We have just returned from our stay of 4 nights at the Madison. Loved the decor...great beds..clean and comfortable. The staff were all very polite and helpful. Location was good..we walked pretty much everywhere. We ate breakfast and dinner in-house once...food was satisfactory but not brilliant. We had drinks up on the roof top bar..which has stunning views and was comfortable..if a little breezy. All in all we enjoyed our stay at the Madison.

This is the best hotel in Memphis. First up is the staff - extremely friendly and helpful, they pay attention to needs and try and meet those before you ask. Ms. Eva, who works in room service in the mornings was simply the friendliest and most helpful hotel staffer I have every encountered anywhere. I truly looked forward to her knock on the door in the morning for a chance to have a little friendly chat with Ms. Eva. Everyone at the bell stand and valet was also super helpful. We had a great time in Memphis. The hotel was in a perfect location. A friendly, helpful staff made the stay enjoyable. There was a beautiful view from the rooftop with music and a wide range of beverages. Access to the nightlife on Beale Street was an easy walk.

The Peabody gets a lot more attention but I like the Madison better. Watch the ducks there but stay here. We had a 1 bedroom suite on the 9th floor. A B.B. King song was playing on the public address system as we arrived so I liked the place already. Great water pressure in the shower, comfy king bed, and very quiet at night. Excellent breakfast in the small restaurant . Walking distance to Beale Street, all the top restaurants(try Flight), Fed Ex Forum, minor league baseball, Rock and Soul Muse... Read more

The hospitality that my friends and I received was short of amazing! We had a bad experience at another hotel and we came here. We were greeted and welcomed with such grace from Ida, Phyllis, Ms. Madeline, and Carlos. Thanks you all were a blessing!!

We spent the night at this boutique hotel downtown Memphis. We loved the contemporary style. Our room was on a high floor and quiet corner. The room was luxurious with an incredibly comfortable bed and the best pillows I've slept on in a long time. Great proximity to walk to bars/restaurants/sights. Used Uber to venture further. Rooftop bar was hopping as graduation weekend. Highly recommend this hotel.

Stayed here 1 night on a short trip to Memphis. Staff and service was great. Loved the rooftop bar! Excellent views up there of the Mississippi River. Would consider this hotel again for sure. Short walk to Beale street! Rooms are a little small but for 2 people it was fine. Key words: clean, safe, friendly, affordable, location, and fun atmosphere.

One of the most gorgeous hotels I have seen. The rooms were amazing, spacious, and comfortable. The roof top bar and view was outstanding. The decor was gorgeous. Couldnt ask for more! Spectacular! Room had an excellent charging dock/sound system. Kuerig coffee maker. Fully stocked bar with choice of red or white wines. In room (for purchase) snacks were available.

My wife and I had 2 wonderful nights at The Madison as part of our Deep South US Tour. The welcome from the check in on arrival was great offering us some great choices of local restaurants. Within walking distance of Beale Street and attractions. Room was great with spacious bathroom and very quiet at night. Rooftop bar offers fabulous views of Memphis. Great stay only wish we could have stayed a bit longer

Stayed at the Madison for three nights in April/May over Beale Street music festival weekend. Mainly booked for the location initially as just a 10 minute walk to Tom Lee park for the festival. Loved the hotel, very funky, and the staff very amazing. We'd booked through Venere and it was clear on arrival that Venere had not sent payment through to the hotel, but they told us not to worry, gave us the key and said they'd sort, which they did. Every member of staff we met was courteous - special t... Read more

I'll start by saying I presume the price of the rooms is for the convenience of being downtown. Memphis is an interesting city. I've been many times and love it, but a thriving metropolis it is not. I was looking forward to staying at this hotel which was boutique rather than the chains we have stayed at previously. It was a bit pricier than others, but we splurged. The lobby is very nice. The elevators were extremely slow with no A/C which made you feel overheated after a long elevator ride to ... Read more

Recently stayed for three nights and we were very impressed with the friendly staff. Whether we saw someone on the elevator or just passing in the hall they would always say hello and check on how we were enjoying our stay. Room was clean and attractive with a location close to everything in downtown Memphis. A minor issue with the final bill was quickly remedied by the front desk staff. We would definitely stay here again!

Desk staff were very friendly and helpful - above average for sure. The adjoining bar/restaurant was reasonably priced with excellent service and again above average food for breakfast. The outdoor, rooftop bar was a treat for a late evening drink when temp had dropped a bit. Room was comfortable and well outfitted. Wifi was exceptionally good.

If you are going to Memphis, check out the Madison Hotel. Historic and upscale, they offer lots of amenities. Close enough to Beale street to walk to and far enough away to be quiet. Check out the Twilight bar - an awesome view of the Mississippi River and bridges.

The hotel is in a lovely situation, the rooms are comfortable and most staff seem friendly. The problem we had was that we asked the reception to book us a taxi, large enough for 4 adults plus 3 large suitcases and 4 hand luggage for early morning in order to get to the bus depot to get our greyhound bus to Nashville. They said we needed to ask the concierge by the front door. We did this, they said they would book the taxi. When we returned back after our evening meal out, they confirmed th... Read more

Best hotel I've stayed in. Staff was very polite and upgraded our room because it took a few minutes for her to get to us. We stayed in a One Bedroom King Suite and it was absolutely fabulous. Its only an 8-10 minute walk to Beale Street. There is no parking but they do have valet for $29/night. I would recommend anyone to stay here.

My experience at the Madison was top-notch, from valet parking to checkout. The entire staff was friendly and helpful, greeted me every time they saw me, made me feel welcome. The room was well-appointed, roomy, and decorated nicely. I had a great stay! Ms. Eva brought my room-service breakfast every day. She was friendly and made my stay more enjoyable! I was happy to see her every morning.

We booked this hotel because of it's gorgeous views of the Mississippi River for the 4th of July on the top deck. We got there early, kept our front and center seats for hours buying the expensive drinks. It was going to be perfect. We drove from C0, bought 2 rooms for the occasion. Right before fireworks my 15 year old son came to take his seat and...they refused to let him on the deck. They said 21 and over only because it is a bar, even though he sat with us at the same "bar" the night before... Read more

This hotel was nice. The reason for only three stars was minor issues. Only one tiny trash can in the room, only three tiny drawers so had to live out of our suitcase and one day we never got housekeeping (we did get turn down service but they did not replenish our toilet paper or coffee). Finally you can hear everything from the hallway, slamming doors and a worker who knocked on a neighbors door at 1am screaming room service. However, The people who work there are so friendly - every single o... Read more

This is a very nice hotel with a great and friendly staff - we stayed with our family of 4 for 3 nights. I was always impressed with the smiles and helpfulness of everyone. While there are hotels closer to Beale street, if you like to walk a little, it is only 8-10 minutes and if you don't want to walk the trolley will take you for $1 each way. My only two issues was a very loud floor on a Friday night. We did complain and it quieted down quickly. I don't think this is the hotels fault. I ... Read more

We really enjoyed our two night stay at the Madison. Our room was spacious, nicely appointed, comfortable and quiet. We chose the Madison over the Peabody mostly because it was a smaller more intimate boutique hotel, and a better price. The rooftop terrace is a nice evening retreat from a full day, with a great view. There is also a nice small casual bar next to the lobby. Service is very friendly and responsive. There is a full service restaurant, which makes for good room service options. The ... Read more

We loved this hotel! we stayed in Atlanta, Nashville, Jackson, New Orleans, but our absolute favourite was the Madison. Although our visit didn't start off to well, having just driven from Nashville I was having a nap on arrival, when a couple or possibly an army started having a war in the adjoining room, I don't mean shouting I mean throwing and screaming. Reception listened, and without me saying a word put us in a suite. The rest of the hotel was normally quiet and peaceful .From the lobby w... Read more

Stayed here for just one night. The main reason why I chose this place was the rooftop bar and sunset view! The actual room was very small, but clean! The valet parking was quite expensive. The rooftop bar was really great and watching the sunset over the Mississippi was a really special moment, the view was spectacular. The location was idea for a short stay in memphis.

Booked a deluxe king room on the 11th floor for a long weekend. Room decorated tactfully and was quite spacious. Wet bar with keurig...small fridge and in room snacks and drinks for purchase.
