Close to downtown, this is a great place to stay for the money. The room was roomy, clean, with trendy decor. This is a great room for 3 opposed to 4 persons. Staff helpful, friendly, and professional. Every time we entered and/or exited hotel, the staff would give us a friendly greeting or goodbye. Great staff for cost. Thanks to Gwen, Jamiee, and all the staff for the southern hospitality.

My boyfriend and I recently traveled to Nashville from Boston. We chose Nashville because the airfare is so inexpensive right now. We decided to stay in this hotel because of it's great location. I would definitely recommend this hotel because it was very affordable and you could walk to everything. Alisa at the front desk and Richard at the bar were so friendly and accommodating, they were our friends by the end of the weekend! Would definitely recommend this hotel!

The staff here were great, as was the location, but these are the only postitve points I have for this hotel. The breakfast consisted of stale bread, stale cereal and stale pastries. The pancake machine was quite good though. As others have said, the rooms open onto an outdoor corridor. This means that the curtains need to stay shut when you are in the room. There is no overhead light and so living with lamps makes it a bit glum. Also you can get into the external corridor straight from the stre... Read more

Alisa, Aleta and the Head Honcho were super-friendly and very helpful in resolving a registration glitch (that may have been of my making!). A short walk to Broadway, the river, the State Capitol building and a very nice war memorial. I would recommend this hotel to any traveler.

I recently stayed for 3 nights. The staff were really friendly and helpful. The location is great - everything within walking distance. Rooms are clean and have all the amenities you need. All in all a comfortable place to stay.

The hotel is very well appointed. I was surprised that the rooms faced outside with no interior rooms but they are nicely done and the property is secure. Alis and Nathan of the Front Desk were wonderful people to deal with. Very accommodating and helpful. A+ .

This hotel was within walking distance of downtown attractions. Also, it was reasonably priced compared to other downtown hotels. The staff (Aleta and Axel) were extremely friendly and helpful. We had a minor problem in our room which was handled immediately and to our complete satisfaction. My only suggestion would be that they install towel bars in the bathrooms.

The hotel is in a great, convenient location. We were easily able to walk to Broadway, printers alley, the country music hall of fame and even to the Gulch. It was affordable, clean and the staff was great. Alisa was friendly and helpful and we had a great time getting drinks in the bar and chatting with Richard.

The front desk Alisa took care of us in a brilliant way. Showed us everything and smiled all the time, which means a lot really. The valet Cliff, and Axel were outstanding with getting our car. Will stay again most definitely.

Capitol Hotel provided us exactly what we needed: a reasonably priced (for Nashville) stay convenient to other places we planned to go. Basic outside rooms, renovated a couple years ago in a modern/industrial look. Front desk helpers were Gwen and Alisa; friendly barkeep was Richard. Bar could add more branded liquor vs. never heard of well brand.
