Nice overnight stay. We went to Abilene to watch a college baseball playoff series. This was the weekend for the Western Heritage Rodeo. Abilene was full of people and the hotels were full. We felt lucky to get a room.

This hotel was kept very clean and tidy. It was very up-to-date. The kitchen was a bit shorthanded for breakfast but the gals there stepped it up a notch and we're able to cover with no problem. This is in a good area close to many restaurants for dinner.

Exterior view is very pleasant. Lobby is inviting and beautifully decorated. Thats where it ends! The room was old looking and worn. The soap dishes in shower stall were black, and chipping. It looked like they had black mold. The breakfast Buffett was horrendous, everything was cold. My experience with the hilton chain, has always been pleasant, up till now!

This was a good hotel. We were in town for a weekend as a couple and it was clean and well maintained. The chef that prepared my eggs knew exactly how to baste them. He even came out to check to see if I liked how they were cooked. Very few will do that. We were pleased.

This is your basic older Hilton garden inn. It is clean with good linens and decent rooms. I had a standard sized bathroom. The check in was friendly. The fitness center is small with a small indoor pool. The lobby is nice with a small bar. They offer complimentary snacks and wifi.

Front desk did not have complimentary sundries to provide so I had to purchase an overpriced tube of toothpaste. A/C unit ran all night and was extremely noisy. Mattresses and pillows are uncomfortable - mattresses too firm and pillows that do not provide any comfort - might has well have slept on bricks. They have a down comforter as the only blanket option. When it is 90 degrees outside I would like an alternative option such as thinner blankets stocked in the closet. Potatoes served during br... Rooms were great and overall nice, only issue was the pool area. Not clean and not really adult friendly. Check in was easy. Loved the shower. Beds are what you should expect from Hilton. Would stay again but just not for adults.

I nearly always stay at this hotel when I am in Abilene. It is clean, quiet, and the staff are courteous. The breakfast is good, with a nice selection of the usual breakfast fare, including omelets and other things cooked to order. (I used to like it better when breakfasts were "free".)

I travel for a living and love coming to the HGI. Nick, Matt, Robbie, Ed, Shane and Shaun will take great care of you. The pool and hot tub are the icing on the cake. It is the best restaurant and hotel in Abilene ! Don't try other spots in Abilene this is the one.

Poor service, leaking AC, cold coffee and rooms that are not cleaned when you check into the hotel. Do not think of this as a Hilton property. Beware when you see the burned put neon aign what kind of hotel quality you are about to experience.

Nice hotel, quiet, clean room, efficient check-in and check-out. We got a bargain weekend rate when passing through on a trip. However, when passing back through town on the way home, rates were much higher so we stayed at a comparable hotel for less. Breakfast is generally not included, so keep that in mind. We had breakfast plans with friends, so it made no difference to us.

A great hotel. EVERY TIME I'm in the city I stay here. The staff is always friendly & helpful. I always get a good nights rest & I'm able to work from the hotel in peace. When I do stay here I take advantage of the restaurant downstairs. I've never been disappointed. Make this your next stay.

We stayed here for a wedding in the Abilene area. The hotel was updated, clean, and the staff was kind. We did have an issue with our room smelling like cigarette smoke even though it was a non-smoking room. We were unable to change rooms as the hotel was full when we asked for a change.

We tend to book at Hilton properties because we have come to expect and appreciate the high level of satisfaction the Hilton brand provides. However, this was not the case in Abilene, TX. Now to be fair, the hotel experienced a massive lightning strike a day or two before our visit which knocked out critical services like the A/C, phones, and elevators. But, the staff seemed completely overwhelmed with the circumstances, and we felt their attention to the guests was sorely lacking. We checked in... Read more

It's quiet. The staff is very polite and the rooms are clean. This is my second time here and both times the wifi is sketchy even the premium so I always end up maxing my LTE data using my iPad as the alternative to stay connected. I would of given it a higher rating but due to the lack of reliable wifi on not one but two occasions 2 months apart is why I chose the average rating. We are in 2016 and reliable internet is a MUST for a business traveler.

The Hilton garden inn disappointed me with their service this last business trip. I reserved a room through the Internet with requested beds and received a different room at check in. I complained to the clerk and all he could say was the system showed a different request upon check in. I showed him my iPhone confirmation indicating the extra bed and all he did was shrug his shoulders. Poor service!

When I checked into this $170.00 allergy free room I was very disappointed. There was poop left in the toilet long black hair on the floor and counter. The coffee bar had spills all over it and supplies. The air conditioning unit I guess had been worked on with wood splinters and metal screws left in the floor the screws hurt my heal and the wood stuck in my foot. I told the front desk about the room. Their comment was sorry about that. I paid $170.00 for that room

The hotel did not have working elevators for two days due to an electrical storm. Phones did not work, no hot water in the shower (issue corrected within 24 hours). I hate to say anything even slightly negative about any Hilton property, but my family and I were less than impressed with this Garden Inn last night. We'd driven from Fairplay, Colorado, and it was, admittedly, a rather long drive. We were exhausted. The restroom in our HGI room had a filthy, uncleaned toilet (!!!) and the shower had quite a bit of mold. Floors were not clean, had to ask for extra bedding for gold out couch. Hair still in sink and bathtub. The patio area was a mess with trash and glasses and had not been cleaned up. The front desk staff was quick and not overly excited to greet people. I will say, the pool guy was absolutely amazing. The pool was sparkling clean and he checked in on us several times to see if we needed anything. For the price of the room, breakfast should be included!!!!!

This hotel is an honor to the Hilton brand. Not only is the staff first rate (thanks Shane), but the food and service in the restaurant is a solid three star. But it is in Abilene, Texas! Good work! A great place to stay and eat.
