Stopped here while on a little road trip and was pleasantly surprised. Being in a tourist trap, the price was excellent and the room was nice and clean. Everything in the room was in proper working order. Decent continental breakfast. Our room had a balcony facing the river with 2 chairs and a table. No complaints at all.

The staff was friendly and helpful. We had two rooms. One for my wife and I and one for the kids. I requested that the rooms at least be close together. They actually gave us joining rooms! Furnature and carpet was a little dated but clean. The view of the river was great! They have a screen in the window so you can open the window at night and listen to the water. Very relaxing.

Room was $95. Fairly cheap for Gatlinburg, TN. You get what you pay for. Overall place simply needs to be updated. New paint, carpet, showers, etc. Free breakfast o.k. but not like wow, again free. Housekeeping seemed friendly, however, english was so-so.

At this Days Inn every room has a small balcony on the river--which was nice. The king bed was so comfortable, and we appreciated having six plugs at the desk to allow us to plug in our electronics. But this hotel really needs updating. Paint is off the wooden trim everywhere, the clothe furniture is stained (I put a towel over the chair in which I sat), and the bathroom was the smallest I've ever seen. The cost was a little over $100/night with tax. The self-made waffles were good at the compli... Read more

We booked this place through a Groupon. We learned the hard way why it was such a deal. The free Wi Fi was, for the most part, non-existent. The room was decent but the shower was awful. Trying to get a steady warm shower each morning was impossible. All the water was on the same line so if anyone else was showering, they took your hot water and you were constantly readjusting so you did not get burnt or frozen! Most of the staff was nice and helpful. Some acted like they didn't have a cl... Read more

For an outdated run down hotel, the room was extremely clean. That is the best I have to say. I recommend you use caution navigating the hotel room, lobby, and pool area as you never know when a piece of metal, tile or wood will catch you unaware.

The friendly staff made it worth while! They all had a GREAT sense of humour and made you feel welcomed. I thought the free breakfast had a great selection! The downfall...prices seemed a bit steep, it needs maintenence updates, and the WiFi was terrible. I would stay here again, ONLY if I go back to Gaitlinburg...but I won't, Gatlinburg is way out of my price range.

Okay, the staff is as friendly as ever, the room was clean as always but the hotel is really starting to show it's age. I love the location and the staff but it might be time to pay a little more and try someplace a bit newer until this one goes through a complete makeover.

Staff was awesome; Kat, Chuck, Stanley. They were very helpful and friendly. The room was clean and comfortable. Had an issue with the shower which they quickly tried to rectify. The location is great. It's far enough from town that you're not dealing with the hundreds of people and noise since it's such a touristy place. I was skeptical of staying here because of mixed reviews but was pleasantly surprised by this hotel. We got two rooms on groupon so I was scared of what we were getting into. Check in was easy and the front desk clerk friendly. We had adjoining rooms and were pleased at the condition of the room. I decided to book through groupon as a means of planning an inexpensive getaway for my family. Overall, I enjoyed my visit. The front desk was very pleasant and courteous. The breakfast was an average complimentary course to tie you over until lunch. We went here through a groupon and had no issues with check in. The parking was a bit tricky with all the columns in the lot, but the room was large, the bed was soft, and I loved the balcony. All employees were friendly and helpful. My only negative comments would be to heat up the biscuits they serve at breakfast and there was not anywhere close to enough seating in the breakfast area.

The hotel was an older hotel. Our room was very clean and all furniture had been updated. Got a great deal through groupon. We did have two problems. When we returned to hotel at 11 pm, there were not any spaces in the area we were told to park. The breakfast was good but lobby is very small. There was not enough room for us to eat, only room for about 15 people. We ended up taking our breakfast back to room.

Our shower curtain rod was barely hanging by one screw on each end and the curve of the rod was hanging down instead of outward from the tub, causing the curtain to completely slide to the middle. They did not make our beds the one night, they never were timely, did the bare minimum when they did clean. We had 3 rooms for a large family vacation. You could definitely tell the rooms were much older. All of us were itchy after staying there for two nights. Not sure if its the detergent they use or what, but it was not pleasant. My biggest complaint is probably the pool. Especially the kids pool. It had this weird slimy film on the top. I was scared to let my niece swim in it. Which frustrated her because she is only 2 and prefers to play in the shallow waters. The employees seemed nice though.

The worst hotel stay we've ever had. The room was small, old, worn, and dirty. Does not face the river as many reviews say ... it faced the street with all the noise that implies. The Days Inn Gatlinburg on the River is a nicer Days Inn than most. Very friendly staff along with adequate breakfast area & food selection. Priced about right for the hotel & area. However, the river right in front of the hotel while scenic does not mask the noise from the highway directly across from the hotel & river. Seems quiet during the evenings as traffic tends to slow but traffic sound is noticeable in mornings when the days starts.
