Hotel room was comfortable but no amenities whatsoever no bottled water anywhere in the hotel to drink which i found was annoying !! When we called to front desk to inquire they abruptly told us nothing is open and water machines were out of water & hung up ! Other then that bed comfortable room clean , a bit noisy but it is Memphis and we wanted to be close to Beale . I pretty much summed up this hotel in the title of my review! If you are looking for a great place to stay that is within walking distance of pretty much everything in downtown Memphis, this is the place! The food at the restaurant was good, the beds were comfortable, the room was clean, the view over Union St was great! We stayed here during the barbeque contest weekend of the Memphis in May International Festival! It wasn't the cheapest hotel but for the convenience, I feel it was worth it... Read more

Convenient and clean! Close to Beale St. and great restaurants. We loved our stay here and would definitely stay again. Just remember there is a $20/day parking fee which while convenient, is much higher than garages within steps of the hotel.

We spent 3 nights here, Valet Parking was great as we were greet upon arrival with a friendly face! Room was a good size, clean and very comfortable, especially the bed, it was good to see decent pillows in a Hotel. Location is excellent just opposite the Peabody hotel so were able to pop over in time on the morning for the duck March. Walking distance to Beale Street for the evenings.

Nothing like the Holiday Inn's in the UK, this was very nice at check in with friendly helpful staff. Nice large room with fridge, tv etc and free wifi. We were lucky enough to get a room overlooking the Peabody hotel, which is worth going to see the ducks at 11AM and 5PM. A 5 minute walk and you are on Beale St, could not be better situated. Decent buffet breakfast in the morning, no complaints from either of us.

This was our second visit and we have no complaints about either stay. A warm welcome at reception, a basic room with a huge bed. My wife and I felt we were sleeping in different time zones! We didn't use any of the facilities in the hotel. We did sit by the pool one afternoon but the water was too cold to swim it being pre Memorial Day. The hotel laid on a shuttle to take us to the rail station early on our departure day to catch the City of New Orleans train. All told a comfortable hotel.

It's a Holiday Inn, so you know what you're getting from the start. The location is two blocks from Beale street, so far enough from the noise to get some sleep but close enough for you to visit or more if you like. The bed is comfortable and we had a bath in our bathroom which is appreciated when you're town hopping. The rooms are reasonably sound resistant, but won't stop the loudest ruckus. However, the front desk is quick to respond when the party next door gets out of hand.??? The room was... Read more

Great location, only a 10min walk to Beale st and all that the street offers at night, as well as being across the round to enjoy the Peabody ducks, in the afternoon. The hotel was clean, beds comfortable and amenities sufficient, typical for a Holiday Inn Property. Staff are friendly and polite.

Our room was nice, clean, comfortable, and close to so many things we wanted to do. The Peabody is right across the street, so we were easily able to take our friends to see the Ducks, and it was a very quick walk to all sorts of dining, shops, and the Beale Street area. I can't say enough about the staff, everyone was very helpful if we needed information or help, especially Jesse, our bellhop, he was very friendly and funny, joked a lot with my husband. The hotel is well situated for access to Beale street. It is a typical city centre chain hotel. The rooms were good however the bathrooms are quiet small. There is an efficient valet parking service. The restaurant and bar are below the expected standard though breakfast is good. Plan to eat out and if you want an after drink go somewhere else.

Hotel is in a great location. Within walking distance to Beale Street and the Civil Rights Museum. The hotel itself is tried and needs a redo. The hotel restaurant is limited and slow. Don't plan on a quick breakfast. The typical hotel pantry is almost non existent. Plan on searching local shops for the basic things you typically get in hotels. Staff was helpful but they are limited by the building itself.

Previous reviews mention that it looks tired, that is my opinion as well. My opinion is the materials were not of highest quality and it really shows after a few years. Bathroom in room is not exactly spic and span, you can see grunge in corners and on trim. 2 out of 3 elevators are broken, really? If I was a Holiday Inn quality control rep, I would feel first embarrassed and then angry.

My family and I stayed here this past weekend. The location is great. The facilities were okay, a little dated but clean. The front desk and valet service was pretty good, most of the staff in these two areas were pretty nice. In contrast the banquet/food service staff was not as friendly. PROs: Location. Across street from historic Peabody Hotel, and an easy walk to Beale St. Very friendly staff. Decent WiFi. CONs: Small & tight. Room is small & tight, beds are small & tight. Bathroom is small & tight, with no sink outside, which is inefficient if you have more than 1 person in the room. Smells a little funky. This property would be very over-priced were it not for the great location, so the value proposition really depends on how much you value being close to Beale St.

This was our second time in Memphis but our first time at the Holiday Inn. The valet parking was flawless and pretty slick. The folks at the front desk check in were very quick and friendly. Our room was very clean and just what we needed. I cant say enough about the location. This is right in the heart of everything. I think we found a go to place next time we are in Memphis.

A nice hotel. Great location for Beale Street. Walking distance to Sun Studios(if you like walking). A big plus was that it had a pool where we could sit and read while we waited for Beale Street to get going. Otherwise, once you have seen the attractions you can be at a loose end. The room was a bit dark, but that was because the Peabody across the street blocked out most of the light. Anyway, rooms are just for sleeping and washing. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the food was goo... Read more

This was our first visit to Memphis and we wanted to be close to Beale Street without paying a fortune. Our room was clean and up to date, and the bed was comfortable. My only complaints were that there was no refrigerator in the room, and the bathroom was small with not much room for toiletries on the sink countertop. I certainly would not let that stop me from staying here again, though. The property is directly across the road from The Peabody and is a 2 block walk to Beale Street. We fel... Read more

Great location with a short walk to Beale street. Friendly staff with clean rooms. The only downside is no in room safe and a very small bathroom. Great place to stay while spending most time out sightseeing.

We stayed here a couple of years ago on our last trip to Memphis, and despite the smallish rooms, with no safe or fridge, we generally enjoyed our stay so decided to stay there again on our recent visit. Its in a very convenient location being 5 minutes from Beale Street, and a couple of minutes walk to the river front. On our recent trip we were once again impressed with the service and the friendliness of the staff, especially the car valeting service. But then it all went 'down hill'. Our roo... Read more

This was our first visit to Memphis and was looking for a hotel in a close proximity to Beale St and other attractions we had booked. Our room was clean and the bed comfy, only a couple of issues, the bathroom was tiny and we had a room that had an Ice Machine outside the door, it sounded like a Semi Trailer had his motor running all night long really noisy, the Wi-Fi was also non-existent really poor service. Pool area looked nice and inviting but just too busy to take a dip. No room safes here... Read more

Clean room, quiet (was worried about being right by the elevator) A/C worked good. Close to Rendezvous and Peabody Hotel. About 2 blocks to Beale St. Parking across the street was $7-$10 a day. Better than the $22 a day at the hotel. Only problem we had (Group of 6, 3 rooms) was with check in. Got to hotel about 1:00 and rooms not ready. That was not a problem most places check in is around 3:00. So we went out for the afternoon and came back about 4:30. They only had 1 room ready then came up w... Read more

Love this hotel! Everyone is so friendly and nice! Especially Jazz (bartender). She wants to make sure you are enjoying your stay. All the employees, like Trena, make you feel like this is their vacation also. This hotel was clean, reasonably priced and perfect location. This was our second time there and we will be back!

Nothing special, nothing bad. Friendly staff but as with so many US hotels not quiet up to the job. Lack of skill though was covered well by smiles and friendly talk. Rooms are okay but again a Holiday Inn.... somewhat old fashioned furnishing, no decent speaker to use with a phone (you just know why the weight of that personal item ever increases), noisy air con (I never get it why especially in the US hotels they put the noisiest air cons into room you use predominantely for sleeping). Anyone who slates this hotel really need to be brought back down to earth and be told if you want to be in the ritzs then pay their prices.... I cannot fault this hotel. The rooms where huge, shower, cosmetics, microwave, popcorn, fridge, coffee.... My husband and I got married at Graceland and stayed here and the service and food was amazing. I wanna mention especially the service provided by jazz at the bar. You are a gem and should be given a raise, thanks for helping make our trip as amaz... Read more

Had a family room which was 2 double beds in the room. The room was a decent size and big enough for what we needed it for (basically to crash after a long day looking around Memphis). Didn't actually use the amenities offered at the hotel, as ate out for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Children used the pool a couple of times. Nice sized pool. Was cold due to time of year and not heated. All the staff we come across were friendly and very helpful. On our morning of departure, Uber let us d... Read more

Booked 2 rooms for 3 nights. The first night our two rooms were on each side of the weight room! I asked to have us relocated after hearing weights drop from early in the morning hours. They did get us to the opposite side late that day( they told me they would call when the rooms were ready and never did). The next problem we had was there was no hot water when we went to shower on 3 different occasions. Never experienced that at a hotel before! Next, the tv on 2 different times needed adjusted... Great location. Walking distance to Beale Street but we had some issues. We had a standard king bed room. Our first night we got back to the room close to 3am and went to sleep only to wake up at 7am to find the room over 80°! It was so hot. We "thought" we turned on the air because they had the heat on when we arrived but apparently when we called the front desk to complain that the air wasn't working they informed us that maintenance has to be the one to change it from heat to air! I stayed at the Holiday Inn because it was almost next door to the Rendevous - my favorite Memphis restaurant. I've stayed here twice before with difference experiences. I was very happy with my first stay - I had a nice room with a mini-fridge and a lot of room. The next two times I stayed I was disappointed with a very average room with no fridge/microwave. My room during my most current visit was beside the ice maker, which I heard off and on all night it seemed. I had problems with noise my ... Read more

We stayed here for two nights as part of a tour. The room was ok and the location is convenient for Beale Street and other tourist destinations. We were made to feel welcome on arrival, and the young lady working in the bar that evening was delightful. We didn't enjoy the meal (steaks horribly undercooked after waiting ages for them) but she was genuinely apologetic. Great location, right across the street from the Peabody Hotel. Short walk to Beal St, Rock 'n' Soul Museum, Gibson Guitar Factory. On-site food at the Russwood Park Sports Bar and Grill was OK (convenient but slow), but why not go to a BBQ restaurant while you're in Memphis. We had raisin bran with milk at $2/bowl for breakfast, and that was fast. The room was dated - narrow metal door which slammed when closing it, tiny bathroom but great shower and hair dryer - but it was spacious, clean, ... Read more

Staff on check in, couldn't have been less interested if they tried, they clearly were there just to get a pay check. No personality, no friendly or basic conversation on arrival. Room was fine, just basic. We asked for some information on Memphis, and the girl on reception, just threw a map at us and said "it's all on there" When we returned later that night, all the staff were just sitting around socialising, couldn't even raise their heads to say good evening or anything. We only stayed for two nights at this Holiday Inn. The hotel is located only one block away from Beale Street, and very close to some quirky eating, Kooky Canuck and Charlie Vergos ribs, which was excellent. On the other hand there is nothing else around, we couldn't even find a department store to purchase things from. Overall stay was good, rooms were clean and staff were great.

This is a nicely situated hotel about three blocks from Beale. There are a good number of restaurants nearby and there is a lobby bar that looked pretty comfortable. Hotel is very convenient for the St. Jude Marathon. Starting point and finish line very close to hotel. The first 2 days at the hotel only about half the television channels worked though. Front desk told me that manager was working on it. On day 3 we finally had all our channels. No big deal except we had our 7 year old with us and he wanted to watch tv. Hotel is a little dated but not bad.
