I stayed here in september 2016 for 5 days. Its a basic hotel room but the decor is very datedand its obvious that areas of the room and facility need to be repaired. The view out my window was a beautiful of the mountains, gaitlinburg and of a broken empty that looked someone walked away from repairing. There was loud music till around 1am. The location of the hotel room was great and driving and parking in gaitlinburg are a pain so we walked to most places. Definitely hit crockett's breakfast... Read more

We've stayed here four times. We get the king room with the river view. Rooms are always very clean. Beds are comfortable. Curtain keeps the light out so we can sleep late if we want too. Great location. We park our car and walk to the places downtown.

Room was very clean, staff was friendly and we had no trouble checking in or out. Perfect location could walk anywhere in town in less then 10 to 15 minutes! Hills are a bit steep at the top location so if you have a handicap or unable to walk up steep hills you would want to call and request a lower level room! Not the most up to date in decor but it was clean and comfy! Great view of the mountain!

We really enjoyed our stay the only issue was the parking. We were in the 2nd building and unfortunately parking is very tight and was very hard to get into your parking spot and then be able to get out of your car.

The River Terrace is a very large hotel a block away from the craziness of Gatlinburg. It has a restaurant, which we did not eat at. There is a laundry, which is good if you are traveling and need to wash clothing. The town itself is very honky tonk. Candy, souvenirs, barbecue places - typical tourist area outside Great Smoky Mountain National Park

We booked through Hotels.com, I called two days later to confirm with the hotel that they had our reservations for 4 nights New Year, they said yes and that they also had my parents reservation. After driving all day to get there room was gone and only king available, they suggested putting our teenager on the floor on a pallet or if we brought an air-mattress she could use that. We had to drive back home, because everything was booked.

These people lie, give poor customer service, and basically ruined our stay in Gatlinburg on what was our final trip in our lifetime due to health issues. I made reservations for THREE rooms nearly 3 months in advance. Our room had a nasty looking tub (stained gray/black), the toilet ran constantly, we could not control the heat, and the tub would not drain...nasty! We could only get ice by getting in our car and driving to the office, as our room was at the further most point on the property... Read more

We booked a trip for New Years and decided to stay here not really for sure what to expect! I had read some good and bad reviews but always try to keep an open mind for myself! The good parts, it's very close to everything so you don't have to worry about parking and traffic. You can walk to everything! The rooms were pleasantly clean with a mini fridge, microwave, coffee, desk and chairs! The bathroom had clean towels and wash rags with shampoo, conditioner, lotion, etc and house keepin... For the near destruction it almost suffered they did a good job getting the smell out of rooms. Kept our reservations though fire was two weeks prior. Rooms were very clean and free of odor though fire came right up to building we were in. Property is a bit dated, lots of details lacking. Not a 5 star resort though lobby area you would think it would be better quality rooms. Good location only a block from main strip. Wifi did not work where we were.

This is an older hotel but relaxing. After all, with everything right there on main street for shopping etc..It is a lot to see and do. Free music and a variety of restaurants of your choice. You will not be in your room much any way. There is a restaurant on the property, it's nice. You can walk or catch a trolley, a couple of bucks not bad, I can't remember the exact cost. Beautiful scenery. The staff is very nice. I look forward to seeing future updates. We will come back again. It's conv... Read more
