This hotel is in the stages of renovation so for that we will give them the benefit of a doubt that they will make the necessary improvements. The staff were all very nice and welcoming. With that said our visit was not a good one. The rooms are clean and the furnishings look new, but there are no closets and no where to hang anything. No hanger bar in sight! The walls are paper thin. On our second night we were rudely awakened by the sound of two small barking dogs at 2 am. We weren't even awa... Read more

We enjoyed our stay at The Wild Bear Inn very much. We stay there every time we're in Pigeon Forge. The staff are all friendly, the rooms are clean and it's just a safe feeling place. Can't wait to go back!

Stayed July of 2015 when it was still a Rodeway Inn owned by Choice Hotels. I've never been impressed with the Rodeway Inn brand, and this stay was no different. The front desk was manned by one person, who had conveniently stepped out for an hour at check-in time. The room was as expected- dirty, smelly, and decrepit. The only saving grace was that they allowed pets and that it was a very close location to everything. We only stayed for one night, and did not dare try the breakfast. The propert... Read more

The room was very clean and no smells. Bed was very comfy and slept wonderful. I typically don't sleep but 5 hours and I slept for 7. Pillow a little soft for me but I usually bring my own. Loved the free breakfast, check in was easy, let us check in early, pool was clean. This isn't a 5 star resort and no internet. I didn't expect a 5 star with paying 80 for one night. I would stay here again.

This was by far the best motel I have ever stayed. The bed was the most comfortable bed ever. Clean and quiet. I will stay here every time I am in Pigeon Forge. The Restaurant had a fantastic breakfast.

This is the most unprofessional hotel I have ever stayed at!! When we arrived at 9:00pm on the night of our stay and checked into our room the room was dirty and had not been cleaned. No apology was made for this and it took them an hour to get us into another room. My daughter left her Beat headphones in the room at checkout, when we went back later to get them no one knew where they were and the only person who had been in the room was housekeeping! We are still waiting to get this resolved! T... Read more

One of the cheaper places in galinburg/pigeon forge area. Stayed here due to good reviews. For sub $100 this motel is a good value. Average cleanliness. Room was relatively clean and appeared updated as advertised. Spacious room and bathroom. Small sink counter. Comfortable bed. Directly on busy/noisy highway with lots of foot traffic. may ask for room on back of hotel in the future. Included free breakfast was in fact a voucher for stack of pancakes and tea or coffee at attached resta... Read more

I had to come to Gatlinburg for a graduation and booked this hotel last minute, I was a little concerned when I pulled up but all the staff was lovely. I was told this hotel was being remodeled and I was surprised to find my room in decent shape. Bed was extremely comfortable! Includes free pancakes! Restaurant was a little outdated and kind of busy considering there was only 1 server working. Poor girl, I think her name was Samantha, was running her butt off but continued to give great service.... Read more

We stayed here just for one night. It doesn't look that good from the outside but the rooms are very nice and have been redone. There is no elevator but do have a ramp going from one floor to the other. The staff was very nice and gave us a late check out. Would stay there again!

The 1st room we were put in, behind the door where the door handle hits the wall was a huge hole in the wall where it looked like someone slammed the door against the wall really hard. Then we turned the bathroom light on and it didn't work. Here's the thing they charge you $50 in case there are damages in the room. We went and told them what we found in the room so we wouldn't get charged the $50. They didn't know the bathroom light didn't work. So if the light didn't work how was the maid able... Read more

We were looking for a pancake place in Pigeon Forge on our way to the National Park. There is no shortage of options in this category around here. For some reason we stopped in at the Pancake House at the Wild Bear Inn. I was a bit concerned because Hotel restaurants are not always the best , but we had a very nice meal and time here. The food was good, especially the home fries which were nicely seasoned with salt and pepper. And if you order one of the plate breakfasts and get pancakes ins... Read more

This is a great hotel that has been remodeled. Our room was clean, flat screen TV and the beds...well let's just say I hated getting out of them in the morning. So comfy beauty rest mattress. Only downside is we were in the pool area and could hear the kids yelling and playing. So if you want quite ask for another building. Pool was clean. The whole outside was clean. Would definitely stay here again. Located near lots of things to do. Walking distance to creek. Walls were thick enough didn't h... Read more

The rooms were very clean, they looked like they had been recently painted and new bedding and furnishings. The beds were super tall! I'm 5'2" and had difficulty getting onto the bed. No closet in room or ironing board/iron. There was a hair dryer. The lighting over the sink was very dim. The pool and area around it was clean and well-kept. No pool towels provided, however. No continental breakfast. Instead, you're given 2 coupons for a free pancake breakfast (3 full plate pancakes, abo... Read more

The rooms were hopefully just in the processes of being remodeled. Nice comfy bed but that was about all. Carpets were extremely dirty, moldy shower curtains, absolutely no lighting, very few electrical outlets and the outlets that were there some were non working, the air unit was next to the bathroom so we froze to death getting ready. The air unit was also dirty. The vanity was boarded up so we could not use that as space. We went to the desk and asked for an iron, 48 hours later we checked o... Read more

This place is fantastic! Great value for the money spent. They even gave free pancake breakfast for every morning during your stay! They are HUGE! You can order one or two. Samantha and Joan waited on us during the stay. They are absolutely sweet and they work great as a team! My husband and I would definitely recommend this hotel to others!

This place is about your average 3 star hotel, then you take into account it's around $75 a night with a free pancake breakfast. So if you account for the price of breakfast anywhere else it's saving you $20 a day for 2. I'm not big on pancakes so I ate other things on their menu, and you can use the pancake voucher for $3 off your other food. Great biscuits and gravy. One of the best waitresses you'll ever have is Samantha! Even the days that it's packed to the brim she's running like it's n... Read more

We enjoyed this hotel. Good location. Comfy beds. Awesome water pressure in the shower. Convenient gas station right next door. If you can't handle early morning traffic noise this hotel isn't for you but you're on vacation right get up and get moving early and it doesn't make a difference. Only thing the rooms need are microwaves.

I loved the atmosphere. I loved the check in. I loved the room, but then I met the real office personnel. First experience was to ask for additional pillows. I was told by housekeeping I would need to visit office for that request. I did. Terry told me she would tell housekeeping. I asked Terry if "0" would dial them if needed since my room was far away. Her response "I think so?" Two hours later no pillow. Called office. I was asked who took that request. Told the front desk. Terry... Read more

The room we had was very nice and clean. As a Westgate owner I knew they wouldn't be bad. The main problem we had was having to walk through the smokers to get up the stairs. Was really bad when we found out it was employees. Other than that it was a good place to stay.

The motel was pleasant and the rooms were nice. The staff were all more than helpful. The grandkids enjoyed the pool. Coupons for a free pancake breakfast includes 4 huge pancakes. Rooms were updated with new furnishings and a Mimi fridge. We would consider staying here again.

Being a westgate owner...I want to be loyal but truthful. I was lucky to get this room for a last minute weekend getaway. For the price, you can't beat the location and the room renovations helped but there is room for improvement and I know its still a working progress. You also get great customer service which is typical from Westgate. Our room was not smelly which is something I am a diva about and the water pressure and showerhead was great. The linens and bed were fantastic but the furnitur... Read more

I booked a stay there. Reservations went smoothly. On arrival staff was friendly and helpful. Room was very acceptable (though the bed was high enough off the ground I almost could have used a stool). Air conditioner condensate drain hose was leaking so half of room's carpet was soaking wet. It looked like it had been going on for awhile. I reported it on checkout. Only caveat: they have a $170 nonrefundable "deposit" to have your pet stay (unless it's a service animal) . There was no... Terrible smell and lots of hairs in the 'fresh' sheets.Yuk. In much need of refurbishment. Also, only hotel that charged our credit card prior to stay in the US. If everywhere else hadn't been so ridiculously expensive at the time of arriving and discovering how bad the place was I probably wouldn't have had to think about almost sleeping in my suitcase.

When we arrived at the hotel we were greeted by the lovely staff they were super nice and helpful when getting checked in. When we got the room seemed nice and clean, a little muggy smelling, but that was no problem. As I pulled the sheets back there was a stain on the bed so immediately we called the front desk to get the sheets changed. They came in less than 5 minutes with fresh clean sheets and changed it for us. They were great about the situation and even while changing the sheets gave us ... Read more

We stayed here for 3 nights in mid-July for a family vacation. We booked based on reviews and they had the best price for us as we prefer 2 rooms with 2 teenagers. The property is a converted older hotel that has been brought up to snuff when taken over by the resort company. The rooms were nice and the property has fresh paint and trimmings. Our first room was huge, but we had air conditioning issues. They quickly found us a new room, very close to our other room and were very apologetic about ... Read more

I booked this hotel after reviewing their pictures online. Those pictures were quite deceiving. The hotel is in need of some major renovations. They placed us in a corner room that had NO windows. It was a triangular shaped room (including the bathroom) which practically made the TV useless and no room to dry off in the bathroom. The room was not clean, and we were almost afraid to touch anything. It is very difficult to get out of the parking lot and headed back into Pigeon Forge. The tr... Read more
