Homewood Suites was very comfortable, clean, and quiet. It's nestled right next to a terrific restaurant, River Oaks, that we walked to for dinner. The location is a bit confusing. It's right off the interstate on Poplar in an "island" of buildings and you have to circle the block to enter the complex. But it was spacious, with a living room, kitchen, and bedroom. Lots of closet space and a fully functioning kitchen!

After reading some of the reviews, some good and some bad. I was a little skeptical. But glad we decided to stay here. The rooms were nice and clean. Breakfast was appealing. The only difficulty was getting to the hotel from the interstate. It's in a prime location, a lot of restaurants and stores nearby, everything is about 20 to 30 mins away. There was security patrolling nightly. I would stay here again when I visit Memphis. The kitchen was perfect, we didn't cook anything but it had a sto... Read more

The price was great, it is a Hilton all in all so you know it was nice. Love how it had a living room with French doors to the bedroom and a large two room bathroom. Very nice and planning on another trip soon

Homewood Suites on Poplar Avenue in Memphis, TN felt better than being at home. The service was outstanding. the meals were delicious, the in suite dish washer is an excellent idea and the water was good and hot. The only extra amenity I might suggest would be a small washer/dryer. We had a two bedroom suite and there were three big screen TVs.

Start off positive. Very helpful and courteous staff. #1. Be sure you call the actual hotel front desk and not central reservations if you need to change a reservation. #2. There are numerous buildings. If you have a party that requires two or more rooms, you may not be staying anywhere close to each other. #3. Location is quirky but very convenient. #4. Breakfast is average at best. Details for those who wish to read further: There was a mix up in our online reservation. We had booked ... Read more

The staff were very friendly and helpful, the rooms looked better than the on-line picture and were very clean, the breakfast was excellent and the location was perfect, midway between the family members that we were visiting with easy exit on the highway. We enjoyed our stay and would stay there again.

This is a very nice hotel, and I would recommend it to anyone with a family that would like the feeling of home away from home. The kids can enjoy themselves while you retreat to the Master Bedroom and relax. There is a pool and basketball court for the kids. So a little something for everyone.

There was a leak in the room and the flooring was wet. The staff were quick to try and get it cleaned up. They refunded our charges with questions at check out and were very apologetic for the problem. Nice clean room other than the wet floor. Great outdoor pool area.

Great stay in Homewood Suites. Breakfast and dinner had some great options. Staff was very welcoming. The person who drove the hotel suttle was great. The suite was big and very clean. The area was accomodating as I could walk to target and few other stores.

Spacious suites, comfortable accommodations and attentive service. while this hotel is not in downtown it's convenient enough for easy access. There's plenty of restaurants a short walk/shuttle drive away. The hotel reminded me of a little resort in an island with the main lobby being in one building and the guestrooms in a couple of adjacent buildings surrounding the common area the pool. Great breakfast buffet daily and a nice little evening reception.

I was in town with my daughter at Rhodes College. It's a 15 minute drive to Rhodes but light traffic on the weekend. They were busy but all of the staff handled it well and truly worked as a team. I overheard the assistant GM on the phone and she had endless patience dealing with an older customer. My room was clean. Bugs everywhere. Cable TV went out on night 6 of 18 night stay and hotel staff couldn't get cable company out to fix & acted as if they didn't care. Breakfast & social option horrible. Shouldn't say dinner included with appetizers as only options most nights.

Most Homewood Suites are safe bets - this one is not. Although not the worst hotel, it is not up to par for the brand name. It is worth the 5 min extra drive to find a better stay. It is an older property so there were several items on site that were not in working order. Entrance/Exit is also difficult as it is located directly on a busy drive very close to highway on/off ramps.

It pretty standard for the brand - would like a 'green card' by the bed, so I could choose to have my sheets changed. Also, I would like to have a DND/Makeup room sign for the door. Due to the layout of the rooms, you may not know if the maid is servicing your room, because she can't get the cart next to the room, and they don't have a 'service in progress' sign - I really scared her when I came in.....

After a long day of driving, we stayed at this hotel. The bedroom space is far too small. We could barely move around one another. The location was so-so. Not too far from Central BBQ, which is some of the best BBQ around! But, I really feel the hotel was hard to get to. It was just an odd way to enter the property. The breakfast was outstanding. Can't say enough about that. If you're looking for a decent place to stay it's OK. I just thought it was really expensive for the space.

My family and I enjoyed this hotel. It was clean and spacious. However, I felt like a race car driver any time we left. I'm not picky about this but this room, 160, reeked of mold from the HVAC. I know it's August in the south but the bathrooms do not have exhaust fans and the filters need changing or they need dehumidifiers or something. It's pretty bad. We only stayed one night. The rooms look renovated so it's unfortunate. The tubs and showers are plastic and very shallow. Breakfast was not good but is the normal fake eggs and sausage and waffles you see at all the other discount places.

A classic homewood Suites experience with suite rooms, diverse breakfast and hospitality hour and a very attentive staff. I had to rate it only average because of poorly working internet and TV and the fact that the price almost doubled from 1 week to the next without an apparent reason. If I didn't need a separate living room area I would have stayed elsewhere.

We were awakened in the middle of the night (around 2 am) with laughing & hollering outside our bedroom window. We had a room on the exterior and I'm sure the security didn't see them. It was a clean room and otherwise nice. The breakfast was extremely crowded (about 8:30). If you do stay here, try to get an interior room and I think it would prevent any late night awakenings!

No complaints about the room or breakfast except for the curtains. Outside they have a lot of lights to light up the walkways and is great for security. However, the shear white curtains do not block any bit of that light. So, if you are a light sleeper or need a dark room to sleep, then do not get a room that faces the pool.
