We stayed at the Holiday Inn Express because it offers a free full buffet breakfast, free shuttle service (and they were everywhere with in 5 minutes!), free happy hour food and music, and they were very reasonably priced. They even have a pool! It was quiet, clean, and the staff was amazing. The front desk crew of Kyle F, Kelly, Emilie, and Vallerie were so helpful, accommodating, friendly and warm. We highly recommend this hotel if you are planning a trip to Nashville. No complaints here ... Read more

I checked in on a Sunday evening. I arrived at the hotel around 5:30pm and they were still cleaning the rooms on my floor. I noted a lot of little pieces of trash, etc on the carpeted hallway. When I checked out on THURSDAY morning, the hall carpet on the 7th floor had STILL not been vacuumed. I spilled some M&Ms on my floor one of the days, and they did not vacuum them up, nor did they throw away my used glasses and empty my ice bucket. We were impressed with this hotel. We had a king bed room, and it actually had king size pillows! Huge highlight! The bed was comfortable too. The breakfast in the morning was huge! Eggs, sausage, pancakes, cinnamon rolls, biscuits and gravy, then packaged oatmeal, cereal, yogurt, etc. They had complimentary bottles of water in the lobby. Very short walk to all the bars! Visited with friends on a last minute trip to Nashville. Literally booked the weekend before. Found the location of the hotel to be perfect! It was a nice walk right down to Broadway and all there is to see in downtown Nashville. The hotel and a nice lobby and fine continental breakfast. But it was a holiday inn express not much more to it. The staff was fine and the room was clean so no complaints just a chain hotel in a good location.

LOVED the service that I received at this hotel. It was my first trip to Nashville, the staff was excellent and very friendly. We got into town early and fortunately they had rooms available early. They also have a shuttle service to and from Broadway area and 2nd Avenue which was great since the weather was extremely hot. The shuttle drivers were fun and gave great tips as to where to go to eat and for entertainment; which is every where!

We booked this room during the CMA fest. I understand that demand drives up the price, but $400/night plus $25/night parking is just insane for his place!!! I expected better. The rooms were basic and not super clean. Free breakfast was horrible. The bed, however, was very comfortable and the staff was very pleasant. Also, good location close main strip on Broadway. Wouldn't recommend staying here. Spend the extra $100/night (I mean, why not at these prices!) and stay at a 4-star hotel.

Disappointing to say the least! One of the two beds in our room was very damp so we ended up in the other bed... fortunately there was two! I should have dealt with it there and then but waited until the morning when we checked out. Unfortunately a friend had settled up on our above. However I informed the receptionist of the damp bed and she apologised and advised she would put through a US$50 credit to the card that settled the account. This has not happened. The nightly social hour in the lobby is nice, with live music and food, and goes from 3 to 6 which give everyone plenty of time to go. The gym was clean and had updated equipment. I found that the location of the Holiday Inn Express in Nashville was an excellent location. It was an easy off of Highway US 70 when we arrived and easy on for our return trip. The HIE was only a short 10 minute leisurely walk to the Music City Center, our conference center, and if we did not feel like walking, free shuttle service was provided in a small minivan. I cannot believe anyone would pay the $195 rate for this sad little property, which now also presumes to add a $10 "facility fee" for a shuttle, shoe shine, and some kind of reception, none of which I used. And $25 for parking. I don't know the Nashville hotel market. Maybe that is reasonable pricing but I have to believe there are better less expensive hotels in the city. After reading many other reviewers?? comments on this property, I agree 100% with those that commented on the aged property and the desperate need of remodel. This is the mantra spoken from the hotel staff and quite frankly can't come quick enough (date unknown by front desk staff). The cost of the hotel is not worth the 40,000 points or $344 that the hotel is charging (published rate). The market might bear this rate but not for the age and quality of this property. The Hotel was in a great location and ten minutes walk to broadway. Although the walk back was up hill you could get a taxi cheaply, or a little diesel buggy for a couple of dollars. The Hotel had a great free breakfast and between 3.30pm and 5ish free snacks, soft drinks and live music. Free tea and coffee available in lobby day and night. The rooms were a good size and clean. The free shuttle bus was great however on occasions it seemed to take ages to turn up at the Hotel, tip as soon... Read more

This hotel has a great location easy walking down Broadway to many restaurants, concert venues and sports arena's. The room on the other hand is very outdated, the beds were the worst I've ever slept on at a hotel. They had an appetizer and drinks in the afternoon with some live music playing which was very good. Overall it was to expensive for the room definitely would not pay what I did to stay at this hotel again.

This hotel, like all hotels in downtown NASHVILLE is expensive but if location is important then this is a great hotel. The staff was excellent. Particularly noteworthy was VALERI at the front desk who was just so charming and helpful even in the early morning when most of us were hardly awake. She went above and beyond during our stay. This is an older hotel. The rooms are a bit worn and the AC can be loud but it was ok. the Breakfast was fine. They had coffee 24/7 which is a plus for me... Read more

Recently spent a night here while in Nashville and we were pleasantly surprised by the location. It was walking distance to all the music on Broadway, to Nissan Stadium, and to lots of other local attractions. Never felt unsafe walking to and from the hotel. Front desk staff were exceptionally awesome. There was live music and snacks in the lobby area in the late afternoon. Room was very clean with all the necessary amenities. Perfect location!

The people (especially, Valerie) at the front desk was amazing. So helpful, fun, courteous. The free shuttle (especially, Thurgood) was so wonderful for us and available at all times. We would recommend this hotel to all our friends, and family. We intend to visit Nashville again and would certainly stay here. The breakfast was amazing and the afternoon snacks were a welcome surprise. Also, felt very safe and welcome. The staff was truly amazing!

Great reception Friendly service at the beginning! The rooms and the hotel floors could be cleaner. Front desk, breakfast nice, even the breakfast place could be open till 10.00am, we are on vacation. Here is the bummer: left an item I room and tried to get in contact with room service from back home, impossible not call backs and really no communication between lobby and room service. Very sad

We actually relocated from a nearby 5-Star hotel to the Holiday Inn Express due to a series of bad experiences. When we arrived to check out the facility, we were greeted by the absolute sweetest front desk clerk I have ever encountered. Valeri went above and beyond to ensure our vacation could be salvaged. Josh, the manager, was extremely pleasant and accomodating. Complimentary breakfast and afternoon happy hour were a definite plus as was the free shuttle service. Will definitely stay wi... Read more

We recently stayed here for a couple of nights and had almost a perfect stay at this hotel. It's important to remember the brand for this hotel, which is a Holiday Inn Express. I believe there's a certain expectation that should be adhered to when staying at this brand. That being said, this is probably one of the best Holiday Inn Express' I have ever stayed at. I visited Nashville on business, just a one night stay. The location is great, with easy access to 40. Parking is ample, with lots under the hotel as well as outside, but you will pay for parking. The hallways were kind of narrow, and not so nice looking. This did not really impact my stay at all. My room was on the 4th floor, overlooking a parking lot and a church. The hotel shuttle service was also a plus if you did not want to walk all the way downtown, all you had to do was text and they would come pick you up downtown. They even had a shoe shiner in the lobby, live music in the afternoon, and happy hour snacks. Overall breakfast was very good with many options to choose from.
