As usual, the Hampton Inn staff are incredible, accommodating and friendly. The hotel is not in good shape, even with a rennovation. Plumbing fixtures re loose and the house cleaning staff needs some work to keep the rooms clean and communicate to the front desk. (I was given an un-cleaned room, walking into it that way. I quickly went back to the front desk to ask for a new room, which they accommodated immediately.)

We recently stayed here for a baseball tournament. The room was adequately spaced and newly renovated. The location is good for dining and shopping but not for downtown excursions. I did not like the barn-style door on the bathroom/closet. It had no lock and lacked privacy. Also, no microwave in the room. We did enjoy the complimentary breakfast.

Over priced for Memphis but very close to FedEx HQ. Would not have stayed here if not for the reward points. This was lowest reward hotel in Memphis for Hilton Honors. Breakfast was lack luster and coffee was always out. Staff was very courteous.

I do want to let you know I was highly disappointed this time around. I do come to Memphis several times a year for work. My stay was sub par this time. Upon checking, it was late I asked for a bottle of water and was told no bc I'm not a gold member. Then I went to my room: no ice bucket or cups, no pen or paper, the shower ceiling had weird water damage and the bedroom tv didn't work properly. This was one of the best hotels every. During my travel to Memphis, I thought I would call to double check my reservations. The hotel is located some 20 miles from Graceland and a little further from downtown, but all are accessible by Freeway, making travel easy. However, the location has everything you need within walking distance, including Grocery Store, numerous Restaurants, Fast Food, Gas Stations, etc.

Nicely appointed, clean, easy to get in and out of the parking lot with good access to local roadways and beltway around Memphis. A very good supply of fast food establishments nearby with some better dining options as well. Howling baby in next room could be heard from hallway but not from inside our room. Free breakfast has plenty of options but, if you are like me and enjoy real eggs...don't eat the artificial stuff used at the Inn.

When our original hotel failed to include a second night for our youth team, we were put in a position to frantically search for five hotel rooms for one of the most busiest weekends in Memphis. We were fortunate to find 5 rooms (for a two-night stay) at the Hampton Inn not far from our activity. We enjoyed our stay (not happy about the price though)!

I Love staying at both the Hampton and Hilton hotels but this time I felt short changed. I don't know if they were having a staff shortage, but I didn't feel my room was up to par. I reserved 4 rooms for my family and I appreciate they were all together but one of the rooms was not ready when we checked in and was given keys to the room uncleaned. This is my one and only negative review about Hampton or Hilton hotels. I have actually stayed at this hotel the year prior.

The staff was awesome, nice and clean rooms. I had to do emergency laundry and front desk gave me a complimentary detergent and dryer shhets. Thanks so much for the southern hospitality. Good breakfast too!

This was my first time here, although I've been in plenty of Hampton Inns over the years. The staff was very friendly, smiling and saying hello when I passed them in the hallway. The rooms is nice, modern and quiet. Breakfast is on the upper end of the scale for Hampton, with lots of toppings for your oatmeal and a spacious place to eat. We often stay at Hamptons because we know we will have a quality room. We are willing to pay the Hampton rate to get the amenities we like. This facility is not equipped with drawers for clothes, an ice bucket, extra glasses. It did have a place for a computer in the setting room. We were staying for 4 days so a place for our stuff was important.

I was scheduled to stay at the Homewood Suites behind this hotel but since they were having a problem with the air conditioning they moved us for 1 night to the Hampton Inn. Never received any input or value from my hhonors rewards. The breakfast was poor as many items were out and never got replaced even at 8 am when we tried to eat. Never got breakfast and all I wanted was Oatmeal even after waiting over 30 minutes!

Hotel was clean and updated; staff was very cordial, friendly and knowledgeable of the hotel and area attractions; breakfast had lots of choices! Our room and bathroom were very clean and neat! I absolutely loved the barn door shared between the closet and restroom. It was a very quiet hotel and we felt safe the entire visit!

We stayed here for four nights while visiting Memphis - the hotel was very clean, the staff was super friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was excellent, with different hot offerings each day and plenty of fresh fruit. This was the least nice Hampton we have stayed at. The hotel has a run down look to the premises, one of the elevators was broken, and the location around the hotel is kind of seedy. Usually the Hampton inns are in a decent neighborhood and look well kept, but this one will make me rethink staying at another one next time.

The Hampton Inn Southwind is newly renovated. Rooms are spacious. The staff is friendly and professional. I stayed at this hotel on a Thursday night as I was passing though on a long drive. Dirty sheets upon arrival, thin towels with a Main Stay (Walmart) tag not Hampton. The elevator smells like trash. Overall the hotel staff was the best part, the hotel room left a lot to be desired. Save yourself some time, stay elsewhere. I was using the cash&point option to pay but I should have known better because it was cheaper than other locations.

Our room was clean. We stayed for 5 days and were able to get clean towels and our room cleaned each day. There was breakfast everyday. Coffee/Tea was available all day as well as a USA Today paper. The hotel is also close to restaurants like Olive Garden and Red Lobster.

We were disappointed with this location. Wen we checked in I asked the front desk lady if they had any carts. She said go look in the back by the elevator. What a dumb place to keep the carts. Convenient location with the look, and feel, of an old dormitory. I'm a big fan of Hilton properties, and their 'advance' check-in procedures, however, this was one time that I was shocked by the style and condition of a strategically located property. The room was very nice and so were the accommodations. Majority of the staff was really nice. However they ran out of food in some categories and needed to replenish but did not. This hotel was great for the use of my points. All the carpet was old most were stained. They were not clean. The wood paneling floor in the walkway of room and bathroom had foot prints all over it. The fixtures were loose. However the beds slept like Hampton beds and I slept great!

This Hampton Inn exceeded expectations by a long shot. The FULL breakfast was fantastic and was different each of our 3 days. The turkey ham was really good. The rooms and hotel were spotless and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel manager came by at breakfast to welcome us and make sure everything was perfect. I HIGHLY recommend this hotel.

I have stayed here several times and I must say that this hotel has definitely lost its luster. I visited for 3 nights (Sep 8-11th) in Room 211. Upon arrival, we checked in and stepped into the elevator. The carpet inside was extremely filthy and carried a strong musty odor. This is a nice hotel. We stayed in room 125 which is a King Suite and it was clean and roomy. We only spent one night here and almost everything about our stay was positive. We were very happy with the Hampton Inn in Memphis. We were greeted by the kind Ms Ding-Dong and after a quick check-in we went to a nice, light and spacey room. The hotel appears new and the room are furnished accordingly. Nothing needed fixing or a touch-up of some sort. And it was spotless! Courteous and professional staff. Location convenient to FEDEX World HQ. Easy Uber to Germantown Commissary for quality Memphis BBQ. A bit of a haul to Beale Street but only about $25 by Uber. Cookies are always a plus! Fresh fruit included in breakfast.

No major problems, but was overall meh. Several broken features in hotel. One of two elevators broken, remaining one was very slow. Several vending machines broken. Sometimes difficult to find staff. Room was fine, and the breakfast is good.

The hotel property is in need of repair and the housekeeping staff needs to do a better job of cleaning the room. Our soap dish was dirty and there were nose hair in the sink. Additionally, the towels were not clean as if the previous guest had used them and they were not replaced. I am a Hilton Gold member and this is by far the worst experience in 20 years visiting Hilton brand hotels.

This facility had well-lit parking in a safe area. I liked charging ports by the bedside. Hot water was available very quickly This hotel was located in a convenient location. The room was quiet - not much noise outside our room was heard.

Room was not clean. There was no note saying duvet and blankets are washed daily. Bathroom door was awkward to close. Water in bathtub was brown. Bath towels were worn out. A panhandler was in the parking lot and hotel as I checked in. When I checked out, the girl at the desk didn't even say thank you.

Memphis can be expensive but the Hampton Inn Southwind provided a well-priced suburban base for easy driving to attractions like Graceland and Sun Studio. It is also well situated in an area well serviced with shops and dining options, several of which we tried. We had been on the road for some while and the regular Hampton Inn feature of a guest laundry was most welcome. The hotel itself was comfortable, affordable, and our rooms were quiet and well-equipped.

This hotel is very convenient if you are doing things out and about in the suburbs of Memphis. It's location is great for local shopping and if you need anything it is pretty close by.
