From the moment we walked into the Maxwell house we had the best experience in Nashville. We were greeted and checked into our room quickly by Alexis. Alexis is courtesy, polite and friendly. She pulled out a map and got us acquainted with local places we wanted to see in the city.

We stayed here for two nights and is easily accessible off the main ring road network of Nashville. Staff were friendly and helpful with maps, advice and directions regarding the attractions. We took advantage of the free shuttle service to downtown, and driving to & from the Grand Ole Opry was very straightforward. Rooms comfortable although the d├ęcor in this 1970s building is starting to look tired. Live music in the bar/restaurant and food was good. Breakfast buffet good.

The wifi in this hotel is terrible. I couldn't connect to any of the networks. Worse still was when I rang the front desk they transferred me without any notice to an external tech company. Then I spent 20 minutes on the phone to some stranger who wanted my name and room number and actually asked me if I was in airplane mode!!!!! Anyway, 20 minutes later and no solution. Lots of wifi networks , none working, hotel itself doesn't care. Very poor. Won't stay here again and would not recommend this... Read more

We had a family get together this weekend and most came from out of town and made this hotel our base. Pluses - parking is free, location to downtown and to highway entrance is great, view on city side is very nice, breakfast buffet is good and reasonable, elevators are quick Negatives - rooms are dated but tasteful and clean (tubs not so much), parking can be a challenge when the hotel is having a big event, on morning of the Nashville marathon we got a unwelcome 5am wake up call from loud musi... During check-in they had us in a room with a King bed (I booked double beds for my friend and I), the bathtub was rusty with leaking water and not clean. I like rock n roll music but not breaking the sound barrier in the room next to us (3 AM- 6 AM) until someone else called and complained on the same floor (5th floor). We paid $280 for this experience. When we checked out, they were aware of the music and said "don't let this experience keep you from coming back". That was it!
