Had a great stay at Econo Lodge Riverside.. Quite, clean and everything we were looking for on our trip for Spring Rod Run 2016 . Would definitely stay again. The staff was very helpful and courteous. Indoor Pool was clean, myself and the kids enjoyed it. The only issue I had, was with the laundry room, the dyer didn't work very well. It took forever to dry our towels after swimming. I would definitely recommend this hotel to family and friends.

Hotel needs some updating! There was a hole in the bedspread and it was very worn. I was ready to leave, but after going through the place I would have to say it was clean. Just needs some sprucing up with furniture etc. I would not stay there again though. Too many other hotels at same price that are nicer.

I have stayed at this particular Hotel twice. I love staying on the Riverside. The rooms are really nice and the beds are comfortable. Everyone at the front desk was so accommodating and willing to help you with whatever you need. The continental breakfast is excellent. Better than it would normally be. The game room doesn't really have any fun games such as pinball or Pacman. Feeding the Ducks is so much fun for everyone. We'll stay here again!!!

Housekeeping does a very good job, our room was clean. Hotel in main areas was clean. They keep up on things around the hotel, someone pulled the light out of the pool and they came down quickly to check it and fix it. Staff is super friendly. Have stayed there twice now and is going to be my new go to place in Pigeon Forge. Also, a nice pavilion, fire pit and walkway along the Little Pigeon River in the rear of the property.

This was a couples trip. This is a very nice hotel. We were impressed with how clean this hotel was and how nice it was in appearance. The little creek at the back, with its ducks and geese, is a very relaxing and enjoyable place to sit at the end of the day. A nice continental breakfast is served in the morning, and the staff is very friendly. This hotel is also right in the middle of everything in pigeon forge. I would recommend this hotel to others.

I have stayed at this Econo Lodge many times over the years, either with my family or just my husband. It has always been very clean and the staff is always so nice. My only complaint is parking. Our room was on the front side of the building facing the highway and there is only one row for cars directly in front of the rooms there. One grand baby stayed in our room. So crowded we really could not move. It was cleaned daily and really clean nice people. But I don't plan on going back.

The Econo Lodge Riverside is in a prime location on the Parkway. The rooms are dated and there are a number of minor issues that needed to be addressed, but the price is right. Some were and some were not on a To Do List that would be taken care of during their replacement upgrade period. The problems as we came upon them. The lamps were a good idea with dual outlets on the base of each beside unit, the problem was that none of the outlets worked and they were going to replace all the lamps beca... Read more

This was an excellent choice for our stay in Pigeon Forge. Friendly staff and a clean room with all the usual amenities. The price was very reasonable ?? my husband thought I was paying for one night when I was actually paying for two! I??ve never seen a more efficient breakfast staff. Although the breakfast room was packed, 5 ladies made sure everything was constantly full and the tables clean. We really enjoyed the river view and the 100 or so geese and ducks that loved being fed. Ther... Read more

We stayed her two nights during the Pigeon Forge Rod Run. The hotel is in the parkway at the northern end near light 2/2a. We ended up in a handicap accessible room due to the there being sold out. So this room may have been a little larger. Good points: comfy bed, best water pressure of any hotel I have stayed in hands down, our room was 155 on ground level and farther back off the parkway. We preferred this due the traffic noise from all the hot rods. They have an indoor pool which we didn't u... Read more

We stayed for one night on a trip through the Smokies. We were pleased with the cleanliness and comfort of our first floor room facing the river. The room was rather small but fully equipped. The breakfast was very nice and fully equipped with a pretty area in the court yard for outside eating as well as inside. It was economical and well situated near restaurants and attractions.

We visited Pigeon Forge last weekend and had a wonderful stay at The Econo Lodge Riverside. We have stayed there before and the return stay was delightful. Three other families joined us and they were impressed with the facility and service. I highly recommend this motel if you visit Pigeon Forge. Clean rooms and a great breakfast that really gets your day started right. Enjoy!

We stayed here during the winter in one of the poolside rooms. My kids loved the hotel and the pool, but I'm a bit ambivalent on it. We were on an upper floor, but the pool side rooms are basically all enclosed with the indoor pool. The noise carries, and I wouldn't have gotten any sleep if I hadn't used a noise app on my phone to drown out the shouting from below. The room was average. It could use a deep clean, and it wasn't anything fancy. It is a typical family hotel, and we could clearly... Read more

I really rate it a 3.5 which would be between average and very good on TripAdvisor's rating. So I would just call it good or ok. Pros Location Fire pit and picnic area Ducks Comfortable bed Friendly staff Cons Difficult to find your way around Small elevators Overdue for upgrades No view from most rooms Be sure when you check in to unload at the front door no matter where your room is otherwise you will be lifting your cart upon the sidewalk because there are no ramps. Got a Groupon for this hotel for right around $80 for one night. Very cheap, which is what we were looking for. The room was a bit small, but it had a king size bed and was clean. There's a pretty good continental breakfast, pool room, and a mini arcade room. Right outside the hotel is a river, which was nice to walk next to in the morning, but (I guess because it runs through a city) had warning signs along it stating that it was best to just stay out of it and wash hands thoroughly if you did ... I was looking for a a cheap easy place to spend the night on the strip to get a jump start on our day at Dollywood and around Pigeon Forge. At $38 for the night it really fit the bill. Our check in was easy and it's in a great location with an easy walk for kid related activities. The hotel is dated but seemed clean for an older budget place. Bring some candles though to mask the grandma's house scent. Free breakfast was ok. They had biscuits w/ gravy, cereal, toast with various jellies and a... Read more

Well I had it in my app so I knew that was a lie, I still had confirmation, and spoke with an agent from booking.com and they had no knowledge of my room being cancelled. The Econo Lodge Riverside is most likely the best Econo Lodge you'll ever find. I have visited the Smokies (both Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge) at least once a year for the past 25 years, and my family enjoys finding a new place to enjoy from time to time. I will note that I spent six years working in the hotel industry in the past including two years as a hotel manager. Most of that time was spent at a Fairfield Inn by Marriott, but I did spend some time managing a Comfort Inn & Suites as well. I... Read more

This hotel is constantly booked on the weekends and there is a reason for it. From the moment you walk you know this isn't your typical Econo Lodge. Rooms were very spacious and clean. Breakfast area was large and well staffed. The pool is great with a separate kids pool , both indoors. My only complaint , although minor, is that we got a poolside room and the smell of chlorine was prevalent. Staff was friendly all around, on par with Disney standards. A good tip if you have kids is t... Read more

We stayed her for a few nights in October. This was our second time at this hotel since we liked it so much the first time. Rooms are clean. Staff is friendly. Price was decent. Love feeding the ducks out back. Breakfast is average, nothing special, but not awful either. Pool is nice. Wish there was more to do in walking distance, but not the hotels fault. No real complaints. Would definitely stay here again.

Rooms are clean, however carpet could use replacement. Request to have an interior room - surrounding pool. Bathtubs are raised - not small child or elderly friendly. There is a kiddie pool, regular pool and hot tub - all indoors. The "game room" is really few claw machines, so don't let it be your deciding factor. Breakfast is decent - one meat, eggs, pre-made waffles, cereals. Suitable for a budget option.

After a fabulous drive through the Smokey Mountains we arrived at Pigeon Forge en route to Nashville. The town is a bit of a shock as it appears to be one long fairground. The hotel was at the end of the town and as the name suggests alongside the river and well situated for nearby bars and restaurants which the hotel gave us vouchers for. Large clean room with all the expected facilities at a reasonable price. The only down side was the rush at breakfast as there were three coach parties there ... Read more

This is our third stay at this location. This is a beautiful hotel, with a nice pool and park-like grounds area. We had a few issues, starting at check in. We had requested adjoining rooms with the other party in our group. I realize this is a request, not a demand, so it's not really a huge deal to not be able to get it. We were told at check in that we could not have adjoining rooms because we had requested one room to have a parkway view and one room to have a courtyard view. Completely not t... Read more

This is our second time staying here. My husband and I and two kids. We've loved it both times. The hotel is right on the river and there's machines with corn to feed the geese and ducks. Located right beside the Christmas shop with a sidewalk in between along the river. There's also a shelter with picnic tables. The price is always and great and probably the best continental breakfast we've ever had!

Came on our quick getaway after our wedding. Right at the start one of the ladies at the front desk had an attitude. We looked over it, but it was enough to not want to deal with her anymore. Made our way to our room && the electronic device for the key didn't work. Wouldn't read our key, light up, nothing. We stayed six nights last month and overall, were completely happy with our stay. But there are things that need improving. One is that housekeeping on our floor/section did not come till VERY late, sometimes past 4:30. Who wants to come home from a day out expecting to find a nicely made up room to see the same mess you left earlier? By the time housekeeping arrived, we were exhausted and just asked for towels and told her not to bother. We tidied the room ourselves. That happened three days in... Read more
