We have just returned from our stay of 4 nights at the Madison. Loved the decor...great beds..clean and comfortable. The staff were all very polite and helpful. Location was good..we walked pretty much everywhere. We ate breakfast and dinner in-house once...food was satisfactory but not brilliant. We had drinks up on the roof top bar..which has stunning views and was comfortable..if a little breezy. All in all we enjoyed our stay at the Madison.

This is the best hotel in Memphis. First up is the staff - extremely friendly and helpful, they pay attention to needs and try and meet those before you ask. Ms. Eva, who works in room service in the mornings was simply the friendliest and most helpful hotel staffer I have every encountered anywhere. I truly looked forward to her knock on the door in the morning for a chance to have a little friendly chat with Ms. Eva. Everyone at the bell stand and valet was also super helpful. The Peabody gets a lot more attention but I like the Madison better. Watch the ducks there but stay here. We had a 1 bedroom suite on the 9th floor. A B.B. King song was playing on the public address system as we arrived so I liked the place already. Great water pressure in the shower, comfy king bed, and very quiet at night. Excellent breakfast in the small restaurant . Walking distance to Beale Street, all the top restaurants(try Flight), Fed Ex Forum, minor league baseball, Rock and Soul Muse... Read more

We spent the night at this boutique hotel downtown Memphis. We loved the contemporary style. Our room was on a high floor and quiet corner. The room was luxurious with an incredibly comfortable bed and the best pillows I've slept on in a long time. Great proximity to walk to bars/restaurants/sights. Used Uber to venture further. Rooftop bar was hopping as graduation weekend. Highly recommend this hotel.

Stayed here 1 night on a short trip to Memphis. Staff and service was great. Loved the rooftop bar! Excellent views up there of the Mississippi River. Would consider this hotel again for sure. Short walk to Beale street! Rooms are a little small but for 2 people it was fine. Key words: clean, safe, friendly, affordable, location, and fun atmosphere.

One of the most gorgeous hotels I have seen. The rooms were amazing, spacious, and comfortable. The roof top bar and view was outstanding. The decor was gorgeous. Couldnt ask for more! Spectacular! Room had an excellent charging dock/sound system. Kuerig coffee maker. Fully stocked bar with choice of red or white wines. In room (for purchase) snacks were available.

Stayed at the Madison for three nights in April/May over Beale Street music festival weekend. Mainly booked for the location initially as just a 10 minute walk to Tom Lee park for the festival. Loved the hotel, very funky, and the staff very amazing. We'd booked through Venere and it was clear on arrival that Venere had not sent payment through to the hotel, but they told us not to worry, gave us the key and said they'd sort, which they did. I'll start by saying I presume the price of the rooms is for the convenience of being downtown. Memphis is an interesting city. I've been many times and love it, but a thriving metropolis it is not. I was looking forward to staying at this hotel which was boutique rather than the chains we have stayed at previously. It was a bit pricier than others, but we splurged. The lobby is very nice. The elevators were extremely slow with no A/C which made you feel overheated after a long elevator ride to ... Read more

Recently stayed for three nights and we were very impressed with the friendly staff. Whether we saw someone on the elevator or just passing in the hall they would always say hello and check on how we were enjoying our stay. Room was clean and attractive with a location close to everything in downtown Memphis. A minor issue with the final bill was quickly remedied by the front desk staff. We would definitely stay here again!

The hotel is in a lovely situation, the rooms are comfortable and most staff seem friendly. The problem we had was that we asked the reception to book us a taxi, large enough for 4 adults plus 3 large suitcases and 4 hand luggage for early morning in order to get to the bus depot to get our greyhound bus to Nashville. They said we needed to ask the concierge by the front door. We did this, they said they would book the taxi. When we returned back after our evening meal out, they confirmed th... Read more

We booked this hotel because of it's gorgeous views of the Mississippi River for the 4th of July on the top deck. We got there early, kept our front and center seats for hours buying the expensive drinks. It was going to be perfect. We drove from C0, bought 2 rooms for the occasion. Right before fireworks my 15 year old son came to take his seat and...they refused to let him on the deck. While there are hotels closer to Beale street, if you like to walk a little, it is only 8-10 minutes and if you don't want to walk the trolley will take you for $1 each way. I was greeted by Sol, who took care of getting me into valet parking, unloading my car, making sure I had everything I needed before personally taking me and my luggage to my room. His service and his attitude were so outstanding that when I went to meet some relatives for pizza, I asked him if I could bring some back for him. He said that wasn't necessary but when I... We had stayed at the Madison Hotel for 2 nights and it was mostly a very pleasant experience. Reception and check-in was quick. Room was very spacious and quiet. We had 2 free water bottles the first day but not the subsequent days. The bathroom is big and had good amenities. Only complaint is that the toilet paper holder is so far from the toilet bowl. So much so that I had to bend over backwards and to my right just to reach it. Don't know why it had to be placed there when there was a ... Read more

We debated whether to stay at the venerable Peabody, or the Madison - and ultimately chose the Madison for its better pricing and convenience. The staff at the Madison was very friendly throughout our stay. We really enjoyed the food in the hotel restaurant - we had breakfast there all three days and chose from items like the Elvis Waffle (peanut butter sauce and bacon), the Loaded Grits, and Pulled Pork hash and eggs. We were a little apprehensive about our visit, but were pleasantly surprised. The Madison is in a great location near the river and attractions including some fine restaurants within an easy and safe walking distance. Our room was luxurious with a partial river view. The rooftop bar is spectacular.Phyllis at the front desk was gracious and very helpful. Reasonable price for what we got. We recommend The Madison.

Room was well sized, clean, with pretty modern furnishings. Staff at reception were friendly, wifi was solid and check in was reasonably prompt. Having said that, my experience was not consistent with what the average 4.5 stars given to this hotel might suggest. Some examples of mediocre service: - It took over 30 minutes and 3 phone calls to have my bags brought up to my room despite asking that it be brought up promptly. Nice friendly check but it was a shame that although we were about 90 mins after check in time we were told our room was not ready. That was sorted out but not a great start. Great roof top bar and although expensive gave a good end to your day. we did however find the system of having to wear wrist bands a little bit 3 star all inclusive resort. there must be a better system to monitor eligibility ect. All staff helpful and friendly and over all a nice stay in a fantastic area.

This is a first class hotel. Friendly welcoming staff upon check in and check out. Beatiful contemporary designed rooms. I stayed in junior suite which was perfect size. Free keurig coffee and bottled water. The only negatives are there is only 2 elevators which means long waits during peak hours. The hotel restaurant is very slow, almost a hour to get food after it was ordered. Once the food came, it was delicious. This hotel is in great downtown location, would stay again and recommend.

The hotel is lovely with it's own delicious restaurant and roof top bar. It's well appointed and centrally located, within a short walk ( around 4 blocks) of many sites. Also, on the corner, there is a bus for $1. The staff was efficient and very helpful and friendly and cheerful. My only complaint is a lack of adequate counter space in the bathroom. Graceland was wonderful as was the Civil Rights museum in the Lorraine Motel. Don't miss either of these two sites.

We were very pleased that we chose The Madison. It was a short walk from most everything we wanted to see in Memphis and close to the trolley stops for things farther away. The staff was welcoming and accommodating. Our room/suite was more than adequate, and the bathroom was spacious with nice amenities. We would definitely return if in Memphis again. Be aware that valet parking is pricey...$29 a day, but that is the case in most cities, but at least it was prompt.
