it. the desk clerk charged my debit card for 2 authorizations and it took a few days for one of the authorizations to release. desk manager could not help me. said she didn't know what to do.

I was greeted with a smile and sympathy from Lyman. He deserves a raise! And he helped me through every step to get into my room after i spend 4 hrs in a hot broken down car in 104 degree temperature. He was very accommodating. I hope all the Baymont hotels are like this. My room was very clean, smelled great and beautifully arranged. I will definitely return. Maybe another Lyman will be there.

I made arrangements before hand on the phone to have a refrigerator in the room. Yet after seeing there was not one in the room, I asked about it, but the issue was not corrected. I was put on the second floor with my three children, and found there was no elevator. And since there was no refrigerator, I ended up lugging our cooler up the stairs to use instead. The room was very humid and felt damp even with the AC on. The entryway/hallway was hot and smelled like wet dog. It is a pet-friendly hotel, however. The double beds had very hard mattresses. It seemed clean, though. The breakfast buffet was good. The check-in clerk was very courteous and friendly.

Our door did not lock; the dead bolt would not align with the metal plate and the only thing keeping the door secured was the gold security catch when we were INSIDE the room. The card reader worked, but it wasnâ??t needed, because as we learned throughout the evening, all we had to do was push on the door and it came open. An older hotel in need of some updates. Staff very friendly & courteous. Hallways were very hot. Room clean & bed was comfortable. We go every 3 orv4 months to ride the Candian River for past 7 or 8 yrs. we decided next trip to find a more updated place. The breakfast there is average, but never enough tables to sit down. Fire alarm went of about 1 in morning . No explanations :/. Doors remained closed all day.

This hotel is tired and needs a good cleaning. The mattress was okay. I always pull back the sheets to check for bed bugs, and there were none. Breakfast was average for a hotel of this type but not enough seating. No fresh fruit. Noisy a/c.

I was terribly disappointed in this Baymont Inn. The hotel and room had a terrible smell. The ice maker did not work on our floor. The bathroom light did not work. This hotel needs a renovation. I will avoid the Baymont Inns in the future. The breakfast was minimum. The desk clerk was friendly.

DO NOT LET THE NICE PICS FOOL YOU, THIS PLACE IS HORRIBLE! Dirty sheets, hot/smelly hallways and corridor, roaches and spiders on the dark/dim hallways, its clear this place was ONCE nice but now is falling down by the minute. The sheets in our room were dirty, the towels were very dingy, the ac unit was leaking and had our floor wet, there is so much dog poop around the property that it smelled horrible outside. I wasn't expecting 5 star but I wasn't expecting it to be a dump either.

After staying at the Baymont East at the start of our vacation, we felt like the Baymont West on our return trip would be equally the same (ESP since they're only a block away). Wrong! Our room was disgustingly dirty. This Motel needs maintenance work desperately and a good cleaning. It appears they need to get in good cleaners on a daily basis, things are not good. Staff was pleasant enough, but the facility needs work in the repairs. Our shower controls were actually taped in with blue tape.

We met our son from Missouri to returned his two children from a summer vacation in Arizona at Amarillo, Texas. The room we had was clean, lovely and very quiet. The staff helped put an extra cot in the double bedroom with two beds to accommodate five people. They were very friendly and courteous We will use Baymont Inn & Suites again. Thank you

Everything was good. Clean, comfortable, good location. The only real problem was the 6 or 7 people were smoking at the side. It was impossible to walk through them, we did tell a member of management and they did not do anything about, They could of at least asked them to walk away from the door.

A fine place to stay, though a getting a little old. My main disappointment was the fact that housekeeping kept throwing away the soap and shampoo every day. I left a note asking them not to, and for the that day they did not, but the next day they were gone again. The hotel does have the policy tag in the bathroom that if you want to help preserve resources leave your towels on the rack, but I am fairly certain those were also being picked up daily. Hotel room bathroom had scum on tub. Floor had not been mopped recently. Carpets needed vacuuming. Court where breakfast served so hot couldn't stay in there to eat. (Cooler outside in Texas 90+ degree heat). Could not find a luggage cart anywhere when we arrived.

It was clean-ish. It was well lit so safety was not a problem. It needed renovation very badly. The door was a little difficult to open ( and we are the tech generation so it wasn't our lack of knowledge . The tub was held together by water seal and chipped paint but the water pressure was good and hot. The breakfast was very good but little seating . I needed one night in Amarillo and my friend suggested this hotel. I was able to get a VERY REASONABLE rate through one of the hotel sites. Decent breakfast included, with the surprise being, wait for it, a waffle maker in the shape of the state of Texas. Firs for me ! Clean and friendly

I read the review on the Baymont East but accidently booked at the West. My mistake. The west is an older hotel, the halls smelled musty and the ice machine and other items were in need of repair. The room was comfortable though.

The evening staff was helpful and friendly. The property need some repairs!!! The doors leading outside do not lick so anyone could come in any doors day or night. The air conditioning in my room was old and sis not cool the room. Found a women's glove and head band under edge of bed so I question how well the maids are cleaning the rooms. Arrived at hotel after driving for 9 hours only to find my room had not been cleaned. Hotel maid informed me she did not know when my room would be available. My cost was $64 a night, however as a courtesy the manager offered me another room for the going rate of $103 a night!!! Then says I'm sorry we are booked, we have no other rooms available.

Let's start from entering the front door, which wouldn't properly close. Then go onto the room, 104, where not only was there a large gap under it (about 1"), but from the lock down, you could see straight into the hall. Picked this hotel while we were driving from Chicago to Phoenix to drop our son off at ASU. We were in the room just to sleep so from that perspective it was ok. Room was definitely dated and smelled musty, but was clean. The bathroom door however, did not close all the way because it was warped. Only a half a roll of toilet paper was in the bathroom. 'Mom's worst nightmare' & 'Every bad review rolled into one.' These were my children's perceptive comments. Once the used soap was removed from the shower, the sticky area in front of the vanity was cleaned w/Clorox wipes & the previous nights guest item was removed from the sofa, I was able to note that the sheets & towels were clean and no bed bugs were present in the room.

This place is severely rundown and in need of a major cleaning. It's not in the greatest of neighborhoods and the staff is less than friendly. The breakfast was decent but not worth the stay unless you are desperate.

Travel a lot. First time at Baymont. Ceiling torn with openings, nasty material on windows, microwave damaged inside, fridge not cleaned, spots on bed sheets, bath tub peeling and toilet stopped up (plunger next to toilet), hallway carpet not vacuumed. Truly not a good hotel.

Checked in after being on the road all day. Was given a room on second floor. I asked if a luggage cart was available, retrieved it, and proceeded to unload my gear. It's difficult to believe that Wyndham Hotel Group has not closed the Baymont Inn & Suites in Amarillo Texas. We found the property to be dirty, dingy and the rooms unkept and smelly. Sub par property. Trash everywhere. Laundry basket dumped outside in back of building. Baking dogs in other rooms kept is up. The only reason o gave this a 2 was because the lady who checked me in was a real sweetheart and was very helpful.

Over also very good hotel for the cost. This is where my family stays anytime we are in Amarillo. Although this time the cable was so bad you almost couldn't watch the TV and the Wi-Fi doesn't really work.

The staff was freindly, but condition of the property poor. Rooms are run down and do not look clean. The breakfast room had roaches. I checked out a day early because of the condition of the property. I expressed my concerns at the front desk. They apologized, but did not offer a discount off my bill.

When I arrived at the hotel, the hallways were warmer than the room! I tried to set the heater on the wall unit, and the smoke alarms went off wildly!! I turned it off, went to the front desk to ask for a blanket, and explained what had happened. This hotel needs a lot of work. bathroom cabinets in need of new paint. Mold in the shower . Carpet needs replacing.The carpet smells and doesnt seem like even with a good cleaning it would come clean. The doors to the rooms are dirty.The hallways are dirty and ulitiy doors are dirty. The security doors at night are not locked.. The whole property needs a complete remoldel.

Rooms were good sized & comfy bed. Had a nice outdoor pool. Breakfast average..not a bad place for the price. They were cleaning carpets in hallway & some rooms while we were there....always a good sign. Many restaurants within walking distance

This hotel received a fairly good review from another hotels websites, but once there, it was obvious that the rooms hadn't been inspected. There was a stale smell in the two rooms we rented. There was obvious mold in the rooms. The beds were not comfortable and electrical appliances were not well maintained and some didn't work. The staff was very helpful and courteous but this couldn't make up for the overall bad conditions of the rooms.

I recently stayed twice at this location within a few days of each other. On both stays, the check-in staff and the breakfast staff were very pleasant and accommodating. I was really disappointed in this hotel. Not your typically Baymont. The room stunk. The security box requiring the use of a key to get in the back of the hotel was removed from the wall. It looked like it had been yanked off the wall. On the positive side. The staff was friendly. Would not recommend this hotel.

Didn't start off to well as the first room that we were given was certainly not up to standard and after talking with the manager who was totally embarrassed did sort the problem and did an excellent for us as clients. Room was comfortable and clean and would certainly try again.

I've always heard Baymont Inns were very nice. This one isn't. Again, we waited to late in the evening to get a room and had to take what was available. When will I learn? Air conditioner is slow to cool the room. The young man at the front desk was very nice. I think his name was Lymon.

Stayed here for a night while traveling from AZ to TX. I usually stay in Tucumcari and book a cheap hotel And know what to expect from a cheap hotel. This place was nothing like that, it was soooooo much better! I'll start with the bad: the only thing I noticed and didnt like was that the parking lot lights on one side and the back of the hotel either didn't work or weren't on. Took 1.25 hours for check in because Wyndham central booking doesnt have the same room codes as the Baymont. Original reservation was at other Baymont but they didnt have a 1st floor room as requested upon booking. So, we cancelled that reservation (and lost our $25 wyndham rewards perk) and booked a King suite at the Baymont west. Finally took a different King room and all went well. I had a single king sized bed which I found to be very comfortable. The room suited my needs very well and was reasonably priced. I especially appreciated the quietness. The only problem I had was the presence of some fleas in the bathroom sink. These were not a huge problem and service folk addressed the problem when I mentioned it at the front desk.

The room was not cleaned well, curtains were shredded, outside doors did not work so safety was an issue, there was a hole in the bathtub that had been fixed, fixtures in the bathroom were rusted, there was hard black plastic trash on the floor waited 40 minutes for staff from desk to come and they did not show up. Called to talk to manager next night and asked for Corporate phone number and put on hold.

I've stayed at six other hotels along here in past 2 months. This is the property I will return to for the low-mid range priced facilities. Also, it is the best and most comprehensive included hotel breakfast around. Btw, I'd noticed the reviews were mixed - so I walked in to check it out before booking and found it better than some write about. Set your expectations correctly and this place will meet or exceed them.

This place is awful. The shower did not work at alll, no running water to the tub at all. This place should be closed down. When I let the the front desk know that there was no water to the tub. I got the impression that this wasn't news to her and she already knew that it was broken. I would compare this place to living in the 1920's

The staff was very friendly when we arrived. Training ongoing which we observed. Rooms, halls and furnishings were clean although not new. Nice TV with many channel options. Staff gave good local eating suggestions. The water in bathtub ran very slowly after shut-off which we reported. Lighting in room was good. We enjoyed sitting around the pool which was covered but the weather was nice so we enjoyed the fresh air.

We were expecting more from Baymont. Although clean the room was prettty basic. The bathroom cabinet had been boarded over Nice staff and good breakfast. However, room air freshener needs to be supplied when feed lot odor is so strong. It made for an unpleasant night.

The rooms were so dirty. The bathroom was filthy with black marks like coal all over the tub. They sprayed a deodorizer called vanilla dream. I know the name cause they left the van on the tub. The bed I had to check to see if clean because they were so wrinkled. Our friends room smelled like a cigar which was a no smoke room. Very very sad. Last the security door had the scanner ripped off it so the door open to the whole world.

Booked online for $52. Helpful staff (responded immediately when I reported a barking dog - problem solved), clean room, excellent king bed, fast wifi, omelets for breakfast. Some signs of wear & tear around the edges, breakfast room a bit messy, but all you could expect for that price. I didn't notice any of the problems reported by others on this site.

We requested a refrigerator the clerk said our room had one. We went to a movie went to our room no fridge. Called clerk @ front deck, this one was very nice, she was the only one working and said she would bring one down. Mean while we turned on the furnace and it made so much noise you could not sleep. I went to the office and the very nice lady changed our room. no disturb, or no tv instructions.

It was a nice stay at a decent hotel. The only issues I had where the fact that my key card would not work for more than a day at a time (for a three day stay), the bath tub was painted, and the paint was peeling off, and they charged my card for three separate days instead of all at once. It's like they just want to give away reward points.

The overall staff was very professional especially Lynn, Katherine/Kathlene and Ms Rosa. My trouble came with my room. The heater and shower did not work . The room was very noisy the farthest from the lobby. I am disabled and had a hard time getting around. I was given a small rebate for one night but I was there 3 nights. Not quite what I was expecting compared with my last visit.

The beds are small and the hotel is quite old and has not been updated. You can practically hear the people next door breathing. We heard random conversations all night through the walls and door. They do allow dogs which I am unsure if is a good thing or bad thing. It doesn't smell which is a plus. They do offer breakfast which was okay. This place is really only good if you plan on sleeping there only for a night.

We use this hotel to break our road trip from Denver to Dallas in half. It was perfect for our needs we have two young children and were able to make sure they had a hot breakfast and used the restroom to resume our journey. Staff was pleasant and room was clean. The hotel met all of our needs.

I arrived at the establishment around 10:30 pm. There were signs on both entrance doors stating that there were no rooms available. After inquiring inside the note on the doors were correct.
