James Manor is located adjacent to "The Island" in Pigeon Forge, so it is an easy stroll across the bridge to all that The Island has to offer. The hotel price was a great bargain and I found the rooms to be clean and functional. It's not a 5-Star hotel, but you're not paying 5-Star prices either. The staff was friendly and the continental breakfast was adequate. My wife and I feel like we found a hidden gem in James Manor and we will definitely be staying there again on a future trip to Pig... Read more

Clean. Staff was very courteous. We liked the beds because they are very firm. View from our balcony of The Island was spectacular! Balcony is spacious. Best location if going to The Island. James Manor is right in front of it. The only challenge we had to deal with was the balcony light that stayed on all night. The light beamed in our faces due to the window in the door and the position of the beds. Sleeping the first night was difficult, but the following night it was not as bad. We may have ... Read more

We had stayed religiously at the James Manor from the time it opened until '09. At that time we ventured to other places. We decided to give our hotel of choice a few years back another shot. So now, a family of five we booked a suite and it did not disappoint. Still had the hospitality from years past and also brought back many memories. Cleanliness wasn't an issue! The room and hotel grounds were what you'd expect. With that said we highly recommend the James Manor. It's once again our hotel o... Read more

Perfect location to visit the island. At check in the staff was super friendly. Overall the room and our stay was great, the ac could have been better didnt seem to keep the room cold at night. We had a room facing the road, was hoping for one facing the island but that's the luck of the draw. The indoor pool was smaller than what it appeared to be in the pictures and when we went through to check it out it was packed full so we didn't bother to try to swim. Within walking distance to The Island. Short Drives to everything else. Bed in Rooms were comfortable, and loved having the balcony in each room. The only problem with that is with those people may be smoking off of them and leaving doors open. Our room smelled like smoke. Hotel states it is smoke free. We went and bought a bottle of air freshner and sprayed in the room when we woke up and whenever we left and it got better. Suggestion is for hotel to leave bottle in rooms if they smell it ... I booked this hotel based On amenities and location. I loved that it was in the center of everything and right next to the strip. I also was very pleased at how clean it was dispite the extremely tiny bathroom. I was not so pleased in the fact that the child's wading pool that I was so excited about was so freezing cold that my kids could not even put there feet in it. The temperature for the other outside pool was fine but the kids pool was ridiculous. This would have been a perfect hotel to re... Read more

This is our second time staying at this hotel in the past 2 years. On this trip the lady at check in wasn't very pleasant at all. She seemed to be in a hurry and didn't engage or smile at all, but whatever. The room is huge. We had a suite and their was plenty of space for our family of 5. The location of the hotel is the best part of it. Easy walking distance to many attractions. The breakfast was very nice and had a little bit of everything except any meat. As far as decor and very updated hotel, not really. But we love the location of being able to walk to the Islands and the breakfast in the mornings was very nice. Need something to cover the door going out to the balcony. The blind over it does not keep that morning sun from shining through quite early. But all in all was a great stay!

I was told they could not due that, even when I offered to pay the difference. So it cost me 159 dollars for package and 25 dollars for taxes which I was responsible for.100 dollar gift card plus rebate for 100 dollar night stay at another one of their hotels later.Basically free stay. This isn't the cleanest place to stay. However, the bathroom was clean. But the carpet is so dirty your feet get black. Not a good thing. Convenient location. But we won't stay here again. The staff is friendly. Sometimes you have to park across the back street. Not too bad, unless you are carrying things in or out. The pools inside and out are too small for the hotel.

Location is great for the island! The beds are hard and uncomfortable. The bedding is thin and cheap made.Bathroom was clean but small. The lobby "reaks" of chlorine from the indoor pool. Cleaning daily isn't great but leave an envelope for a tip, all they did was make beds, clean towels. I wouldn't choose this location again

Wyndham Resorts put us up in this hotel, so that we could hear a sales presentation. We stayed here for 3 nights. It was a very large room on the 3rd floor. We overlooked the Island - very nice view. There are some rooms with balconies, but we didn't have one. The room was clean with refrigerator and microwave and up-to-date TV. Internet worked pretty well. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast was advertised as a hot breakfast - only had white pepper gravy and biscuits or waffles.

We found this hotel to be a very calming and relaxing place even though it is on the main strip and outside The Island Outdoor Mall. From our balcony we faced Paula Deen's restaurant but the noise from the mall was minimal. We could see fireworks every night from Dollywood too--it was very nice! Booked this hotel thru Hotels.com at the last minute. The place was clean and smelled clean also. We booked the mini suite, room 302. Stayed 4 nights. Room was clean and complimentary breakfast was fairly good. Had 2 problems. Wi-fi service had a lot to be desired. Our room was right across the hall from the repeater and most of the time we were lucky to get 2 bars. Parking was an issue. I have a handicap permit and people would park in those spots without a permit . We complained to the fron desk but received no satisfaction.

I will never stay nor recommend anyone to stay at this hotel. The staff are rude and are not accommodating in any form. Their parking lot is intentionally not clearly marked so that they may collect a portion of tow fees. It's a shame for a hotel so closely located to the newest attractions in Pigeon Forge to be such scams.

We stayed here because of the location, which is excellent if you are looking to be close to "The Island" and all it offers. Unfortunately, location is the only thing we enjoyed about our stay there. Staff person at check-in was rude and gave us the impression we were disturbing her. Easy access to attractions depending on traffic, perfect for The Island. Clean and comfortable room. I was disappointed I did not get a balcony as promised and parking was not always next to the hotel but easy walk across the back area of the hotel. We had a 2 bedroom suite. Upon check in found hair in the bath tub, and carpets were filthy. One room was cleaned and the other was never touched... The entire stay! I called the front desk and the lady was very rude and said "What do you want me to do about it now?" Only thing they could do was tell us they'd been short staffed and give us $22 and change as a refund. Will never stay there again.
