My wife and I stayed here while traveling from Arkansas to Washington, DC. The front desk staff were very helpful and check-in was easy. The room was comfortable, clean, and quiet. Complimentary wifi was good. Complimentary hot/cold breakfast provided me with everything that I needed for breakfast. I would stay here again when in Knoxville.

This HI sits off the highway and there is literally nothing behind it but woods. It is very quiet and clean. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The room looks to have been updated recently, the air worked great, and the bed was perfectly comfortable. The only reason it didn't get five stars is because the breakfast area is under construction and is a mess. Not the hotels fault, but just not aesthetically pleasing.

Hotel was under construction. We were not made aware of that when we made our reservation via a third party. Next, AC in our room was set on 75-degrees when we arrived. We turned it down to 70-degrees; however, it only cooled to 73-degrees. When we shared with staff (and they were friendly), they advised it was an "Eco-system", which they could not change / control...apparently a corporate / owner decision. Also, the couple behind us checked in with a pit bull, which they struggled to contro... Read more

We reserved here because our previous visits had been very comfortable. This time we were greeted with construction mess. We chose to cancel. We booked with central Holiday Inn booking. I would not return without assurance construction was completed .

This Hotel is undergoing a renovation in the lobby and ground floor but it was still a nice quiet stay. I have no complaints at all. The room was clean, the breakfast was adequate and the bed was comfy.

Very clean hotel with friendly staff. They show their appreciation of the military by have a special parking for Purple Heart recipients. They are in the middle of updating their lobby area and so far it looks great.

I made a stop here as a "half-way" point on my recent vacation. Although they are doing some construction/renovation, I still found the hotel to be very comfortable. Staff was very pleasant and friendly and my check in and check out were handled very efficiently. The room was clean, comfortable and very quiet. The complimentary breakfast was very good with a large selection of items to choose from. The site is close enough to the Interstate as to be convenient, but far enough away that it w... Read more

We stayed here on our way to South Carolina. It was conveniently located off I-40 so it was easy to get to and then get back on in the morning. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom was clean. There is a restaurant right across the road that is very good. We forgot a toothbrush at home and the front desk staff was helpful.

Twyla (?) manages the breakfast room better than any I have ever seen and we stall in Holiday Inn Express everywhere (the sweet rolls are so good my wife will not stay any where else). Brand new so still very clean. Caters to families with pets. Easy to get to and lots of eating choice close by - Aubrey's across street was super (ask for Chastity).

My boyfriend and I stayed here while doing a long distance drive with my golden retriever. The man working the front desk was friendly and welcoming and the hotel was modern, clean, comfortable, and located close to the highway. There's an Aubrey's Restaurant right across the street, which is a great choice for dinner/take-out. There's a small pet fee ($30) for dogs which is minimal compared to other places I've stayed. Ask for the AAA rate, if you are an AAA member. I would definitely stay here... Read more

We have stayed at this several times as we travel back and forth from Louisiana to New York. We always look forward to it. This time, I left my Kindle by mistake. Staff person LeeAnn Cole sent it on to me immediately, with no charge. Thank you Lee Ann!

This hotel is right off the I-40 Highway jumbled amid half a dozen other hotels/motels and a bunch of chain eateries. This hotel was actually a pretty sensible choice. The front desk service was good, the breakfast was a step better than anticipated, with eggs to order and a pleasant staff to compliment the buffet. The hotel was clean and when I was there during the week, it was reasonably quiet. However one could sense that depending on the clientele at the time, the hotel might not always be ... Read more

We were traveling from Indianapolis back home to Florida and needed a place to rest our heads for a night. We didn't arrive until nearly 11pm and the front desk staff were very friendly. We had booked the hotel through Booking.com. The room was very clean and we slept well. Breakfast the following morning hit the spot and we were off on our last leg home.

We lost power in a storm, and after two nights of suffering through the heat, we decided on this hotel. Room was extremely clean, beds were beautifully made & slept well. Large flat screen TV with all the channels, as well as a wall-controlled thermostat for the AC. In-room coffee had K-cup style coffee/teas. Bathroom was clean and well stocked with plenty of amenities from Bath & Body Works (shampoo, lotion, conditioner, shower cap, soaps). Exercise room & breakfast rooms were well kept. B... Read more

This hotel is easy to reach from the interstate. It is well-appointed and clean. Our room was attractive, comfortable bed, pillows. Great shower, but shower curtain was hard to keep closed. Simple breakfast, but sufficient with varied offerings.

While the lobby appeared freshly renovated, the rooms certainly could use some attention. Hallways and rooms seemed musty, tears and fraying stained carpeting. Cracked tiles and bathrooms in need of general updating. Room was clean and breakfast acceptable, but compared to other Holiday Inn Express locations this one falls short. Pool area also extremely small. We will look for another option next time in the Knoxville area.

Thanks to TripAdvisor reviews we booked a night here on our way towards DC. The hotel is very clean and looks freshly updated. The front desk staff was friendly and check in was swift. We had a double queen with a view of the back parking lot and woods past it. Refrigerator, Keurig machine in the room, amazing water pressure in the shower, very clean. I didn't find the bed terribly comfortable but it was clean and I liked the labeled pillows (soft, firm). The pool is a nice size, believe it's ... Read more

Tried many hotels midway between home and Hilton Head and this is the best of them all. It is immaculate, modern and updated, quiet and conveniently located just a minute off I44 East. Take the bypass northeast and miss the Knoxville traffic. There is a really nice restaurant with southern style home cooking across the street - walk over if you like. And the free breakfast is great, starting at 6 am - pancakes, sausage, cereal, yogurt, cinnamon rolls, bagels and cream cheese, juice, coffee - you... Read more

I read all the average and poor reviews be for selecting this hotel in the hope that I would not encounter the problems mentioned. My experience was different. I could not find any of the negative things mentioned. Just the opposite, all good. The newly renovated lobby looked nice. Food was good, bed comfortable, no unusual smells, staff was friendly. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a good night's sleep in comfortable surroundings. My only thought was, I wish it didn't cost s... Read more

Handicap room, third floor. Roomy, comfortable, and clean. A/c was very good...too good in fact. We were very cold, and had to request that the A/C be turned off, which it was. the access code for the wireless wifi did not work, and I had to take my mobile device to the front desk (she did offer to come to my room) for the staff to "back into it." After only a short time, it kicked me off and I chose not to go back for a reboot. We would stay there again.

The room was nice and updated but the bathroom was poorly lit, needs more lighting for anyone putting on make up. Bed was comfy, it was easy to find, and the check in was quick. But I'm a priority club member and not even a bottle of water.

This hotel is a good place to stay overnight on the way to Asheville. Staff are very friendly and hospitable. Breakfast is OK & coffee is great. Rooms are clean & beds comfortable. There has been a new remodel of the breakfast area. Not sure who made the decisions for the decorum but it are disappointing. Cannot believe they got rid of the beautiful granite tables and replace them with faux wood tables But it is going to be across the board at holiday in express. Housekeepers & front desk staf... Good hotel for a weekend to Gatlinburg without paying the tourist prices. It's about a 20 minute drive to the Pigeon Forge area which keeps you out of the way. Friendly staff, OK breakfast. Do NOT stay in room 106, next to the business center unless you are a heavy sleeper. We were woken up at 4:30am with dishes clinging and the staff preparing breakfast. That's not fun on vacation. The front desk was happy to move us to another room for the rest of our stay.
