This is an older hotel that has been remodeled, but it is kept up well. We stayed 3 nights. Hotel room was cleaned well with fresh bath towels every day. The breakfast is a real plus. Yes, like someone mentioned, they do ask you your room number and only give you the number of plates as guests that are registered to the room, but that is fair. And they ask you not to take anything back to your room. The breakfast is one that I could see some "sneaking in" to eat. Or taking some back to your r... Read more

When we arrived I though uh-oh, this is going to be interesting. However, upon entering the hotel it was extremely clean and the staff was very friendly. Yes, the carpet and fixtures are a little dated, but the cleanliness of the rooms was unmatchable. The whole place smelled clean. The pool is nice and large. It was in the upper 80's the days we were there so the nice lady at the front desk opened it up for the kids. They had a blast. The breakfast was wonderful. It is a full buffet. They even ... Room was supposed to be a king bed and sofa bed" not recliner bed chair" Which the manager said it was a comfortable bed. Lighting was horrible. Room smelled bad. And to top it off a ipad was stolen. And no help was given. I really wish i would have just chose a better hotel. Haven't seen family in over 6 years and this was a bad experience.

Stormy night stop on way from Dallas to Lubbock. Subcontinent management at desk so braced for "the usual" i.e. patel kartel experience. Reserved but friendly enough. Several tries to get a room correct enough for the night in that it didn't reek of damp, of cleaning fluid AND of stale old smoke. The furnishings are another story best left untold unless you fancy a time-warp experience at the most likely supplier for the good-will collection store. Bath outdated but functional, minimal amenities... Read more

Affordable hotel with a good room (wide), clean and good breakfast. The only issue is with breakfast time up to 9 am, but is enough for the price. Have a Thai restaurant with a good cuisine, also at the next have a Bar with live music. I can recommend if you want to stay more than a week, because have room with kitchenette if you want to prepare somethings. Another rooms with microwave, coffee machine (with coffee) and refrigerator. 42 inch. TV. Was nice. Mr. Kapadia the Administrator, good... Read more

Very comfortable here. The location is convenient, and the free breakfast is outstanding. It's not a fancy place. Just a good, clean, affordable place to stay. Those reviews that use words like "seedy" to describe Country Hearth Inn were written by snobs. One minor quibble: Our room had two great big beds but only one chair.

Booked tripadvisor.com., which would only allow us to enter 2 people but when we got there with our four people the owner said we had to pay $10 extra per person for the free breakfast. The rooms were very dark, the carpeting was old and worn, paint was peeling off the wall, no ice in ice machine, the breakfast was the same as offered at other hotels: waffles, meat, juice, eggs. The room seemed very disgusting the bedding was new but it did not make up for worn, dirty carpet and peeling paint. ... Read more

I guess the saying that you get what you pay for us spot on. The bed was clean. Hotel in desperate need of a renovation. Shower runs hot, then cold, then hot, then cold, etc. Bathroom is kind of yucky. Furniture well worn. "Curtain" on window torn and in bad shape.

I've read some bad reviews here, but there is nothing wrong with this place, especially for the price. We had two rooms and they were both great. Clean, good AC, well furnished, and plenty of hot water plus way better than average TV than most hotels. Also, one of the better pools you will find. Breakfast was your typical hotel breakfast just like anywhere else. I will go back again.

The 2.5 star review is pushing it for this hotel. The hotel is in need of some serious upgrades the bathrooms were falling apart on the ceiling, water stains on walls and ceilings, and old tubs. They need some serious help. The rooms were average at best. No microwave or mini fridge that I remember. The rooms and carpet are in need of an upgrade. The hotel does offer a free breakfast buffet with freshly made omelets made to order. The 2.5's could be gotten if you include the breakfast buffe... Read more

If you're looking for a budget option thus one is good. I stay here when I pass through Abilene. It's being updated over time but it us older. On done rooms there is a musty smell. It's not terrible. Beds are clean and comfortable. Rooms are spacious. WiFi has always been spotty. The breakfast is outstanding. I have a strict diet. It is very rare for me to get made to order omlette a eith fresh organic eggs and fresh fruit. Very nice pool area friendly staff. It's not a high end pla... Read more
