Me and my husband stayed there for the week of thanksgiving. We have never stayed here this was our first time. The hotel we always stayed at was booked so my husband booked the week here. This is one of the cleanest hotels we have stayed in. It was awesome. The room we stayed in was on the 2nd floor. The bedspreads were purple. It was beautiful. The owner was the sweetest lady named Pat. She was just wonderful and so informative of places to eat and go visit. She treated you like family. She ... Read more

Pat and Daryl made us feel right at home, even collected us from another hotel. House keeping staff ( Nikki) exceptional and always had a beautiful clean and stocked room to come back too. All the rooms had a balcony with chairs and table that over looked the river. We extended our stay an extra three days because it was a perfect location for getting around with the trolley system and walking distance to most locations. Thanks Pat ,Nikki and Daryl you made Pigeon Forge feel like home for us. My sister and I have stayed at this motel for a number of years and have always found it to be really clean with exceptionally comfortable beds. Pat and Fred (before he passed away last August) have always done a great job of being both very hospitable and have done a great job of managing this wonderful motel. Every time we come to Pigeon Forge we stay there. Highly recommend staying at the Rivergate Inn.

My wife and I found this gem of a place by accident and we are so glad we did! Mrs. Pat, the owner, welcomed us and made us feel like family from the start. She is a wonderful lady and was extremely helpful. We stayed in a king room with a Jacuzzi and it was great. The room was very clean and had everything we could have needed. Our private balcony looked out over a river and it was relaxing to sit outside. The rooms were also very quiet inside. It is within walking distance to anything you... Read more

We always look forward to spending some quality time at the Rivergate Mountain Lodge. Once again, we were not disappointed! We were saddened to hear Mrs. Maples, the owner had just recently lost her husband, Mr. Fred Maples. Over the years of visiting here, we always looked forward to visiting with him and his little dog. Very good location, right by the river, one block off main highway, within walking distance to many shops, and great places close by for entertainment for the kids. The Old M... Read more

We just needed a getaway for a night and this place was perfect for it! My grandsons just wanted to ride go carts and hang out. No place better than between 2 go cart places... Wonderfully clean! I see so many on here harping on the outdated parts! I thought it had great character. You wouldn't tell folks you spend the night with that their stuff was outdated. It was clean, comfortable and affordable. I'll definitely be back!

We stay here every year for the Shades of the Past Car Show. I have stayed at very expensive hotels when I was working that was not as clean as the RiverGate. The rooms are very quite, the beds comfortable and they even supply extra's such as toothpaste. This hotel's location is just a few hundred feet off the strip so it's close enough to walk to many restaurants and attractions. I disagree with the the other comments about the rooms being "dated". Our room was tastefully decorated and had v... Read more
