This resort is really nice, in a great location. We went on a "special offer" 3 days/2 nights we purchased. The offer included a commitment for a "90 min timeshare presentation" which ended up being 3 hours of extreme high pressure sales. If you're in the market for a timeshare, this is a nice resort in a nice area, but for us the extreme sales tactics has us out of the market for any future time share pitches/"specials".

Wow. This place is off the chart. Staff is ridiculously helpful and friendly, without exception. Room was large, clean, well furnished. Infinity pool, hot tub, great fitness room, mini-golf, arcade room, chess, checkers, free lemonade and popcorn in the lobby in the evenings. They did try to get us to go to a 90 minute timeshare presentation in exchange for a discount, but all we had to do was say "no". Resort is a short drive from Gatlinburg and right off the bypass directly to the park.

We own two weeks at this resort and love it for being in the Smokies and close to the Cherokee National Forest with great trails and activities. The Major problems is PARKING even worst if your handicapped. They will also try to sell which is normal but some work really hard on you to get you to buy to the point your ready to get up and walk out, they put lot of pressure on you. They are still building units and not parking.

Came here two years ago and sat through an excruciatingly long and brutal timeshare presentation. What tactics these people use to get you to purchase!! Nevertheless I liked the location, amenities, and the cabins so I agreed to "lock-in" the rate, pay a monthly fee for a mini-vacation and come back. Hence I came back...and endured yet another 3 hour timeshare meeting. Not as brutal as the 1st time but persevered the high-pressure sales tactics...after 3hrs NOT 90 minutes!!! and 4 different off... Read more

The room is nice but it's too hot to sleep. The airco works by van but it gets hotter by the minute. They didn't tell us that we need to pay for wifi. It's about 12 dollars a day, tax incl. We went to the reception to tell them we didn't want wifi anymore because we're hardly in the room, except at night, but no refund but just an apology. We've been touring 2 weeks now and wifi was always free. You also need to pay for the inside pool. The area is great and the staff very friendly. I'm du... Read more

Our family just returned from our yearly vacation. This year we chose the Smokys in TN. Westagate was were we stayed. We could not be more happy with the accommodations and services. Our combine Cabin/Villa was exquisite. Comfortable, clean and the view was magnificent. We will surely use this place again. I must allert though, that their little general store is supper pricey, so when you visit make sure to bring your own groceries or drive 15 minutes to the next town.

The room was really nice but I booked on trivago and no where did it say that the water parks was an extra charge. Plus you had to pay for the Wifi. You could do a 90 minute tour and get into the water park for free plus the free wifi. We have a 4 month old and a 90 minute tour was impossible to do.

I was there on a tour for a timeshare. The property is huge and has to so much to offer. During our meeting with sales, a wonderful and funny young make came up and occupied my children. I believe his name tag said BJ. He colored and did a magic card trick and he was so courteous and kind. My kids gave him a big hug when we left. He is awesome!!! Such a wonderful young man.

Westgate Smoky Mountain was by far the nicest, most accommodating place we've ever stayed. Our concierge, Jim, made sure our stay was perfect. This resort has a full indoor water park, arcade, three pools, markets and 3 restaurants. The view is breathtaking and by the middle of our stay, staff recognized us daily and made it a point to entertain our kids. The restaurant and bar staff remembered what we liked, and went out of their way to serve us.

The say a shuttle will pick you up and take you to the activities, but, that only happened once during our stay, every other time no one ever came. We stayed at Westgate over the July 4th weekend, which I've heard is one of the busiest times. We had an amazing experience and will definitely go back. To top it off, both of our small children brought their special stuffed dogs on the trip. It was a very nice place to stay, however we were supposed to check in on a Saturday, got there, and they didn't have our reservation in their system. We had to wait until Sunday to check in and then had to leave a day early because we had planned a Saturday to Saturday vacation and had to work the net day.
