Double tree by Hilton is located a short walk from the main interest area of Memphis and virtually next door to the Peabody hotel. It's probably a little dated but this is compensated by reasonably spacious rooms and friendly staff. A massive bonus for us was arriving at 6.30am after an overnight Amtrak rail journey and given the room immediately without any fuss was amazing! Well done reception staff! The rooms were quiet and a good nights sleep was achieved. We didn't use the on-site TGIs.

The Basics: Rooms are updated and clean. Extremely friendly staff. Handicap friendly. Blocks away from Beale Street. TGIF is just off the lobby. Offers some personal amenities for purchase. Across the street from Peabody Hotel. Regardless of the length of your stay, this Double Tree will not disappoint you. The unique lobby is quiet and offers plenty of seating. The gentleman playing the piano added a relaxing touch to the atmosphere. I will mention also the transportation to and from the airp... Read more

This Doubletree was reasonably priced in a convenient location. They also had very friendly staff. It was very close to several shopping areas. The food in the Executive Lounge was a pleasant surprise. I would stay there again if back in the area.

The hotel was nice staff was friendly but I found a live roach in bathroom. Roaches are sort of common in the Memphis area so I wasn't so shocked. Overall the hotel was nice sort of fancy inside but a little dated. Nice elevator in center of lobby but the glass was dirty.

The carpets were disgusting. The shower curtain smelled like mildew, and one of the pillow cases had a lipstick stain on it...other that that everything else was fine. One of the good perks were the complementary cookies given upon arrival.

It feels like coming home each and every time I stay here. From the front desk being so helpful and welcoming to the housekeepers who are always friendly. I had a need to find an extra tuxedo shirt and cummberbund/tie set and Keith at the front desk gave me the perfect place to find what I needed. Miss Marilyn at the front desk is ALWAYS friendly and she is one of the primary reasons I keep coming back.

Minimally acceptable, but not recommended for families. Comfortable beds and clean, as is appropriate with a vacuum cleaner being run at 7:20am on Sunday morning. Indoor pool to cold to use in June. Apparently, management chooses not to heat. Internet @$6.95/nt without HHonors. No breakfast. Bill at checkout and bill sent by email differ by $80.00. I put cleanliness as most important thing for a hotel to get right and it was clean. The chocolate chip cookies are enough to keep me coming back. Only complaint is the beds seem a little small. Not the best beds for two adults to have to share. Staff was very friendly

Just an average hotel for Memphis. Only benefit is a lot of restaurants in walking distance and nice area around the hotel. Rooms are clean and beds are comfortable. Very noisy on the 2nd floor during my stay lots of doors banging and people being loud. Not sure if it was the lack of sound barrier or just a group of people but don't typically experience at other hotels.

good hotel, nothing exceptional but I think the staff was excellent. The cookies are very good too. The room was comfortable and clean. Location of hotel is OK, most would probably think it is better but I prefer staying downtown. I was there on business so it was not my choice. I would stay there again but would try to find another hotel.

This hotel is much, much better than the nearby Hampton. Customer service was courteous and helpful. Breakfast was great, but choices were repetitive. Either way it beat a Hampton breakfast any day. We stopped here while traveling from Missouri to Florida. Overall the hotel was clean, and in a safe and central location. The pool is half indoor and half outdoor, which was a little misleading. Clean nice hotel. If definitely stay again. Excellent location. central to everything. Quick trip to downtown and midtown. Bedding nice. Rooms nice. Welcomed with a warm cookie and lemonade. Bar closed without 'last call.' That's my only complaint.

We came to Memphis on a work trip and were blown away by the Doubletree! The rooms were comfortable and clean, the staff was very friendly, and we loved spending our evenings in the restaurant, The Lynchburg Legends, with the barkeep Carlos! "I hope Carlos reads this!" -Trish and JuJu

While this isn't usually the hotel I use in Memphis I must say it was a great change!!! The rooms are comfy and clean- and everyone on the staff was warm and welcoming. I had a room on the 6th floor and it was silent!!! So nice to get a good nite rest and actually sleep in. The king room was nice and had a full size fridge. I didn't use the restaurant or pool but everything looked nice. The lobby is warm and welcoming as well. You can walk across the street to a little plaza and down the road... Read more

We initially wanted to stay downtown but apparently booked this hotel. However the staff was great but the room could have been better. The staff was helpful in directing us to local restaurants and shopping areas.

One of the best places to stay in the Memphis area. This hotel is in a safe area, and not too far from the downtown night life. There are many great places to dine close to the hotel if the great restaurant they have is not to your liking or there large bar. A relaxing indoor outdoor pool that feel great! I will be going back soon

Beautiful lobby, great restaurant, awesome shuttle driver (Paul), friendly staff but average room. Meeting rooms are very nice. There is also a lot of options in the area for dining. Not to far from BB Kings restaurant or Graceland.

We often stay at DoubleTree's because they are very nice and consistent so you know what to expect. This one was a little under par. Noticed broken elevator lights and the elevator actually broke down one night. The exercise room was missing half the dumbbells. Our room was nice and quiet. The bed was awesome as expect. Staff was very friendly. I'd stay again. Just needs a little maintenance

From being greeted on checking in, to the great room, to the delicious early evening small plates this hotel makes you feel welcomed and valued. Marilyn at the front desk is always a treat to see on my return. The location is perfect for all of my favorite restaurants and convenient to almost anywhere in Memphis.

We didn't know what to expect from Memphis talking to people but we were pleasantly surprised. The hotel was perfect but we did have our own car. We drive to the visitors center and parked free there. The hotel has everything you would want or need. The staff were all very helpful and friendly. And more importantly it was very clean;) I would stay there again!

Disclaimer: I'm a HiltonHonors Rewards Member and the hotel elevator identified floors 4-8 as HHonors floors. My review is based on my 6th floor HHonors room... The room was spacious and spectacular. The bed was a little too firm for my tastes but I know some people like that. The bathroom was one of the biggest hotel bathrooms I've seen (now, granted, I am not of the means to stay in those luxury $3,000+ rooms where bathrooms are the size of regular hotel rooms) on my budget. The shower w... Read more

From the checkin to the room it was a pleasant experience. The hotel has a modern flair and everything is pleasant including the staff. Quick checkin like they were ready for us all day. Cool wall located inside the lobby, you have to see it. It's quite unusual and certainly one of a kind. The rooms and beds were excellent what more is there to say. You will like this hotel it doesn't get much better.

Not downtown. In nice quite semi residential area. Only 20 minutes to airport. Free self parking. Room was spacious compared to other Double Trees stayed at. Appeared to be recently remodeled. Clean. Good wifi. Took a little while to get hot water in shower, but once there it was plenty hot - and water pressure was good. Nice towels. Bed comfortable, little on soft side. Ok pillows. Only complaint is couldn't seem to cool off room. Was 79 degrees when we arrived, and only down to 75 by time w... Read more

This hotel is well located, being a short walk to Beale St. Rooms are clean and modern. The foyer has some historical features that add interest. Paid parking is not onsite, being a short distance down the street. We however, were able to get a meter just outside for the last couple of hours of the day and for one hour prior to check out. 5pm to 9am parking was free. This was more convenient and less costly than nearby paid parking. Staff were very welcoming and helpful

I love this hotel. I try to stay here every time I come to Memphis - it has great proximity to everything, but it's not right in the heart of downtown (which makes it quieter). Super friendly staff in all parts of the hotel, the breakfast is outstanding. They recently remodeled and it's very nice. Note: stay on the Executive floor, but choose a room below 819.

Overall the hotel is clean and in a good location however the front desk clerk said barely anything to us at check in and provided no info at all about the hotel. Our room was not made up after the first night. The bed sagged in the middle also.

As an HHonors member we were able to get the best price for this hotel on Hilton's website. We were also able to check in on the app and pick the room we wanted. The hotel is clean and well maintained. It's in a great location if your going for the food, all the restaurants are close by and downtown is only about a 15 minute drive. The cookies at check in are always awesome and its nice to be able to get free water, lemonade and tea at the front desk. I think we had the same staff member at... Read more

A recent business trip took me to Memphis and was delighted to find that the DoubleTree of Memphis was in the Hilton family of hotels. As a Honors member I look forward to my trips away from home knowing that I will not be disappointed with the quality of the accommodations and the friendly professional service that greets me upon my arrival.

I only stayed here for 1 night on Friday 11-18-16. I was able to book the room on the Hilton Honors App and I checked in via the app about 1 hour prior to arrival. The check in was very quick, my family loved the hot cookies. This was my first time to use the digital room key and it worked fine although I did have the regular key as back up. The room was very nice and up to date. The beds were comfortable. We did not make use of any other hotel amenities as we left about 7 am the following morn... Read more

The staff is very accommodating and will help you any way that they can. Hotel pool is very clean and very nice for a inside pool. Pool water was kind of cool since the water goes outside, but the inside was nice and toasty! This hotel is close to everything you will need. Fox and Hound bar is next door if you don't want to eat in the nice restaurant in the hotel. We will defiantly be going back... and the cookies are awesome!

Booked this hotel, because it was advertized as an airport hotel with a shuttle. Their shuttle didn't pick me up or take me to the airport. Had to shell out $60 of my own money for a taxi. Very nice hotel, but pretty indifferent service desk. Shuttle runs from 6a-10p only.

There's nothing fancy about this hotel but it's clean and comfortable and the location can't be beat. We used points to stay one night so our only expense was $25 for parking. It's across the street from Autozone Stadium and next door the The Peabody. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Good location close to Beale street but in a quiet location. Room was clean if a little dated. Hotel has a TGI Fridays attached and this is where you have breakfast. We used the valet parking but I believe you could park yourself as well.

This was one of the best stays we have had at a Double Tree property. The staff was friendly and treated us like family. The Junior Suite was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. You can expect to get a good night's sleep. The waitstaff is very friendly and breakfast is outstanding. We would return to this hotel without hesitation in the future. The hotel is lovely, in a nice part of town and close to a few restaurants. The staff was extremely helpful and nice - everyone we encountered had a smile. They let us have a late, and then later checkout because we were waiting for our car to be repaired and had two small children with us. Rooms were very nice, quiet, and the beds were comfortable. We would recommend this hotel to anyone.
