My husband and I celebrated our vow renewal wedding here on NYE 2016. We stayed 2 nights (Friday and Saturday) and were using the hotel‚??s ballroom for the reception to our wedding on 12/31. Overall, the experience was amazing! We had some issues with our room the first night, but after talking with Andrew, everything was corrected and fixed for the second night. Robin went above and beyond helping me to plan this event. She was very responsive to all of my questions throughout the planning pro... Read more

We have stayed at this hotel at least once a year for more than 12 years. First on our honeymoon and then every January since, except 2016. We have always enjoyed our stay and the hotel. This time was very different! I called a couple of days before to see if we could have a congratulatory message on the marquee. The first lady I spoke with was rude, sighing loudly after I told her we already had reservations. She told me she would ask the manager. I was told to call back Thursday to be su... Read more

This was our first time staying at this Clarion. The location is at the end of the strip, almost to traffic light #10. We had a city view with a balcony. This was not ideal because we like to leave the balcony door open for air. At night we could hear the people on the street yelling and cussing. We could also hear all the loud trucks and cars with the radios blaring. The room itself is tight (small) especially for more than two people. You do get a free breakfast but there are much bette... I'm sure this was a nice place once and could be again but currently it's in desperate need of refurbishment. The wallpaper was peeling in our room. There were mildew stains around the outside of the tub. The air/heat unit needs to be updated and thermostats added. Currently you can cut cool on or heat, high or low and have to get up and cut it off when you decide it's too hot or cold. I will say that the service was great. The complementary breakfast was very good as well. I hate giving a low r... Read more

This was our first trip back to Gatlinburg in several years and also our first trip back since the wildfires in November. The hotel was very clean, the room was nice and the beds were very comfortable. We had a great view of the Parkway. The staff was attentive and helpful. We were disappointed that the indoor pool was not working. This was due to the damage from the wildfires, which could not be helped. The only negative thing about the Clarion is that the breakfast was not good at all. ... Read more

My family went to Gatlinburg for the first time. We stayed at a little place that was on the river. Its called something else now, cant remember it. But it was nice. The last two nights we chose to go here and it was great.. We had a room on the road on the six floor. The view was nice and we reall enjoyed the stay.

Stayed here in Oct, 2016. We go to Gatlinburg in Oct every year for a few days. First time staying at the Clarion. Chose it for the location on the Parkway. Spacious room with a fireplace and Jacuzzi but in need of a makeover.

I was with the football team that the previous poster was complaining about. Our players had a 10:00 curfew every night and the parents made sure they were in bed, so I don't know what they were talking about. It's hard to cater to a large group and the staff of The Clarion did an excellent job. They were always friendly and welcoming to our group. We arranged for a hospitality room for parents to hang out in and for the team to meet in. The room had its own bathrooms as well as plenty of space ... Read more

This was our second and last stay here. We arrived on Saturday Nov 19th for six nights. There was lots of kids there with there parents. Neither the hotel or the parents tried to keep the kids under control. They ran the halls screaming, slamming doors, etc. This went on the first night. It stopped around 11pm. The kids were with several football teams staying there. Then about Wednesday more kids showed up. Same thing. I called hotel security several times but they didn't do much. This second b...
