Check in was slow. Got in around 11 at night and they had 5 people working the front desk. I stood in line for 15 to 30 minutes. Bed and pillows were great. However, the walls and doors are thin and you can hear people talking in the halls and upstairs Place is so big you need a map or GPS to get around.

We just back from staying at The Inn at Opryland and had a great time. Free shuttle to Opry Mills was an added bonus. Restaurant was great!! Beds were very comfortable and the room was very clean. Great experience and everything you would expect from a Marriott hotel. Front desk clerks were very helpful..

We landed late afternoon and had tickets to the Opry that evening. So we wanted to stay somewhere close. The pictures looked good and the price was right. But after we arrived, we noticed the place is very old, smells a little funky, and has a lot of deferred maintenance.

We asked our travel agent to move us from the Millenium Maxwell. The Inn at Opreyland is only a shuttle ride away from downtown but it opens new options in music food and shopping that you would not have explored. And the staff are incredible: Shelley at reception is the one with the big hair and a big heart to match. I've never seen anyone work so hard to make the guest happy- she even arranged a complimentary shuttle pass because it was my birthday !

Yes, this is an older property that has been remodeled and it still has a motel look to it. Aside from that, I do not understand why so many negative reviews. We found the staff to be very helpful and polite. The rooms are comfortable and clean. Best of all with a "fee" you can get an unlimited shuttle pass that will take you to all the tourist spots (or real close to them) and some of them are at least a $25 cab fare each way. Take a cab from the airport and then take advantage of the shut... Read more

This hotel is wonderful. we arrived around 9;30 in the morning on check in day and they had our room all ready for us. That made my day. We stayed on the outside of the hotel with our door on the exterior and the traffic was alittle loud. But the hotel staff was very friendly and the property was very clean.

We stayed two nights while in Nashville and the room was clean and the bed comfortable but this has to be the noisiest hotel we have ever stayed in. We had requested an exterior room but was given an interior room. The pool is in the atrium area and was extremely noisy. They have a "quiet time" from 9:00 pm - 9:00 am but kids were running up and down the hallway screaming until 10:00 pm. I was just about to call the front desk when ithe noise miraculously stopped. Stayed at this hotel this year, because of a price hike at the Opryland Hotel. This place has a lot few amenity, however, hotel staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. The room was very clean, and there was free parking. Very close to a lot of good restaurants. There is even one in the hotel. Had a room on the bottom floor, the room was very close to where I parked my car.

The hotel was comfortable and convenient and I would stay there again if I did not have to hear music every night from the ballroom below. There is a 9pm quiet zone, but there was very loud music coming from a reunion on the first floor when my room was on the third floor. Stayed at this hotel for a conference that was across the street. When walking into the Inn you are greeted by the strong smell of chlorine from the indoor pool behind the lobby. The room I stayed in had water stains on the ceiling and the carpet was frayed. Other than that, the room was clean. I mentioned the Inn's shortcomings in a follow-up survey and was personally contacted by the manager.

The name is misleading if you think this is the Gaylord Opryland showplace. If you are thinking about staying here please try to get a room that opens to the indoor atrium/pool area. The motel rooms that face the parking lot are in need of renovation and maintenance. High levels of sirens, road noise, people shouting in the parking lot, etc. Would recommend Marriott fix or drop this one from their offering. Not impressed for the price.

This was the second time in 3 years I stayed in this hotel for work related activities. The check-in experience & lobby ambiance were fine, free shuttle to Opryland Convention Center and shopping mall was a plus. There was a plenty parking spaces outside and free wi-fi in the room. My family & I were in Nashville last week for a fun-filled, family weekend. Being the frequent travelers we are, we generally have good eyes for finding quality hotels. Upon reviewing several hotels online, we felt confident that the Inn at Opryland, A Gaylord Hotel, would have to be a great place to stay (after all, if Opryland would place their infamous name on a venue, it should be pretty pleasant right??!-wrong). Noisy and dated property. I am AMAZED, SHOCKED and APPALLED that this is a Marriott! There are many rules about children and then we could not sleep because the hotel was hosting an adult class reunion with blasting music. Furthermore, there is a nice restaurant and the staff was ok, location is great but the rooms were very small. The beds were doubles disguised as queens. Our bathroom was not as clean as any Marriott standard.

The configuraton here is unusual, with a ground floor pol, surrounded on the next few floors with the rooms. Almost like a centrium on a cruise ship. I wouldn't want to stay here if I had mobility issues. The trip from the few lifts to the rooms isn't that close. If you do have mobility issues, let them know when you book, as there are a few rooms on the ground floor close to the side entrance. The rooms were nice enough, and the pool & jaquzi were nice. Looks ok from the outside, public areas seem ok but the room absolutely stinks. It smells like there is a damp towel somewhere and our room is not the only one, after speaking to other guests. Maybe the aircon should have it's filter changed more often. It's an outside room so it's very noisy too, all you can hear is engine noise. Touring holiday so no choice of inside room. Don't let the lobby fool you. This is a hotel that I'm surprised that Marriott owns. It's like a cheap hotel that Marriott rebranded and put lipstick on it. Staff was nice. Rooms are not desirable. I have never understood the 'atrium' design of hotels. It's like they were designed by a person who has never used a hotel before. This hotel is like a giant rectangle, there are rooms on the outside and rooms on the inside. Some face inwards, and you have to keep the blinds closed, or anyone walking around the corridors can look right into your room. So your room experience is essentially a dark windowless hotel room, and apart from the picture of a guitar on the wall to indicate Nashville,... Read more

When we arrived at Nashville airport we found the Gaylord Opryland desk, from which we purchased our Airport shuttle tickets - I am sure our round-trip tickets to our hotel only cost $25 each. We loved this hotel. Very clean and beautiful. Room was very nice with a king size bed. Bed was very comfortable. We paid a great price. Went \to the restaraunt in the hotel and it was very good. Great service. The hotel offers a shuttle to the Grand old Opry Hotel and gardens for free. They were very prompt. Would always stay here when coming back to Nashville

This hotel was very different from a normal Marriott. There are rooms that open inside like a hotel and rooms that open outside like a motel. There is a decent sized pool, a kids pool, and a hot tub - although its jets were not working. The rooms have some dated features, but the bathroom was very sparkly and new and the bed was super comfortable. The staff was beyond friendly. And there are restaurants within walking distance. I would stay here again.

If you've ever been to Caesar's in las Vegas, this is bigger. Everyone has logistics problems getting from lobby to room to food to tour bus locations and back. Place is a nightmare depending on where you park and any constructions. We parked in Cascades area because parking near our Magnolia section was totally taken by construction in Magnolia parking, but our room was 72 (starting from 0) so it was walking upon walking upon walking. After reading some of the reviews on here I did not know what to expect but this is a perfectly lovely hotel. Check in was swift and painless. We had one of the outside rooms that, although it was a bit of mission to get to, was clean and well appointed. Cleaners turned up every day and every member of staff was bright and cheerful. I have seen complaints on here about the shuttle bus and how it takes ages to turn up. Its not the bus from Harry Potter you know, it gets affected by traffic just... Read more

Hard to fault this place, it was extremely spacious. Rooms were clean, beds comfortable only downfall was the loud air con, being so hot we couldn't not have it on through out the night, but that would be the only fault to find. A great little breakfast bar in the middle with comfortable chair and tables to sit at, informal but nice! Great pool facilities and the restaurant was great also. Great live music while dining, friendly and helpful staff.

A beautiful hotel, the inside atriums all had lush gardens and water with coyfish but with over 3,000 rooms you get lost just trying to find your room and the maps they give you are substandard. But the biggest diappointment is you have to buy a bus pass to get to downtown Nashville. The bus leaves the hotel every hour on the hour. And there is a catch if there is an event at the venue downtown , the streets get clogged up very fast and the bus gets stuck in the traffic hence you cannot get t... Read more

We had a great time in Nashville playing golf. I found this hotel to be nice and a decent value. It's primary benefit is proximity to give The Opryland Gaylord hotel and golf courses in the area. It does have outdoor entrances to many of the rooms . It appears that this hotel was once a old style motel . I recommend this hotel, though I wouldn't say it's anything exceptional.

Stayed here as part of tour so don't know price paid, but imagine to have been at the cheaper end of the hotels stayed at. Place was ok but really strange layout. Felt like staying in an indoor sports centre or gym. Guessing, but wonder if this has been an outside American style drive in motel with outside passageways to rooms, and they've simply put a roof over the centre, hence the strange situation of an indoor but outside style pool. The room was okay, nothing special. I stayed there due to it is within walking distance of the grand ole opry. One of my biggest problem with the room was that the sink was outside the bathroom, no sliding door. It was not cheap. They do have a shuttle to the airpoet for a small fee. As part of our recent southern states tour we had two nights at the Inn at Opryland. We went for an atrium view room. The atrium was across the corridor behind a lift. The room was very dark with the only window looked out on to the corridor. Less expensive than central Nashville which was 20 minutes away by shuttle coach. I felt that the hotel wasn't trying to impress, relying on visitor volume rather than providing quality.

They have a shuttle that goes regularly to the Gaylord, and the Outlet Mall so it's not bad.
