This hotel has nice non smoking room. The presidential suite tub is heaven. Excellent staff and very helpful and respectful. The morning BUFFET breakfast is delicious. I also put my out of state family members here and they also love it. This hotel is close to the mall and many different types of restaurants and shopping stores. I like the Starbucks in there too. Great place to stay!!!

Older hotel with clean but dated rooms - they remind me of a suite in Las Vegas - the emphasis is on the wet bar. Laundry and housekeeping is excellent. Wifi is free but practically useless - too slow to simply check email or browse - don't consider streaming anything. Breakfast is often cooked to order pancakes eggs etc and is well prepared. Surprisingly the morning coffee is some of the best I've had in any hotel. There is also a store that has Starbucks all day but not 24 hours. Watch out a... Read more

We stayed at the MCM Elegante in early April for a meeting convention. We were there for 3 nights. The rooms were clean, the bed was comfortable, and the linens were in good shape. There IS a dated feel to the place. We did have lots of key card troubles, particularly on check out day, which can very tricky if you don't have your cell phone and you are locked out of the main hotel on an upper floor where they have a few rooms outdoors on the extension of the floor. We understand not to put ou... Read more

The hotel itself is very nice and has a lot to offer. However, they can't seem to keep a reservation. They cancelled our reservation for multiple rooms two separate times. If I hadn't had to call to make a change I never would have known the first time they cancelled it. We learned about the second cancellation when we arrived to check in. While waiting in line at the desk there were two people in front of me also having trouble with their reservations.

the rooms were outdated. my margarita had a Smokey flavor. ended up on a outside room and had people knocking on my door and trying to get in my room at all hours of the night. I was on the second floor and the people above us were very loud all night. when I complain to front desk he just smiled. had to go home to get rest. it is a shame we spent out honeymoon here and was getting away for the weekend. they say you get a cooked to order breakfast but it is not cook to order. plus they have ti... We stayed here as part of a wedding party. We were very pleased with the size of the room as well as the room's layout. There was some noise problem due mostly to the fact the floors are all tile and they allow dogs. Great value. Great breakfast. The parking is somewhat of a problem. The staff was very friendly.

We loved the size of the room. It was a little outdated but very clean. The happy hour was nice and the bartender was friendly. The gentleman making the eggs cooked to order was friendly as well. I am still giving it 4 stars but we were very surprised at the bad attitude of the front desk personnel and the restaurant personnel. I complained to the manager on checkout but she was disinterested.

We were there for a 50th High School Reunion. From check in it took us 2 hours and 20 minutes to get to a room. We were placed in a very nice room for the night (which allowed smoking, major issue for me) but had to move to another room the next day. And again we waited for a room to be made available. We missed several planned events just waiting for check in to this hotel. There were 5 separate events going on in Abilene that weekend but the hotel should have been ready for the extra tra... The staff are good and overall the hotel is well maintained. The gym equipment is not consistently working but I have had that experience before at this hotel. The breakfast is good with many selections. The happy hour was very crowded with long slow lines to get your drink. The pool is nice but it still seems odd to have a "watcher". Overall good stay. Large, quiet, comfortable room.

I have visited this hotel several times over the years, recent renovations make it one of the best hotels in town! It can be loud in the community areas but the rooms block the sound a great deal. Beautiful pool, nice bar/restaurant, yummy breakfast!

Overall, I like this hotel but every time we go there's something wrong...coffee pot didn't work, Iron board wouldn't go down, ...this time, my sister's jewelry was stolen after the room had been cleaned! We came back to change for evening service, my sister changed and put her jewels in the bag on the vanity. We returned and they were nowhere to be found. She made a police report the next day! We left Fri. ,they just called today, Tue., to say the jewelry bag miraculously was found in the room,... Read more

We were very excited to stop and stay at this hotel because we had just had such a terrific experience at the Hotel Eleganté in Colorado Springs. In fact, that is one reason we decided to drive a little bit further to Abiline, TX. We booked the room two nights before leaving Colorado. We ran into some car trouble which delayed our arrival to the hotel. I called twice to let them know what happened and that we would be late. The second time, they made a note of it on our reservation and said it ... Read more

Granted this hotel was at full capacity it was a good stay. Here are some pros and cons with this hotel PROS: Excellent rooms well appointed Social Hour in the Lobby Breakfast Spa in the pool area The architecture alone would make an impressive setting for a wedding/reception And now for the Cons: Pool was rather cold!!! Other than the pool being chilled thats really the only negative I can say about this hotel. Excellent r... Read more

I booked our room through booking.com and had no issues checking in when my wife and I arrived. Everyone was friendly and our room was pretty clean. We arrived and hour early and they had a room ready. When we got up there, a cleaning lady asked if she could come in and vacuum the corners of the room. I didn't think she needed to but hey it was ok. That shows me they are committed to do things right. So we left all of our trash in a single bag for them and left all of the extra things like... If you care about safety, security, customer service, nice rooms that don't smell, and being charged the confirmed rate - definitely don't stay here. When we arrived to check in, it took forever and then they tried to charge us $30 more per night than our confirmation. The explanation was because 2 adults is more...yet our confirmation had 2 on it. The lady tried to say my 2 year old had to wear an armband to use the pool and I explained that my daughter wouldn't wear that but I could (since... Read more

We choose this hotel as we had stayed in the Lubbock hotel recently and loved the it. Room was supposed to be non-smoking. As soon as we enter d cigar smoke could be smelled as well as what smelled like marijuana. My husband immediately called the front desk. We told they were full and had no other rooms but that the room would be comped. All night long the water in the tub ran. Not just a drip but running. When we checked out the room wasn't comped. We asked for a manager and they had ... Read more

We recently stayed at this hotel to move my son to university in Abilene. The people at the hotel were very hospitable and helpful. As I didn't rent a car, they did offer to pick us up with their shuttle van/car around town - even helping us transport a fridge from Target to the college dorm. They were always extremely polite, kind and helpful. The room was clean - truly a suite - almost too much room for my son and me :-) with a nice TV and iron and kitchenette. The bathroom was cleaned ev... Read more

They and thier families joined us on this particular weekend as a central meeting place since we are so far apart now. Great visti thier kids enjoyed the pool and games available.

This is an older hotel with nice people. The things I liked best were the coffee shop, 10 Commandments statue, and the bed. In all honesty, it could have been cleaner. The hair in my shower indicated a lack of thorough cleaning, which was disappointing. I could feel vibrations in the bed closest to the window and it woke me up wondering if we were having an earthquake. I was never sure if it were the motorized entry door below me or someone walking in the room next to me.

We stay here every time we come to Abilene, unless they're booked! It's great for families, with everything onsite, such as food, drinks, games, pool, patio, even a sweets shop for those with a sweet tooth! Something for everyone.

I was so excited about my stay that I got there 30 minutes early and was told my room was not ready and that I should wait 30 more minutes so I did after I had waited my time I went up to the check in desk and asked if I could check in now, I was told my... We came for a college visit and were treated to a free night at this hotel. While the décor needs a serious update, the pool, the beds, the wifi and breakfast were wonderful. The people who served us breakfast were so kind. There are lots of games just off the lobby and the pool was warm and clean. Attendant was on site to assist with anything. the beds had newer mattresses and were very cushy. better than at home. This is across from Abilene Mall and near a Target and restaurants.

My girlfriends and I visited Abilene recently. There were 4 of us altogether. We stayed in a double suite. It included 2 beds with one sofa sleeper in living area. The living area had a sofa, chair, kitchen sized table with 4 chairs and a bar area that included a small refrigerator, a microwave, small storage areas and a sink with a big mirror above it. I would say that the decorating did cause me to pause as it looks like they got bargains on some pretty ugly curtains, carpet and such, but... Read more
