We booked this hotel bc it is where we were holding my daughters wedding reception. We stayed 5 days. Around 35 family members also stayed here. Not one glitch or bump in the road. The pool was great for the kiddos to enjoy. The outside fire pits were awesome for evening gatherings to catch up with our family. The trolley into Gatlinburg picked us up right outside the front doors. Beautiful hotel with spectacular views. Service and food was impeccable. If I could give ten stars I would.

Beautiful hotel, but this review is mixed for several reasons. Admittedly, we were there during spring break, and the hotel was pretty full, but here they are: (1) They don't have enough staff on duty at the front desk. You can ring and ring and ring and the phone will never be answered. I called before going to get some questions answered, and I later called from my room. It takes several attempts to get an answer. Also, the check-in line/help line at the front desk is often very, very lon... Read more

The hotel has nice grounds. It reminds me of an older Hampton that needs updated. I can deal with the condition for the price and the fact it is not downtown. The issue I have is with the lack of service in general from the hotel counter to the bar. I have had better service at Quality Inns.

It looked and sounded, better than it really was for my experience. Wasn't horrible, but could have been better for the money. However, must the Staff there was very helpful and nice. Restaurant there could use a little help when it comes to seating folks. I never did eat there. Took WAY TOO LONG to "be seated". I was asked about what level I would like my room. I picked highest, good thing I did we got a 2nd floor room out of 15 floors. Lol. Like I said " not horrible, but could have been bette... Read more

I've been going to this hotel for 8 years, it's by far my favorite hotel in downtown Gatlinburg. Beautiful location, great Resteraunt, swimming pool is fabulous! But my favorite part is the majestic beauty of the mountains and sitting under their shelter house in the rocking chairs.

We stayed for two nights and chose the "bed and breakfast" option. OVERALL: I feel like this hotel has elements that are nice and updated but overall is outdated and a little grimy. FOOD: The breakfast buffet was edible but really not fabulous (I wouldn't have returned if we did not already pay for it!). We ordered a pizza for dinner and I had trouble distinguishing the crust from the cardboard box. ROOM: Each room offers a private balcony but it was very narrow and there was no furniture s... We were upgraded to a room on the 9th floor overlooking the Great Smokey Mountains National Park. It was a truly beautiful view. The location is super convenient to the Park entrance at Sugarlands visitor center just two miles away. The hotel has great parking. The lobby is beautiful and the Firefly bar and lounge is very cozy. The staff were friendly and helpful

Beautiful, quiet hotel with gorgeous mountain views a little removed from the touristy part of Gatlinburg but easily accesible as the trolley stops right out front. Great indoor pool with super slides. Delicious buffet breakfast with made-to-order omelets and waffles, fresh fruit, biscuits, gravy, sausage, bacon and more. Very comfy beds and scrupulously clean room. Nice bar with fire pit on patio.

Came to Gatlinburg for the synchronous fireflies... fabulous experience! Impressed with the hotel, great service, good food (great breakfast buffet), delightful to see how much fun the kids were having in the indoor pool with all the slides, hot tubs, etc. Hotel is a bit worn, needs a little sprucing up. The inside of the hotel is drab and has a sort of 'prison' vibe with the holes in the interior walls where they lifted the pre-cast panels into place. And don't be fooled by the 'mountain vi... This was our 1st rune to Gatlingburg. The hotel is in a good location, good views, and offers a convenient shuttle with a low fare of $0.50/person each way. The hotel is older, yet had been recently updated in some areas. Rooms were nice and clean- 2 king beds, which was great!!! Air conditioner is very loud in room. Our kids really enjoyed the pool and waterslides. The workout room could use some updated equipment, most of it didn't work properly. We ate breakfast here in the morning, ... Read more

This hotel is our favorite place to stay for our annual trip to the Great Smokey Mountains. The restaurant is great, staff is very friendly and accommodating, my children love the heated indoor pool and waterslides on a cold snowy day and upon checking in the fresh baked cookies are tasty. It's very clean and has gorgeous views of the mountains and city. We are always treated like family by the staff and never want to leave. ??????????

This is an OK hotel with a potential to be much better. The check-in was slow and inefficient. We were given no choice of rooms. This is important because the view from the hotel is wonderful. Recommend 4th floor or higher. The hotel is away from the main drag which is nice because there were hoards of people in town. Did not eat there, but did ask waiter about box lunch for picnic and was blown off. Some furniture in room had split upholstery (arm of sofa). Bed good. TV and shower work... Read more

Honestly it's not the most beautiful Hilton I have stayed at but it is clean, good amount of amenities, friendly staff, good food. Every room has a breath taking view. A bit away from the hustle and bustle which is nice so you can enjoy the views. It's less then 10 minutes from downtown and you are in the outskirts of the national park.

Recently visited this property and it was and average hotel, with average rooms. The bathrooms were tiny, and the air conditioners leaked water all over the balcony so you couldn't go outside to enjoy. The hotel is built in a huge circle which was beat, and it the interior was open to the ceiling. The bar was nicely stocked and the meeting rooms were adequate. We stay at lot of Hampton Inns and Hiltons in general. This hotel is in a great spot at the top of a hill overlooking Gatlinburg. We arrived around 11 pm. Upon arrival it took around 5-10 minutes of waiting for someone to help us check in. After checking in, we went up to our room, only to have the room key not work. Hotel was pleasant but rooms need updated, carpet was old and worn. In room dining was terrible. Took forever to get the food and it was nasty. I would stay here again but don't order room service. Mountain Views from the room were awesome but no chairs on the balcony to sit in was odd. Hotel sits atop a hill and it has a super steep driveway pretty much impossible to bike up and will destroy your legs to walk up. This was our first stay here. Overall, we were pleased and would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others. Like others have written, the driveway is insanely steep but worth it. Rooms have 2 king instead of 2 queens. Very comfortable beds. Bathroom a little small. Elevators open to see inner circle of the hotel. Had dinner at the grill. Great food. Would stay here again. They warn you about the incline of the road leading to the hotel it was a little scary when we first went up but we used the trolley service to go to town and they had no problems with the road.

The Park Vista is a very nice hotel situated high above the "main strip" of stores. You can't walk but there is a trolley to take you back and forth that comes every 30 minutes. We asked for one of the highest rooms because we were hoping to be able to sit on the balcony but there are no chairs and you have to stand to see over the huge wall. It wasn't worth the extra money. We also got here before 4 hoping to check in and relax(along with a good bit of other people) but we all stood waiting by ... Read more

Great customer service beginning at check in and the fresh baked cookies. The rooms were clean and had plenty of space. My family held a family reunion there. The staff were on hand to assist us with anything we needed to make our event happen with no issues. Even though the trolley was inexpensive, there was no air conditioning that made for miserable ride in 90+ heat. The driver wasn't too friendly either explaining that you have to take multiple shuttles to get to certain locations. I woul... Read more

Decent hotel, but it's a good distance from downtown area. That can actually be a good thing as downtown Gatlinburg is very congested and pretty tacky. They do run a shuttle to downtown which allows you to avoid paying $10 everytime you go out for a meal in town. Hotel staff was friendly and the restaurant had a good hot and cold buffet breakfast for a reasonable price (with omlets made to order). Bedding was comfortable and the rooms were good size. No sitting area in the Double-Double rooms... Read more

My family enjoyed our stay in July. The staff was courteous. We enjoyed the views from our 6th floor room. In this hotel, the higher the better!? Great pool area. This location is also close to attractions and had trolleys running at very convenient times. Overall we had a great stay.

The Park Vista is a large, accommodating hotel sitting high above Gatlinburg. This means great views but there is nothing within walking distance. This wasn't a deal breaker for us as we had our own vehicle. There is the trolley/bus service that is 50 cents per person per ride or $2 for all day pass. We only used the trolley once and found it too crowded and too slow. It was almost an hour back to hotel in return trip. I don't care to waste that much time. Parking in town is reasonable and ... The staff there are so helpful , anytime we called the front desk for a question or perhaps something we may need they were very helpful. The staff came up right away to assist us with whatever we needed. The hotel is beautiful and the views are breathtaking. They have checker board tables in the lobby to play checkers. Just ask the front desk for the bag of checkers. The breakfast is delicious. We had a wonderful time and can't wait to come back. Take the red trolley down and to come up take... Read more

This hotel was wonderful. It is off the main road, but you can ride the trolley downtown for $.50. We had the family suite which was great if you have more than 2 kids. The kids loved the pool and waterslide. The adults loved the outdoor sitting areas. It has a bar and restaurant and they both were good and reasonably priced for the convenience.

Highly recommend eating lightly in Saturday evening, to save room for the Sunday brunch. We've been going here on the Sunday before we leave town and it's never failed to impress us. It is definately quality over quantity. The Christmas brunch was our Christmas gift to our family and will repeat it with family whenever possible. You'll be sad you didn't discover this before now.

From check in to check out it wasn't what we were accustomed to with Hilton properties. A manager checked us in and didn't acknowledge our honor status and we didn't receive a hilton honors bag until we went back to confirm our account was linked with our reservation. Our first day housekeeping didn't get to our room until 5 pm. Although the housekeeping staff was courteous, the sheets and towels were stained. There was mold in the shower head and on the tiles in the shower. The pool was fun but... Read more

I stayed at this hotel for a conference. The hotel lobby is very nice, with several seating areas, free computer access, and a bar. The room was very clean and the view of the mountains was the best part of my stay. The only thing i have to complain about is that the tiles in the shower were moldy. Which I was surprised by since the hotel room was so clean. Other than that, excellent stay.

This hotel has a very friendly staff, great views, wonderful breakfast buffet and is away from the madness of town. We took the shuttle to town and rode the tram but found the crowds overwhelming. Returning to this quiet oasis was wonderful. I love the Craftsman style of lobby and the live keyboard music made us feel welcome. We had fun on the water slide too.

Perfect hotel when visiting Gatlinburg. Sits atop its own perch so you feel like you are in the mountain with stunning views. The hotel is beautiful and the rooms are very spacious. Visited with family, 2 adults and 2 children (12 and 7) and my children loved the indoor pool with water slides. After long days seeing the sites, they loved swimming and sliding until pool closing at midnight. We stayed on 8th floor. Though we booked a lower floor room (1-7 floor), we opted-in for upgrade to higher floor as Hhonors member, which costed only $10/night extra. Normally these rooms have a $30/night premium if you book them directly. Photo's below were taken from our balcony. We stayed in room 804, which gives you both mountain and city view. Breakfast was better than average, you can have eggs baked on the spot and they have several choices of warm food. We had a room with two king beds, ... Read more

I will begin by saying that the views are spectacular. I loved sitting out front and relaxing in the beautiful surroundings. However, the hotel itself is very dated. My bathroom tub really needed some help. The rooms are spacious and comfy. The food at the restaurant was good. But, service was slow. This hotel was older but has been renovated. The hotel is clean and the beds were really comfortable. The location was excellent on the top of a hill with excellent views. Internet is crazy slow. 1995 called and said "You've got mail"! It's dial-up slow! The one restaurant (they claim two, but really just one) has just a so-so menu, but with the standard high prices for a hotel restaurant. We never ate there. Went out all the time. Very steep driveway. Every time you come or leave it's a pretty steep incline you'll have to navigate. We were on the 13th floor with a beautiful view of the smokey mountains. Absolutely stunning! Great location off the beaten path. It was quite a drive up a very windy road to the hotel. Mountain view balconies are awesome. Good breakfast. The lobby had a rustic and comfortable atmosphere. It's been several years since I have stayed at Park Vista. Service for the most part is up to par, however housekeeping left something to be desired. We've been going to this hotel for the past 12 years, and while it's always been good, I'll have to admit... it has gone slightly downhill. Check-in was slower than usual, and we couldn't get into our room until sometime after 3:30. Fortunately, we didn't have to wait until 7 like some people have said in the more recent reviews. This hotel was by far one of the best hotels my family and I have stayed in for family vacations. The staff was friendly and provided great service from arrival to checkout. Here on business and from what I gather this hotel has gone through a major renovation. The rooms section of the hotel is circular. You have a huge expanse of windows and a great view. I have spent a little time everyday just standing on the balcony taking in the spectacular views. The furniture is very nice and the room size is quite large.
