Hotel was very run down. Room smelt seriously disgusting, thermostat fell off the wall when I tried to turn down the aircon. Plugs hanging out the desk and didnt work. I was grabbed by the arm by a homeless man in the valet area and staff did nothing to intervene.

This property soes not deserve Double Tree/ Hilton name. Only good point about this is location. Rooms are old. carpets are dirty. bathrooms grouts are dirty..whole property feels like a motel. Food is good though

Dirty towel in the hotel room. Couldn't get anyone on the phone at the front desk when calling for a new towel or to ask other questions. Poor internet in the rooms. Hotel overall felt rundown and like it needed to be significantly updated.

Doubletree is located in the center of Downtown directly across from the entrance to AutoZone Park/Redbird Stadium. It's a few short blocks up from Beale Street and moments from Mud Island and Mid America Mall..all within minutes and walking distance.

Apparently it depends on the room you get. I am a Diamond Hilton member and wasn't upgraded to the HHonors floor but my room was fine. It was clean and stocked, I found no issues whatsoever with the room at all. The staff at this hotel are extremely nice and helpful. If you valet, they have a parking garage down the street that the valet needs to drive/walk to in order to get your vehicle, and it can be hot in Memphis. Tip the valets for their service. Location was great close to Beale St. with ... Read more

I stayed at the Doubletree in May and June 2016. Had good experience both times. The location is great but first appearances in the lobby is much better than the rooms. My 2nd visit the room was much better so not sure if they might be working on updating? Also, was there to attend a Redbird game and it is right across the street! I would stay here again. There is a TGIFriday in the hotel which is nice.

We had a wonderful experience at this hotel. It is so conveniently located to Beale Street. The room and other facilities were very nice. The breakfast was good with a varied selection of items. The room was spacious and very clean.

Great location for Beale Street, 10 minute drive to Graceland. Staff very friendly and helpful. Hotel could do with a little bit of refurbishment, rooms large but decor a little tired. Noisy air con. Valet parking at $25 overpriced (plus tips!) lots of cheap parking about near the hotel Hilton by name only....

On the Tuesday evening of my stay (06/28) I had a conferene call with my company's office in Shanghai, China from 8PM to 10:30PM CDT (13 hour time difference). I read on the menu that the in-room dining ended at 11PM. I called the in-room dining number at approximately 10:20PM to order dinner and was informed the kitchen was closed. When I asked why did the in-room dining menu state 11PM I was told "there is was no one in the kitchen sir." I asked the gentleman for his name to which he hesi... Read more

Nice hotel, TGI Fridays on site for breakfast and just around the corner from Beale Street. Nice flowers in the lobby and glass walled lift but the room escapes my memory and I don't have a picture of it to help -sorry. Must have been OK.

Loved the lobby. Loved the staff. Thought the location was ideal for walking to all the important attractions in Memphis (and there are many). Our room was fine. You will need at least four days too see Memphis and all it has to offer.

Clean, close to everything. Nice staff, decent breakfast. Valet parking is very safe. We can walk to Beale Street or any of the venues in town (FedEx Forum, Orpheum, Mud Island etc.). Main Street is also pretty cool.

The staff's friendly and pleasant disposition over shadowed any situation that occur. The staff made my stay a wonderful experience. The hotel's location was within walking distance of many local attractions. Extra touches like the Manager's Wednesday afternoon reception and the pianist every afternoon made my stay a delight.

The hotel staff and most of the hotel was great but the tub had a mostly round bottom. I almost fell while taking a show (no grab bar). I didn't feel comfortable taking a show the 6 days I was in the hotel.

The location is great and the front desk and house keeping were very accommodating. The building needs work very bad. Rooms are small and I thought we were paying for suite. The last time I stayed at a Doubletree it was like a home away from home. Over the past few years I have stayed at much cheaper places that even provided a complimentary breakfast for half the price. some of the locations were great and some were not.

College pre-rush students made excessive amounts of noise well after midnight which significantly interfered with our ability to get a good night's sleep. There didn't appear to be hotel staff monitoring the noise level after hours.

Great flag of Hilton with standards in line. Aging carpets and musty smells in areas. Charming lobby with music, facade, great cookies, great location! Tgi Fridays lounge sometimes great sometimes challenging with service. Breakfast is kinda awkward in layout and comfort, lacking flow and attention to detail. Overall average in general, staff is friendly and helpful

I spent some points to upgrade to a corner suite on the 7th floor. The room was ok but no fridge, which was odd. We like to have a fridge to cool our things for the next day so they don't spoil in the cooler. We can normally rely on the wifi in a Hilton but this time they dropped the ball, we could not get a signal, phoned reception and they said they would look into it and get back to us. Not sure if they looked into it but they did not get back to us or fix it. They did apologise when we ... Read more

I HOPE YOU CAN HEAR ME OVER THE NOISE OF THE ROOM AIR CONDITIONER...AND THE BATHROOM EXHAUST FAN RUNS 24/7 - NO WAY TO TURN IT OFF. This is a tired Doubletree. The rooms need some updating - no outlets on either side of the bed - had to unplug the alarm clock for my phone. No refrigerator, no microwave. Bathroom tub floor - no mat, no roughed up surface - like a skating rink and an injury waiting to happen. Breakfast buffet is OK - but the buffet room is dark/dingy. Positives - fron... Read more

We checked in to the DoubleTree on Union Avenue around 10pm on 8/7. The valet attendant was friendly and greeted immediately. Check in took only a few minutes, and the front desk clerk was very kind, friendly, and welcoming. She even selected a room for us on the 10th floor overlooking Union Ave when our daughter asked for the highest room we could get. Our room was on the HHonors floor (we are HHonors members). We stayed in 1002, overlooking Union Ave and Auto Zone Park. The room was modern... Read more

DISAPPOINTED ?? The Roof top pool is made of stainless steel, the water was extremely hot and the pool floor very slick! Use caution when entering the pool using the ladder, as the bottom rung is not secure and pivoting. Lost balance and cracked to ribs on the handrail. Reported to management and was told they would get back with me. Room was ok, no choice on parking, valet only. Planning another trip to Memphis this fall and definitely will not stay here.

Stopped just one night and was disappointingly drab after a stay at the brand new Fairfield inn in Clinton. Staff friendly and nice plus a complimentary cookie at check in. Flexible check out too as let us have an extra 90 mins in room. Gym was badly thought out - need more mirrors or equipment rearranged to allow you to watch tv. No water or towels but a call to careline took care of that within 20 mins. Good location for Beale street but musty room and too dark.

This hotel is located in an excellent place in town. It is next to the Peabody hotel and a 5 minute walk to Beale street. The staff here were friendly and quite helpful and the exterior and public areas of the hotel are modern and well kept. However, the rooms are in desperate need of updating. We actually saw 2 rooms due to being given separate beds at first and then being moved to a king sized room. Both rooms were shabby. The first room had the curtain rail hanging away from the wall and the ... Read more

We chose Doubletree by Hilton Memphis Downtown for our recent vacation stay in Memphis. The location was perfect for seeing all that the downtown has to offer. Beale Street is easily within walking distance as is many great restaurants. The hotel is nice, but needs updating. The door to our room stuck badly, making it difficult to get in without slamming your body against it. The bathroom door stuck as well. The staff were friendly and helpful. And the warm cookies were a welcome treat!

The hotel is a standard Doubletree offering with good quality at a reasonable price. Hotel is superbly located for all the main attractions. Auto zone ball park right across the road and an excellent night out - go for the food / drinks inclusive package which offers great seats and super value. Beale St is just 5 minutes walk away and all other downtown attractions are within 15-20 mins walk or a $1 bus / trolley ride away. The hotel staff are really friendly and especially the ladies who look... Read more
