Hampton Inn Nashville/Vanderbilt Hotel is located near Vanderbilt University and many eateries that have fusion sushi and other excellent eateries. The hotel is a typical Hampton Inn room size and free wifi. This hotel is near downtown and does have free shuttle services to drive you there and pick you up there at no charge.

Thanks Ray for your help and professional attention to our needs while at the Hampton. Also a shout out to R. Pillow ( great name for a hotel employee! ) AKA: Richard. Though the manager saw fit to never respond to my fax and email transmissions to him prior to coming, I found the rest of the staff; all of them; to be quite friendly and accommodating every day of our stay. The room was quite nice and comfortable. Any needs were there or available just for the asking. Five minute drive to downtow... Read more

We spent a long weekend in Nashville enjoying the local music scene, restaurants and touring attractions. The hotel is about two miles from the downtown area but provided a free shuttle service 7 am to 11 pm, except on Sunday's. The hotel is located near the music row district and walking distance to good restaurants. A little less pricey than the downtown hotels but still very accessible. Great staff and clean room.

Room was clean, staff very helpful. Breakfast staff were the nicest ladies we had ever met!!! Only problem we had was with the tv. Since the weather looked stormy, and we wanted to go site seeing, tried to watch some local news. The tv kept cutting out. Staff told us that they knew that there was a problem with it and we're waiting on a part for it to be fixed. We had to go onto the internet to get local weather update.

Having stayed at other hotels in this immediate area I was looking for reasonable costs; one nearby place charges $30/day just for self-park! Typical Hampton Inn. Nice thick walls, never heard any noise in my week here. Everything worked and was clean. Decent free breakfast in downstairs room rather than lobby. Parking spaces are pretty narrow. If you park in the lower part of the lot there is an entrance there too.

We were undecided where we would stay, downtown prices are very high and after talking to the hotel and getting personal information and they were very helpful, especially Ray at front desk we decided to stay. Very convenient to restaurants, loved The Row within walking distance. Also has a very friendly shuttle back and forth to downtown, a 2 mile radius, don't have to battle the traffic or pay high prices to park, it stops at 11:00pm. N... Read more

Although the hotel is a mile or so out of the downtown area, it's an easy, although not particularly interesting, walk. However, the free shuttle bus with very helpful driver operates through the day and early evening, and we found this most convenient. The hotel staff are friendly and helpful and the rooms exactly what you'd expect from this class of accommodation: clean and functional. Breakfast is basic but adequate and the breakfast staff are great. There are plenty of eating and music estab... Read more

This hotel is a decent enough place to stay if you have alot of money to burn. My friends and I stayed for 3 nights and with just the normal nightly rate paid just over $1,000. It makes it kind of hard to enjoy the city with that much wrapped up in an average room that sells for barley over $100 a night in a separate location. Everything worked but nothing stood out to make the price acceptable. Also I noted there was a tax for an events center that I never used or attended. I assume this i... Read more

Highly recommend this hotel for Nashville Visitors! It is far enough away from the noisy fun of downtown yet close enough to get to via taxi etc late at night. The hotel offers a free shuttle to and from downtown Nashville which is really handy! The room we had was super clean, roomy and a comfy bed! The aircon was a little noisy as it cut in during the night but other than that, I highly recommend this hotel and would stay here again should we visit Nashville in the future! We often choose Hampton when we travel. Sorry that we chose this one in Nashville. The tiny room had one small skinny window which shed very little light in our very brown and dark red room. (Why someone would choose such dark colors for such a small poorly lit room, I'll never know.) our room had view of the parking lot through our tiny window. The hallways were narrow and drab and felt worn. The reception area small and equally bland. The walls were paper thin, or so it seemed when the f... Read more

As always, anywhere close to downtown Nashville is crazy expensive, but, the Hampton Inn was much more reasonable. It's a very clean, nice hotel. We went for a girls' weekend and shared a double room with 4 girls. We never really felt cramped although I wouldn't say it was a very large room. It's very modern and the housekeeping staff was very good to us. They also have a nice breakfast area on the ground floor. HOtels in Nashville seem to be getting more and more expensive. At least this one had an Extremely Pleasant and helpful hotel staff. There is a very nice and cozy area to relax in adjacent to the lobby entrance, with a small atrium and a nicely equipped business center. There also is a nice outdoor pool. Although there is NO in-house restaurant, all you need is within walking distance. The room was equipped nicely, really liked the built in wall desk area, but no safe. Shuttle service is a HUGE ... We had a comfortable stay with a few glitches. Easy to get to with good parking and lots of good restaurants around. It is about a 30 minute walk to downtown. There is a shuttle that is in the lot about every 20 minutes and takes you to anywhere in a 2 mile zone. Like every hotel there are better and worse rooms. I don't know how you guarantee a better one. In our first room the A/C went into heat mode in the middle of the night and the window shade let in a bit of light at night. We were re-as... Read more

The beds were some of the most comfortable I have slept in, the parking was free, and the rooms were stylish and clean. The hotel was quiet and conveniently located near a bus stop that will take you straight downtown. This was a great choice. I was in Nashville on business and chose this hotel because of its proximity to the conference center. I really enjoyed breakfast each morning. The food was typical hotel breakfast food but the staff and service and cleanliness of the breakfast room were way above average. The free shuttle downtown and free parking on site make it the perfect place to stay.

This property is located in a great location, close to everything but still offers parking included in the price. Rates are high in Nashville but many centrally located hotels charge for parking. The staff were attentive, the room clean and well appointed, the breakfast was very good and well presented. They have a free shuttle to anything with in 2 miles of the hotel which gives you access to Music Row. Unfortunately we could only stay one day!

Nothing from the manager, just the maintenance guy helped. I had to ask him to be move to another room as he preferred to try to figure out why the power was out. I think this is an old hotel that desperately needs upgrades. For the price, there are far better choices in nashville.
