The room was fine. We were staying to go to the Opry. The hotel has a shuttle which was great. When we got to the hotel after the show, there was only ONE option to get a snack. While the hotel has numerous restaurants, only a small concession with pizza and pre-wrapped food was available.

We were here in early May for a festival being held at the Resort. Although it's a huge resort and convention center, the restaurants were not always open. I'm not meaning open all night - I mean open at dinner time! We tried 3 times between Friday and Sunday to eat at the Mexican Restaurant and it was never opened. A lot of people we were with felt the same - if the restaurant is in the resort, it should be open for business. Having said that, the room was lovely although we couldn't get ou... Read more

This is an amazing place to stay! So big, it will take you several days to find your way around. The gardens are beautiful. Waterfalls that you can walk behind or sit next to and enjoy a drink or meal. Many restaurants to choose from, but on the expensive side even for just a sandwich or hamburger. Nice variety of stores but again on the expensive side. ($29 for an umbrella) 3 swimming pools to enjoy and a boat tour down a river in the hotel complex. The conference center is HUGE! Even ... Absolutely beautiful hotel/resort with many food/drink/snack choices on the premises. Everything from upscale steakhouse and Italian dining to sushi, build your burger and frozen yogurt, as well as many others including sports bars. Golf course only 5 minutes away. Shuttle service to local mall, downtown and airport. My wife and I really enjoyed our stay in a room with balcony overlooking the indoor atrium.

Second time in this hotel. Love it! Very, very pretty tropical setting inside the expansive domes. My kids love to explore all of the different paths through the foliage. Rooms clean and pretty. Lots of snack shops/convenience shops that the kids like for giant cookies, ice cream, Goldfish. Pools are nice but you would think they would have more pools based on the size of this hotel? We stayed here for a professional convention which is well accommodated in this large hotel. You will get your exercise in walking through from convention center to room to restaurants. A tour of the hotel did not offer much more than an advertisement for the restaurants. If you stop on the paths and read the information about various foliage, you have the best of the hotel tour. The nearby shopping mall and outside restaurants give you an alternative to staying inside for all your meals and... Read more

First off, if your intent is to experience the vibe of Nashville, don't consider this hotel. It is a long ride to downtown and you'll wear out Uber (my choice) or a taxi getting there. I wouldn't recommend driving downtown due to parking issues. There are some great hotels right downtown that allow you to walk out and enjoy the bars immediately. If, however, you are a huge fan of the Grand Ole Opry it is only a short walk and, if at a conference, it is hard to argue about the facilities. I ... Read more

Family from all over the country met in Nashville and we stayed at the Gaylord Opryland. Hotel is absolutely beautiful and clean. The inside is worth the visit, even if you aren't staying here. Rooms were okay. We were upgraded to an inside room overlooking the atrium, which was very nice. Otherwise, I really don't think it would have been worth the money for the room itself. My mother and I stayed in the Delta wing of the resort. The atriums are magnificent. Waterfalls and trees make you feel like you are outside. Everything in the atriums were decorated with plants and little ponds to immerse you in the beauty of nature. I was expecting the decor of the rooms to align to a theme or have a certain luxury feel to it. The rooms were standard (think Hampton Inn/Holiday Inn Express). The beds were comfy, the room was also maintained, and hospitality was 2nd to nun. We went to Nashville for the big fireworks show that have on 4th of July. The only draw back to this hotel is that it's about 20 minutes from Downtown Nashville. The only downside is the price of the food in t... Read more

I read lots of negative reviews about parking and resort fee so I was a little hesitant to try- we stayed at Gaylord Texan so we knew a little bit about fees We stayed here three days and two nights- *$219 four people - It is expensive (we had average room but ours did include boat tour and scavenger hunt) *Paid $18 resort fee *Paid $24 daily self park (in and out privileges) Restaurants were always packed and expensive so we rode the free shuttle to Opryland Mall to eat lunch at Chuy's an... We arrived in Nashville on June 15th (Wed) and after a long drive we decided to treat ourselves to a lovely experience by going to the Gaylord Resort for dinner. We selected this only because of the surroundings, and we wanted an opportunity to have a nice dinner and the little kids would enjoy it. Arrive around 7:00pm to find out the majority of the restaurants were closed, we dined at the Cascades restaurant thinking the surroundings would be enjoyable. The service was just 'okay' and the ... Great resort, very clean. Staff was very friendly. You can go there and never leave the resort. Close by to a large mall and the grand ole opry, Great restaurants and some great bars. The gardens were unreal.

The room we had overlooked the atrium, waterfalls, restaurants and walk ways. It was a long walk to our room. We're happy there was wheels on the suitcases. This place is huge! We didn't get to see all of it. Parking was $24.Resort fee was $18. It was a once in a lifetime so we did it up. Lots to see and do here. Breakfast wasn't too good at all. It was an $18. dollar omelet and it went to waste. However we did enjoy our stay here. The room was very clean, and the staff made it up fresh every da... Read more

Met some friends for a quick weekend getaway. Never have stayed there before but am definitely going back. Rooms were nice and the bed and pillows were great. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was very relaxing and enjoyable. At check in we had to wait about 10 minutes . If you enjoy looking at flowers and plants and hearing waterfalls where ever you walk then this is the place to stay.

I arrived to a very bitter racist staff against US BEING interracial lesbian couples. my friends were also the same interracial gay couple needing another room. It took so long getting into our room not enough employees tonight she mumbled. I'm sure they just had a issue with me and my other friend being African american. we needed help getting around an the staff that was on duty acted as if they were elementary kids looking for classes in a new school, they were no help what so ever!! On Friday, July 22 I stayed at the Gaylord Opryland Resort in Nashville. First, I will say that the resort is beautiful and despite a few problems, we did enjoy our stay. I am a local of the area and very familiar with the hotel; however, there were a few things that I did not feel lived up to the standards of the hotel prior to it being managed by Marriott. Checking in - we checked in at 4:00. Now, with this being the official check-in time the likelihood of it being very busy is understandabl... Read more

Visited here for a coffee on way to airport, absolutely loved it - wished we'd stayed here instead of downtown. And I left my sunglasses at cafe, realised as I was leaving but couldn't find them and went to Lost and Found, when I got home to the UK they had been FedExed here and beat me home. Couldn't believe it, exactly the sort of service that seemed to be typical of the place. Hope to return.

My husband and I stayed here recently and were impressed with how spacious and wonderful it is. There is so much to see. Lots of waterfalls to listen to outside our room. I would definitely get an atrium view. It was nice to sit outside on our balcony and just watch the people. Lots of restaurants and bars to visit. Seemed like lots of things for children, even though we didn't have any in our group.

It is beautiful there, but there are problems. Floor above our room was under construction, so all you could hear during the day was drills and jack hammers. They could have at least let us know there was construction. You could not stay in room for the noise. You could feel the vibration. My guest had to leave the room because of the noise. They could have compensated for the inconvenience, but was not concerned about how we felt. Find out about fees and additional fees. Parking is charged... Read more

We had a convention here with about 6000 people. The resort was absolutely gorgeous and was a great location with the mall being in walking distance (we often walked there for meals). The gardens were gorgeous and it was cool to be able to walk around and see everything during breaks. The convention center wasn't really large enough for our group, but we made it work. They had water coolers and coffee stations set up so we could get refreshments and they opened up an extra concession area ju... Read more

We stayed here last week for a mini vacation to Nashville. We really enjoy this hotel, so here is my review.... yes it is a large property, so lots of walking but it is BEAUTIFUL so its actually a nice relaxing walk to see all the areas of the hotel and there are benches throughout for you to stop and take a break. There are plenty of lovely, peaceful water falls and its all indoors. It makes you feel like you are outdoors with the lush gardens all around. Its the same temp all through the commo... Read more

I came to the resort for a conference. The resort is beautiful and large. I was only here for 2 nights but I enjoyed it and would come back. I stayed in the Delta (red) section. The atriums are beautiful no need to leave the resort but if you do nearby is a movie theater, mall and of course the Grand Ole Opry - see a show!
