I stayed in a Hilton Honors room on the fourth floor. King bed slept so well. Lots of pillows too. Desk and chaise made it comfortable to move around. Larger bathroom with overhead shower head is nice to use. My favorite thing other than those things is the open stairway to the first floor entrance. You will want to take the stairs with the windows and carpet instead of an enclosed industrial looking stairwell usually found in hotels. I stayed at the Doubletree Hotel on Mockingbird Lane in Johnson City over Memorial Day weekend. The folks at the Doubletree really go out of their way to be friendly and put their hotel guests first. Chris F. is an exceptional young man who knows what customer service and satisfaction is all about. His actions are such a wonderful representation for the Hilton brand. This is an older property that could use a facelift, but the staff was very nice. We chose this stop because it was pet-friendly, which it certainly is. The room was large and clean but we could hear everything going on in the room next to us. The executive lounge area was small and crowded.

We moved to this hotel after being very unhappy about our previous place. This is an older hotel but the staff were helpful and the rooms were clean and spacious. The location is great being across from a mall there were plenty of food options around. I have stayed at a lot of hotels over the years so am quite picky when it comes to where I stay. If staying in this area again I wouldnt hesitate to book the Doubletree again. Good value for the price.

I travel to Johnson City for work and I always stay at this hotel. I like the charm of the hotel and its location. There are several restaurants nearby that are walking distance, but they also have a onsite burger bar that has delicious food and rewards guests with 500 hhonors points if you spend $25 or more. One thing that could use updating is the gym. It is really small and somewhat of a hazard if more than 2 people are in there. Overall, I think the hotel provides a good value, the beds are ... This is a very old property although to be fair the rooms and other "guts" have been updated. Rooms are quite small and bathrooms smaller so but it is neat and clean and probably the best nights stay in town as well as being the only property that accepts pets in the area. Traveling part of a group we were assured we had a 'block' of rooms to arrive and realize we were indeed all scattered across various floors of the hotel. Additionally, the food available was OUTRAGEOUS and the normal/general amenities 'continental breakfast (minimum)' were not provided. The rooms smell like animals with barking dogs all over. The smell of a smoker in the rooms would have been less noticeable.

A colleague and I stayed in this hotel on July 27, 2016. I was in room number 135.
