Contrary to some of the reviews we've read, our room was clean, quiet and up-to-date w/frig and microwave. We spent 4 days here and staff went out of their way to be friendly and helpful. Two negatives--no exhaust fan in the bathroom and strange sounding A/C which produced a loud buzz each time the air came on. The hotel is convenient to attractions and restaurants and about 10 miles from Smoky Mountain National Park where we saw bears and deer.

The breakfast was fantastic, the rooms were nice, and the pool clean. It would be nice to have balconies and an outdoor pool, but they did have an outdoor tanning area which was nice. The staff was very nice and knowledgeable.

Walking in, the lobby is big and beautiful. The desk staff were very friendly and accommodating. Our rooms were clean, up to date and comfortable. This is a very old property and not everything has been updated or even maintained. The bathroom counter was granite with a new faucet. The shower/tub appeared to be original and had bits of the finish cracked off. The pool area is the worst. There used to be a large water fall into one side of the pool which hasn't worked now in more than a year an... Read more

We made reservations at a Clinton Tn hotel who said we could earn addl rewards with a special program they had and connected us to another operator. We were told we could reserve a 4 day stay with an upfront fee of 199.00 and upon our arrival we would receive the 199.00 back in cash in addition we would receive a 100.00 voucher for a future HI stay. This hotel is a little dated. Our a/c wouldn't cool below 73 degrees. The beds are comfortable but not luxurious. The lobby areas are beautiful. Just what you expect in this type of setting. Overall, it is decent and clean. Especially for the price we paid.

The rooms were roomy and the beds were great for our stay. Each floor has a long hall way(before you turn to go to the rooms) that have chairs and a table in it with more rooms at the end. It felt like a random empty space. The rooms were quiet and we couldn't hear anything from other rooms. With there being two or three other motels behind it I expected a lot of traffic noise. Nope. The staff was very friendly and rooms were very clean. You do have the option to not have room service during you... Read more

First room air didn't work, bed had lumps in it and room smelled musty l. Second room was much better but when I looked down at the carpet by the window there was a mushroom growing on the carpet. Yes, a mushroom. The pool ceiling is in desperate need of repair. The best part of the hotel is the lobby, it's deceiving because the new rooms don't reflect the welcoming part of the hotel.

The staff was friendly and professional. Easy check-in, and the gal who was new to Check-out did a great job. Personable and friendly. Easy to get to the room. Clean fresh feel. Some things seemed old but what can you say. It's an old building and they seem to care about the hotel. The young man who checked me in asked what type of room and location I preferred. The location is away from the main Parkway, tucked behind a very popular cafe. It has a trolley stop. The Parkway is probably VERY crowded during the high season. Once upon a time the pool room was very attractive, but apparently there is a severe roof leak problem which has left the paint peeling from the rafters. That said, there was a very nice hot-tub and a big indoor pool, and good quality tiling,( which did need some rejuvenation,) not very well utilized when we were there, a week or two ... Read more

Just returned from a business trip where we stayed at this hotel. The lobby was fantastic and the exterior was super clean. The rooms were smaller and didn't look like they had been updated in a while. Overall it was clean but outdated. We stayed in a room where the AC fed from the rooftop air. The roof rocks were covered in mold and made my stay pretty unpleasant from a sneezing/coughing standpoint. The hotel is ok, it's in need of a major upgrade though especially when it comes to the room AC. They are still using the wall systems, and I'm not sure what is wrong with them but they are not working. Granted it was hot and Humid but our room was unbearable when we walked in. The room size was adequate but the plumbing fixtures were rusted, stained and dirty. The pool area was a nice size but paint was peeling off the ceiling and the pool and hot tub were dirty; they both appeared unsanitary. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone! It is listed on Priceline as a 3 star, but that is not the case at all.

The room was average clean, amenities were average and could be better. I prefer a continental breakfast at the hotels I stay at. They are simple inexpensive and quick. Seems none of the holiday Inns offer this amenity along with many other chains. However, kids eat free which is a plus on the budget. Parking at this inn was convenient and there were enough handy cap spaces to go around, in the 3 days I was there

We were passing through pigeon forge for a couple of nights on the way home. Jennifer checked us in with great care. The restaurant was good but slow. This hotel is pretty on the outside but needs a facelift on the inside. Everything needed a touch up. The elevators are way too hot for it being hot on the outside, I thought we were in a sauna. The trash can outside was over following at night time and no one seemed to care. Same with the trash can on the floor we were on, overflowing. The staff were super accommodating since the air in our room was not working and needed directions for a few places. I would stay here again if needed.

This hotel does not deserve the 3 star rating it currently has. I was concerned since I had read the terrible reviews. It turns out that my concerns were valid. The managers' stock response to the bad reviews are that they are "hoping for an update". Upon initial entry, the hotel lobby appeared clean, modern and welcoming. The staff was friendly upon check-in. The bathroom door was stripping in places. The paint on the ceiling of the pool area was coming off in sheets. And the waterfall in the pool was comple... Read more

Had to attend a business meeting and they chose the venue. Having never stayed at this particular property before, I checked the Holiday Inn website and was feeling pretty good about the choice. Off the main strip but close to everything. But then upon arrival, the pictures are/were somewhat misleading...the lobby looks nice and the desk staff was very nice (other than Adam) but the rest of the hotel is in need of some serious cleaning/updating!! We were placed on the 5th floor, stepping out of ... Read more

I booked a room here because a conference I was attending was being held in the hotel. After booking, I read the reviews and was very nervous about what I would find when I checked in. First, the positives: the lobby and restaurant look to have been recently updated and look very nice. The staff has been friendly, the location is great, and the meeting facilities are good. My room was large and I was pleasantly surprised that it was clean since other reviews have stated otherwise. Now the negati... Read more

We stayed here for six nights while doing a trade show. I liked this hotel a lot. Large rooms, clean and convent to Leconte center. Check in easy and fast. Having to type two hundred words in these reviews is really stupid

Another reviewer Julie was exactly right... the beautiful lobby pictures lead you to believe this hotel is nicer than it is. The lobby is nice... it's everything else that is sorely lacking! The overall feeling is definitely one of a hotel that is in desperate need of refurbishing. It's old and it shows. The bathrooms were awful... the wood door was warped and chipped at the bottom, the tile and sink area is outdated and worn and the and the amenities were minimal. The air conditioning was ... We had a nice time during the 4 days we spent at this hotel, and the staff was nice and helpful-especially the housekeeping staff who did a stellar job and the restaurant hostess who knew- and was very willing to share- info about the local sights and events. The lobby area of this early-80s hotel is spacious and attractive. It seems to have been renovated not too long ago (see pix), but the halls to the sleeping rooms have many visible mars and scrapes caused by luggage carts. And the rooms t... Read more

Hotel in good area in middle of pigeon forge. Rooms are dated, no outlet or charging station near bed, across the room. Bathroom really outdated. Curtains sheer and no blackout curtain. Conference was good.

I was skeptical after reading some of the recent reviews. However, I was pleasantly surprised to find a nice, clean room and welcoming lobby. The carpet in the lobby and on the first floor was in good condition. The wallpaper along the hallways to the rooms and in my room did show some scuffs and signs of wear, but the hotel was very clean overall. One of the mattresses in our room was not great. It needs to be replaced soon. The breakfast buffet is fair. I would not recommend eating th... Read more

The hotel has a good location. The hotel is large full-service hotel. The lobby is well-done and looks to be recently updated and is large with a fireplace. The hotel staff was helpful especially housekeeping. BUT the rooms need some help. The bathroom had a granite counter top but was tiny and paint was chipped and the tile floor was cracked and dirty. The carpeting was worn and dusty in the corners. The beds themselves were fine but the sheets were terrible. They were threadbare and very worn.... Read more
