About the Area
Memphis is a city in the southwestern corner of the State of Tennessee and the county seat of Shelby County. The city is located on the fourth Chickasaw Bluff, south of the confluence of the Wolf and Mississippi rivers. Downtown Memphis rises from a bluff along the Mississippi River, and the city's urban area sprawls outward over southwest Tennessee and into northern Mississippi and eastern Arkansas. Several large parks are scattered through the city. The Memphis Riverfront stretches along the Mississippi River from the Meeman-Shelby Forest State Park in the north, to the T. O. Fuller State Park in the south. The River Walk is a park system that connects downtown Memphis from Mississippi River Greenbelt Park in the north, to Tom Lee Park in the south.

Stayed two nights for Elvis Week weekend. We were able to get last-minute reservations. The room was spacious, clean & comfortable. Since we were there for Elvis Week we did not spend a lot of time in our room. All the staff there are very friendly & accommodating. Non-smoking rooms are available. Rooms have tv, refrigerator, microwave, iron, ironing board, coffee pot, & hair dryer. The bed was very comfortable. The elevator can be a little slow at times. There is a free continental breakf... We have been here 2 weeks due to our truck being in the shop. The rooms are fairly clean and most of the staff is friendly. Cons- There is a lot of pot smoking going on in the rooms and they don't really do anything about it when you call them. They don't change the bed spreads between check ins. So the bedspread you have, the last person used it as well and it hasn't been washed. The wifi sucks really bad. You can't do anything online because the signal is so shotty. There isn't any restaur... Read more

Sometimes we miss all opportunity to get the accommodation we prefer and we have to take what is on offer - which was our situation when staying in Memphis. We were pleasantly surprised and the quality of the Country Hearth Inn was very good. Sure, the location was not the best but our room was clean and the bed comfortable, so it suited our needs beautifully as we explored amazing Memphis. Breakfast is also included, which is always a bonus when travelling. Certainly not a bad place to stay at ... Read more

My friend and I traveled from St Louis, MO to have fun for Memphis in May and we came across this hotel on It was a great rate and check in was smooth, not the best of places but we aren't picky because we knew we would be out of the 90% of the night. We checked in at 2:50pm and put our bags in the room and left out for a few hours. We returned and was getting ready to rest until tonight and at about 7pm the lights went out in the hotel. We waited for 10 minutes to see if the gener... Read more

My wife and I stayed here on our way home after our vacation in Myrtle Beach, SC. The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. Hotel staff was friendly and courteous. No questions asked about our large dog. The breakfast was so so. The waffle maker was too hot, and the timer was set too long, the waffles kept sticking and you had to use regular butter, as the spray butter was not working. The waffles had to be scraped off. Some one got some bread, or a bagel stuck in the bagel/bread toaster... Read more

My wife and I stayed at this location while on vacation. The hotel is decent the front desk staff are rude and unprofessional. I was using lobby restroom when I walked out of bathroom I almost bumped into another gentleman I put my hand up to keep from running into him and he was hollering racial slurs. Desk clerk Dexter then started talking about how white people think we are privileged more than others. And told my wife to go put her turban on here head!!!!!!!! This hotel deserves 0 business a... We didn't stay here by choice. Our motel next door 'La Quinta' evacuated all customer's because of a legionnaires outbreak so they arranged for us to stay at this motel. It appeared old, dingy and unclean from the get go. We almost left and drove to another motel to stay. It's in dire need of a full renovation. Breakfast was also terrible.
