Stayed here May 1 and 2. This hotel had spacious rooms. Little tired but clean. Did not eat here nor did I encounter any staff other than checking in. The fella that checked me in was neutral. Not friendly nor rude. Did not even let me know about any of the hotel features. The shuttle was convenient for sure. And the shuttle drivers were always friendly.

Hotel is very accommodating, overall. The free shuttle service to the airport is a nice and convenient feature. Ash is a great driver and super friendly. We were in good hands and the ride was easy to coordinate and quick. It was a great way to say goodbye to such a warm and lovely city.

Clean rooms & front desk staff is very friendly! However building & rooms are very run down! People that work in breakfast area, are super rude also! You can find much nicer Hotels in Nashville for the same or even less money! If you go around Vanderbilt, you will be much happier!!

Our first trip to Nashville. Hotel is a bit dated but rooms were neat and clean. Restaurant and bar were nice. We did not spend a lot of time at the hotel so we didn't interact with staff much. The free shuttle to Broadway was awesome!

The free shuttle service can be a blessing when it is on schedule. However, we found ourselves waiting up to 25 minutes to be picked up and the timing was unreliable. One of our drivers, Mac, was very helpful and courteous. I would recommend introducing yourself at the beginning of your visit as he will go out of his way to help you.

We spent 4 nights at this hotel and thought it was a overall decent place: however, we did not like any of the food they served. The buffet breakfast eggs were really bad along with the bacon and biscuits. The dinner foods were also unappealing especially the barbecue and fried chicken which was very over cooked. We did have hamburgers for lunch one day and they were delicious. Our room was adequate ( bed was fine but pillows were horrible) except the sink area was way too small to put your to... Read more

Stayed at the hotel for business. The rooms were a good size and the wifi was spotty and had to use a mifi. Food in the restaurant and the bar had a good band. The hotel is near downtown and has a shuttle service. Could use some upgrades but it was a good value for Nashville.

Our housekeeper, Pen, was excellent. She was very attentive and timely. The food was good when we ordered room service. I will have to say that I was disappointed that Maxwell House coffee was not served at the Maxwell House. The staff was very attentive and friendly. I will return next year for the same event.

This was my 15 annual vacation at the Maxwell House, Nashville! Perfect 6 days! New management is wonderful. Many new upgrades which was very nice. Many long term employees that show great pride in caring for their guests. Angel, a wonderful, long term employee thanks great care with the shuttle service/bell hop. Each year he makes me feel "at home" Lana one of front desk specialists goes to all lengths to assure "happiness" of her guests. Enjoy the beautiful well kept pool! M-Las Vegas

I travel 2-3 times a month so I stay in many hotels. This was one of the worst. Examples: 1. The Wi-Fi. I was there for four days and could not get the Wi-Fi to work. Hotel staff and management know this is a problem for some time now, and nothing is done about it. 2. Some hotel staff are great. Some...not so great. 3. There for four days and my hotel room was never cleaned. 4. Location...nothing near the hotel. 5. Bed comforter died a long time ago. Flat and overused. 6. The ba... Read more

Yes this hotel is dated but it's clean and the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The shuttle downtown and to the airport is handy but the downtown one did seem to fill up quickly. We only ate breakfast here and both had the breakfast sandwich which I can highly recommend.

My daughter and I decided to head to Nashville after orientation at Ole Miss. Booked through Priceline before we left Oxford. Location was great easy access to everything. If you don't want to drive they have a shuttle to downtown that runs every half hour. Rooms were clean, staff was nice, the beds were comfortable. For $154 it was a good value. Would stay again.

Upon check in we found that Expedia downgraded our room from a King to a Queen. Ok, apparently not the hotel's fault. The front desk staff was very sweet but couldn't change the room. Then we walked into the mildew smelling room. Outdated is an understatement. The pool was completely filthy. Room service occurred SOMETIMES. When I requested fresh towels they had to return them "later" and did not take our used towels. The morning they did clean our room I came back to a pile of hair in the corne... Read more

We stayed here for the Music City Bowl and all in all it was ok. The rooms are clean, but the hotel is certainly not walking distance to downtown. They offer shuttle service and Nashville legend, Monells Restaurant is not far away. It's a nice hotel, but off the beaten path.

The room was okay. The wifi was zero. Called the front desk repeatedly only to be passed on what seemed like an outsourced tech support person, who was more polite than the person at the front desk! No wifi for the duration of our stay. I think the hotel was probably one of the best in the 90s.

We stayed here for one night and thank goodness that was all, it really needs updated, we woke up to a bunch of noise and black stuff coming up out of the bathtub drain. So we couldn't take a shower. Not very clean but the staff was extra nice. Will look elsewhere next time we come to Nashville.

I had read reviews about this hotel and didn't expect much. However it was even worse than I thought. The hotel looks tired and shabby.it's a long way from downtown and the shuttle bus is erratic it was supposed to be every 30 mins but wasn't. Breakfast was $12 but only 1 drink included so coffee or juice but not both. The bar didn't open until 2pm. The equipment in the gym creaked. Nothing postive at all to say. And it was expensive. Avoid!

I stayed at the hotel for a meeting I had in Nashville. The staff was pleasant; however, the rooms need some updating. The bathroom had hair in the shower, there were stains on one of the beds, dust on the furniture, etc. The wifi didn't work, thank goodness I had my Myfi with me or I wouldn't have been able to complete any work. I stayed here years ago and it is clear they have not updated anything since. I will not stay here again when I return to Nashville.

I've read widely varying reviews of this hotel, but I had a spacious, clean room. The hotel décor is cool and stylish and the staff were very helpful. I used the hotel shuttle a few times from downtown and the drivers were polite and friendly. Breakfast was a little expensive for what it was and it is not near anywhere else to walk to but that was a small complaint seeing as we only stayed 2 nights.

I booked this hotel with a third party app. I have never stayed here before. This hotel seems to get mixed reviews, which always makes me hesitant. Overall, we had a pleasant experience. Fine for an overnight stay if your budget is tight--our Sunday night room was $107 plus taxes--but the whole place could use a redo. Our door stuck, they gave us two double beds when we had reserved a king, and our room wasn't ready when we arrived. A 4:00 check-in time is awfully late.

We booked this hotel at the last minute on advice from our daughter. It is an older hotel near the downtown section of Nashville. It has been renovated. In particular it has a large attractive and comfortable lobby. It also has a very nice pool area in a garden type setting. The rooms showed their Ava a little bit, but were nice enough. Then she ran my credit card and whispered to me that it didn't go through. I gave her another card and it did. Problem turned out not to be the card but the way she ran it. I had to call the card company and they told me there was no attempt to charge on it. I then went back to the front desk and made her try again. I... Read more

The hotel was basic and boring and good for one night only. I read the reviews after booking the room on Priceline. I was taken in by the 3.5 star rating. I paid a pretty high price for a 2-star hotel without working wifi. I did not contact the front desk because the reviews said this was commonplace and I did not want to complain. This would be a nice hotel for somewhere around $ 120 per night max. We paid $1,200 for 3 nights this past weekend...outrageous!!! The rooms are shabby and not well kept. The breakfast is something that you usually get for free at other hotels. The rooms have double beds, not queens. The staff was nice, especially the shuttle drivers. The water pressure is outstanding and the towels are nice.

Let it be know I have never felt the need to write a negative review before. However as I'm in my room at the Millennium I feel the need to do so. I wouldn't recommend staying here unless you plan to come back drunk, and won't remember the hotel. The hotel needs a MAJOR renovation and upgrade. When you walk in you feel like it's a 1970's funeral home. When you get to your room you realize it's just a 1950's hotel room. The rooms are small. The bathrooms are tiny. The dusty burgundy carpet is re... Read more

NOT 3 STARS!! DIRTY, RUN DOWN, BROKEN PLUMBING, UNKEMPT....POOR HOUSEKEEPING.....WOULD NEVER STAY HERE AGAIN!! Cannot find good things to say about this hotel. It was almost a nightmare. We had to change rooms hoping for cleaner but it wasn't. One disappointing event after the next. Will not recommend this place ever. If they don't care then neither do I.

I booked this hotel well in advance as it was hosting an event and I thought it would be easiest. I would have rather driven an hour instead! Let me inform you of my experience: My room was confirmed to be a king room. On arrival I had to settle for a twin queen room as there were no king rooms available. I was told that the card that I provided for a security would take 1 month to have the pre authorisation removed after I checked out. I had already paid for the room prior to leaving Austral... Our room was dirty- carpet was pulled up, dirty shower, wallpaper peeling, etc. The room also lacked a refrigerator. We faced the pool area. We were kept up all night by people yelling. When we checked in we weren't given any information except to put the paper in the car. We took the shuttle from downtown one afternoon. The driver didn't have enough seats for the 4 of us, so he put us in the cargo area.

I really wanted to like this hotel. I stayed 4 nights. The lobby is nice. The pool area outside is well kept and nicely landscaped. They have seating outside that is in a nicely landscaped area. The bar is large for a hotel & had nightly music while we were there. I ate in the hotel restaurant one time and the food was good. I used the fitness center, it was small, but served its purpose. I'm giving a poor review, because the things that I think are really important in a hotel were very poor. ... Read more

Came to Nashville on the last part of our honeymoon. The people that work here are very nice. The rooms were okay, kind of run down looking. No fan in the bathroom. Pealing paint in bathroom and bedroom. We bought the breakfast for the 3 days that we were staying, and it was decent! I would come here again because it's very close to restaurants and places we wanted to go.

After reading the reviews of this hotel we were a little nervous of staying there. Yes it is tired and needs a complete revamp. In our room the walls were knocked about, the main door was damaged at the bottom and the fittings in the bath had rust marks around them. However the room was large with two double beds, the bed linen was clean and the cleaning ladies very attentive to looking after you. The food in the breakfast restaurant was typically American and plentiful. The star of the hotel wa... Read more

My family stayed at the Maxwell House over Labor Day weekend. It is clear that the hotel has seen its better days. The pool and patio area was dirty. The room was a little worn, but clean. It does have a very good location, and there is a free shuttle service to down town. The worst thing is that when we got our credit card statement, we were charged for an extra night. I don't have this worked out yet. With just a little work, this could be a very nice facility, but it really looks like... Read more

This is an upscale hotel near downtown Nashville, they offer free parking, free shuttle service to airport and downtown(a big plus). Rates fluctuate based on holidays, weekends and special events. If you plan accordingly you can stay in an excellent hotel at a reasonable price. I have stayed here before and plan to return. Not sure if they offer free Wi-Fi.

Kind of agree with everyone else... hotel needs a face lift... kind of in the middle of no where. Staff was very nice... I just stayed one night on business and really didn't access any of the services, but there were several instances where things can be improved like the wifi (could not connect) and not being able to charge items purchased in the little gift shop to your room account... probably would stay somewhere else if I am ever back in Nashville

Booked this hotel on Priceline because it was about a third of the price for hotels actually in downtown Nashville. They do have a shuttle which worked out pretty well, but it ends at 10:30 at night which is not late in this town. We ended up using Uber often, and for only about $6 you can be picked up and taken either back to the hotel or downtown from the hotel. Lobby is very nice, but as with previous reviewers, this hotel has seen better days. Old fashioned and the rooms were kind of run... Read more

The hotel was probably nice at one time but is definitely lacking attention now. The room had many broken things like the shower rod, the door and the tv. When mentioned to the front desk ( other than fixing the tv quickly) they seem to not care. The bed was not made but just had the cover thrown over half way. The sheets were not changed for 5 days. Everyone on the free downtown shuttle had bad things to say about their stay. Even the Uber driver said everyone complained about the hote... Read more

Second time staying at this property. Clean and comfortable. Fairly well maintained, but could use some improvements/upgrades. A 2.5 star range hotel, not really 3.5 as some of the hotel booking sites rank it. Free shuttle into downtown was welcome (also to/from the airport). Free parking. Friendly staff.

Really, this Hotel should close and redecorate from stem to stern. It is very, very seedy starting with the Lobby. The food is institutional. There are no amenities. They do have a shuttle service to downtown Nashville, because they are so far out. It was fairly dependable. This Hotel was the Convention site for a convention I attended. I definitely would not stay there again.

I was in Nashville for a brief overnight business trip and needed to stay on the northside of town to travel into Clarksville. Titans game was in town on a Thursday night so all hotels downtown were booked. Thought I would give the Millennium Hotel a shot. It has all of the amenities of a hotel chain like a Marriott - restaurant, bar, gym, complimentary shuttle service to downtown and common areas were nice and clean. The rooms are dated, especially the bathtub and furniture but they have tri... Read more

Average hotel. Rooms were clean. The hotel is near downtown Nashville, but not in easy walking distance to most attractions. If you are looking for something exciting or unique I'd probably continue to look elsewhere. If you are looking for an affordable place to sleep near downtown this hotel is a decent option.

I surprised my hubby with a birthday getaway to Nashville and got a great deal off Priceline and was a little disappointed due to being a littler further out of the downtown area, but it wasn't a bad ride, ended up being maybe 5-10 minutes depending on traffic, it went fairly quickly though. The hotel offered a shuttle which was free but had a sign that was kind of worded rudely for tipping, could of went without seeing that, common sense..but plus side they do run a shuttle ever 30 minutes and ... The day we arrived we tried eat at hotel restaurant , smelled funny like old onions or something... waited 15 minutes could not even go to the bar and get a beer no one there .... so we went elsewhere ...$10 breakfast in the morning was pretty good. Have been at this place for two years when in town for meetings. Rita Lunsford is my server for breakfast almost every time. She remembers me, even if it has been months between visits. She is THE most cheery, personable and wonderful server to make the day start out great! Her million dollar smile is worth going there before my meeting begins. I even get a hug now and then - that is pretty special.

The room that was provided was a dingy room. It had a huge crack in the window and had dirty marks all over the bath. The room was very poor in quality. We have stayed here before and the room was much better. We stayed for 3 nights, 1 night the room had no toiletries and another night the room was not serviced at all. We attempted to make a complaint and the supervisor told us there was no manager on site. We accepted her word and asked for a contact email address. Ten minutes later the manager... Read more

The hotel was built in the 1970's when the original Maxwell House Hotel burned down in downtown Nashville. The replacement hotel was built farther away. It appears as if it has not been remodeled since then. (It is a little run down.) The sheets and towels are clean, and the staff are friendly, but it is shabby. Plenty of free parking and there is a shuttle to the downtown area. There is a restaurant on site, but it isn't particularly great. Breakfast was good though, and you have to tr... Read more

I was nervous about staying here based on the reviews. However, I was pleasantly surprised. Yes, it is an older property but it was spotlessly clean and the service was great throughout the hotel. It was expedient and friendly. The king bed was a little soft for me but the sheets and bedding were clean and crisp. I stayed on the 8th floor with a city view. I will definitely stay here again. For those that want uber luxurious , go ahead and stay downtown but be prepared to pay NYC prices.

Better than the previous reviews I read. The room was clean and spacious. There was only one chair but that's okay. Bathroom spotless and more than enough towels. After spending the previous night at the Embassy Suites in Franklin, we were expecting a really nice hotel. After all, the price was over a hundred dollars more per nite than the Embassy Suites. Yes the parking is free but the lot is huge. And the entire hotel's decor is stuck in the 70s. An adequate room but not worth the price. We will look elsewhere next time.
