Having waited over 60 years to stay at Heartbreak Hotel, staying herewas Not a disappointment and another item ticked of the bucket list. The hotel is a little dated but this adds to the environment and ambiance. Reception staff helpful, if under pressure at times. The hotel is being replaced in October of this year by a new 450 room establishment which will be call 'The Guest House'. We were very glad to have stayed at HH now. The only downside during our stay was the free breakfast - to UK re... Read more

Loved this place, had two king sized beds that were very comfy. We were too early to check in but the reception gave us a parking pass, so we were ok to go over to Graceland. Breakfast was good and also ate in the Jungle room diner which was very good value. So glad we got to stay before it closes

Neither of us were big Elvis fans but we appreciated the amenities and memorabilia none the less. You can't help but get caught up in the legend of the man. Piped music, movies available in room and lounges, reception outfitted perfectly. Great gift shop proved handy for late night ice cream snacks also. Our room was spacious but a bit musty smelling. We found turning off the air con helped. Grabbed a late lunch at the bar, hot dogs and shrimp poh boys. Made use of the hotel shuttle to and fr... Read more

I booked this holiday for a very special birthday present for my wife. A dream destination for her and I was kind of ok about going. The journey over went smooth and from the moment we were picked up from the airport I felt there was going to be something special about this trip. A short drive later and we arrived. Checked in surrounded by Elvis memorabilia everywhere and his tunes playing. Up to our room and drop off our stuff. Ok so the hotel is dated and a little bit lost in the 70's BUT it's... Read more

Reading some of the reviews I would agree dated and in some parts past its best hence the new complex being built but this was fun and clean . Breakfast was fine good selection of cereal, fruit and pastries - room big and clean , easy access to room and parking - elvis theme fun and very convenient for Graceland - new complex looks huge and very impersonal so glad we got to stay in this one before it closed.

We came up to Tennessee for a family vacation. First stop on our list Graceland and spending the night at at the Heartbreak Hotel which was conveniently enough at the end of Lonely Street. LOL The continental breakfast was good, the hotel restaurant served very good food and the drinks at the Jungle Room where delicious. The rooms were nice and spacious, although the air conditioner units could be upgraded. We had a very good time.

A great walk back in time - the lobby, showing non stop Elvis movies on an old tv. Purple velour furniture, a pink telephone, a bar names Jungle Room, heavy red velvet drapes nostalgia over the top. Very pleasant staff. The hair dryer is our room was burnt out, and it was promptly replaced. The rooms were average, but the convenience of leaving the car parked at the hotel and being able to walk to the ticket booth for Graceland was wonderful. Breakfast was minimal. the hotel has not been renovat... Read more

The best thing about this hotel is that it is the closest hotel to Graceland. The next best thing is that it is closing soon. I have stayed in a lot of places all over the world and this place definitely wins some ribbons for weirdness and below standards things. If you are going to Graceland between now and the time it closes and you just have to stay here, you should know: 1) The rooms remind me of an old cheap motel. We had a regular room with 2 queen beds. Poor layout -- the beds are just... Read more

When it was built in the seventies it would have a lovely place to stay but in this modern age it is really dated. The rooms are tired and the layout poor, the one we were in, had two bedrooms with the bathroom coming directly off one room, so if the person sleeping in the other room wanted to use the toilet in the night they would have to go into the room!
