This little motel is not fancy by any means, but the quiet location on the edge of town AND the excellent room rate made it all worth it!!! The river running behind it added to the value. The lady who runs it was very, very friendly and hospitable...she even shared one of her super-cool pens with our daughter before providing us with distillery tour hotspots. We enjoyed our stay, and would stay there again!

We wanted a hotel as close to the park as possible, and we are not big fans of crowds. This hotel fit both of those goals. I am a big fan of reasonable (some may say cheap) but not at the loss of a super clean room. This hotel was both reasonable and clean. My gentle ninety year old mother would say the building is "tired," but the rooms were clean and had been redecorated in recent time. The desk clerk made great recommendations for restaurants we could walk to, and we had a very pleasant stay.

We needed an affordable room for our anniversary weekend as we planned a getaway at the last moment and were pleased to find Motel 6. We arrived early for check in but gladly our room was ready and was clean and comfortable. We were located on the back side of the building, except for a bee nest right outside our room, I enjoyed the view and it was very quiet. The lady at the front desk was very nice and seemed to really care. The pool wasn't open yet but we came to see the sites, not swim. It's... Read more

The room was clean and spacious. The gentleman on the front desk was very pleasant and very helpful. The room had a fire place which would make a cozy stay in cold weather. Location was perfect for our needs as our main reason for the stay was access to Smokey NP. The entrance to the park was 5 minutes drive.

$60 for a hotel in Gatlinburg, very close to the park entrance and a short walk from downtown shopping and restaurants. No, it isn't fancy- but the room is good sized, beds were comfy, and reasonably clean. The room could use a little maintenance (our ceiling had a little damage, and our shower knob fell off), but our room had a microwave, mini-fridge, cable, and the desk staff was friendly and helpful. If your looking for a cheap, safe place in Gatlinburg this isn't a bad choice.

When booking a cheap motel I don't have high standards but, I else expect it to be clean. I work in housekeeping my self. The lady in the office was nice. Bed was not that bad but sheets where falling apart seen in some of the other pics I posted on here. Bathroom very unclean pee from last guests around toilet.

Carpet was dirty, sticky, stained. Room had a funky smell. Perimeter of hotel littered. Lots of poison ivy made it difficult to walk dog. Stingy with towels. Proximity to main drag and pet friendly (<25 lbs) were the only appealing features.

Location was very convenient to use downntown facilities. Room was quiet and had a wonderful refreshing sleep. toilet unclean in the nook and cranny. I had a very good refreshing warm bath after long day of hard hiking so that I could get recharged.

Bathroom was so small that you can't sit on the toilet and close the door. A bed, a TV, a chair, and that was all there was in the room. Th back side where we stayed over looked a mass of bushes that lead down to a brook that wasn't eye appealing, Parking was so tight you had to watch hitting the car or truck next to you and you just can't back out to leave you had to go down to the end of the lot and figure a way to turn around to get out. the area is not for a single person to walk around in a... We sought out this place because of how close Motel 6 is to the park. We travel with our dogs and Motel 6 understands this. Kids under 18 and pets stay free. The room was clean and linen was offered every day. The pool is nice size and also very clean. We would love to go back again.

If I could do zero stars I would. Found a bedbug in our room and when we complained about it, they said there was nothing they could do because the manager was not there. We asked for the managers phone number and they refused to give it to us. As we were speaking to the person at the front desk there was a bedbug crawling on the wall. There was blood on our blankets. Very upset that the manager has not gotten in touch with us. We have received no compensation or even a sorry for this. Very horr... Read more

Super pleased with our room. I clean houses for a living and I am very OCD. I have nothing negative to say about our room. Very clean and a large room. This room has laminate flooring. Older hotel but still ok and within walking distance of the strip.

We have stayed at many motel 6 all across this country and this was by far the worse. They offer free WiFi but the WiFi does not reach the rooms and there is 0 cell service in the rooms. Our AC went out during the night making it impossible to sleep and they told us they would be in contact with us so some kind of refund. Well that didn't happen. Oh and plus there was a fight out in the parking lot in the middle if the night. Classy!

This motel is very outdated. The lady that checked us in (not sure of her name) was very nice and helpful. The room we stayed in was big, comfortable bed. I chose this motel because they excepted pets. The area they had to walk pets was the woods. Wasn't impressed. They're are several run down motels around this one that in my opinion need to be bulldozed. We had a nice trip, but definitely wouldn't stay here again. The internet photos were very deceiving. I'd give this motel about a 5.

Staff friendly and helpful. Housekeeping services thorough and effective. Facility somewhat shopworn but everything works OK. - AC, TV, fridge, microwave. Could use table, extra chair and cofeemaker in room. (Coffee available in lobby) Curtains off traverse rod, needs new toilet seat. Water temp in shower vacillates from freezing to scalding but might just be idiosyncrasy of room 134 plumbing. Pool area OK. Reasonable value for price.

I usually don't like to trash a business on social media as it's usually a one-way conversation and not a fair fight. In this instance Motel 6 management has had multiple chances to respond and has not. I booked a room in April of '16 for 5 nights. The price is right and the room is nice enough for the few hours I use it every night. Due to a health issue I had to cancel within 48 hours of my trip. Booking.com notified me that I would incur a $28 fee for the late cancellation as their policy is ... Read more

Sandy at the reception was so friendly and helpful. She made us feel comfortable right off the bat. Initially we were given a smoking room even though I booked a non-smoking one. It was changed back to a non-smoking room without any hassle. The clientele of the hotel may look a bit dodgy, but the hotel itself was great. Huge room, clean facilities, great AC, very reasonable price. And it was only a few minutes walk away from the main thoroughfare of the city. The best thing was, we didn't have t... Read more

In my case, the room was very clean, and the updated laminate floors were a nice change from cheap, sticky carpet found elsewhere. The plumbing was older, but well maintained....(no rusty faucets or drains). The staff was very friendly and helpful. They were knowledgeable of the local scene. Although parking was kind of strange, there's not much room in this tiny town to be able to provide huge parking areas. The bed was comfy, but the pillows were flat. This motel is located down the road from red light 10 on the strip. It looks like a dive motel and is surrounded by even worse dives. The swimming pool was totally green and junk in it. I don't think the fact of it being the end of September will make a difference because this pool hadn't been used in a long time. You could tell. Stayed here in August on a vacation with my dad. I say that this hotel is located in the best part of Gatlinburg because it's at the end of Gatlinburg. Easy access off of the main strip, through one stop light, and right around a corner.
