Mountain Loft is in a great location. There is a grocery store just down the road. The room was fine but due for an upgrade which we were told was planned. We stayed in a one bedroom condo. The staff are polite and helpful. There is so much to do in the area. We had fun hiking. Lots of great places to eat. We will be going back for our family vacation in July. This was our 4th stay there.

My husband and I are here for our anniversary, and we have spent the past three days hiking along with a spattering of Gatlinburg touristy things. That said, there are two things I have issue with here and they make my rating a "1" instead of a "4" or "5." First, as we love hiking, we also love sleeping, usually with a dose of advil for our tired muscles. Sleeping has been difficult. Our first noisy neighbors was a family with small children. This was our second visit to Mountainloft. We stayed in a Phase II 2 BR combined. This unit had the connecting door vs accessing the second unit from the foyer. The unit was clean and had everything we needed. No complaints. We did get a ground level room which at first I was disappointed but we got to be up close and personal with the wild turkeys that appeared outside our back windows. :-). We stayed 2 nights in a 1bdrm deluxe villa (not phase II) and it was clean and everything in working order. Ok, it wasn't brand new but the furnishings were nice and everything looks to be recently painted. The resort has beautiful grounds and spacious lodging options. It's plenty close to town but far enough to get peace/quiet for sleeping. My only regret is that I didn't book us longer!! We stayed here for 2 nights. Very nice accommodation. There were 4 of us and it was a little crowded in a standard 1 bedroom. We were in bldg 5 and there were no real views of the mountains it was a very wooded setting. Just a short 5 minute drive to downtown Gatlinburg. We would definitely stay here again.

Very friendly staff! Loved the view from fourth floor. Saw a bear on the property the very first day! The resort is doing a lot of remodeling, but we were not bothered by it. We stayed for 6 nights. Would definitely stay here again!!

Love the location with a astonishing view of the mountains. Just breath taking! The wife took picture until she ran out of memory. Lol!. Already planning the next bluegreen vacation. Thank x.

Mountain Loft is a lovely property with lots to offer: three pools, hot tub, workout facilities, games to borrow from the front desk, decent views and excellent staff. Unfortunate it has one big problem--the walls between units are paper thin! The family on one side of us had two small children, one of whom cried well into the late evening. On the other side was a family who rose early; we could hear their entire conversations, at normal voice levels-twice that was what woke us at 6:15 a.m. We ... Read more

This was our 2nd time staying here. Easy check-in and check-out. Pools were nice and the resort was fairly quiet with so many people there. It was back off of the "strip", so if you like to get away from all the tourist walking down the strip, this would work. Would stay again if returned

The rooms are here are awesome, and in our fourth stay we are still impressed with the cleanliness and the views! This was the first time for us to stay here during the summer, and the pools were busy. The pool closest to our room was closed for repairs, and I feel like it would have been the least busy option. Check-in was a nightmare, and that is why I only rated as 4 stars. At least 30 people showed up to check-in at 4 PM, and all of us ended up waiting over 30 minutes for our room to be re... Read more

As timeshares go this place is average, but we were there for the local attractions not the resort. The front desk people were nice but the lady issuing the parking pass was also charged with trying to get us to attend the sales presentation and would not take no for an answer. Quite annoying. Didn't see the bears that they warned about, but did see wild turkeys. Nice location but the entrance from the main road is poorly lit and near a/ blind curve making coming and going an adventure.

This is at least our 3rd stay at mountain Loft. We were in an older building this time, it was not as updated as our previous stay, but it was still very nice. We kept the doors propped open with chairs during our trip so we could easily move back and forth between the two sides. Not sure it would have been that enjoyable had another family been renting the other side. You can h... Read more

We are Bluegreen owners, and stayed a few nights at the Pigeon Forge location before our stay at the Gatlinburg location. I wish we had done our whole vacation at the PF one. Pools were ok and that's really all we used outside of our room. Disappointed at the lack of ice machines around the area. Were told we'd have to come to the clubhouse for ice. Our room didn't have a bad appearance, but was disappointing as well. Furniture and kitchen look new, but super small: two people can't be in kitche... Read more

I was very worried about coming here after all the poor reviews. but I took a chance. YES I did request a updated room and also asked for one on the higher level. When I arrived they had exactly what I wanted. The room, (541) we stayed in was very nice. Was there some small dings on the wall or little marks on the carpet . . yes. But the place was clearly updated. See the photos. Important things to me: Pros: AC worked very well. Hot water was really hot and fast to shower. Kitchen had everythin... Read more

I recently stayed here again and was pleasantly surprised! The lobby, and unit in which we stayed had been refurbished since we last visited! Very nice units with modern furniture, carpet, and new color scheme and paint. I'm not sure if they have completed updating all the rooms and townhouses, but I think the majority of them are finished. You may want to call ahead and request an updated unit. This resort is very popular and gets a lot of use, but the staff seems to work hard to keep the uni... Read more

They hard sell you after the presentation even though they say they won't. They lie about savings that don't exist, play with financing numbers like used car salesmen, make it look good but when you think about it later you know it was a scam. The room we were in was terrible, stunk like urine and was run down and nasty. The two free dining cards for $200.00 were 50% deals for places you never heard of that weren't nearby. I would have rather paid for my own accommodations that I selected and kn... Read more

Overall, it was an ok stay. Check in and out was quick and very kind staff. Plenty of space for two in the Deluxe Villa; it was nice to have a kitchen and basic utensils to make meals. The bed was comfortable. I liked all the space in the bathrooms too; lots of towels! The view was lovely on the fourth floor, but we didn't get patio furniture until our last day. Some little things, mainly people who aren't kind to the living space (knicks in walls, stains on carpet,etc.). A little love and atten... Read more

We were very disappointed in the stay, walls were very thin we could here everything above and be side our suite all hours of the night, pools and club house were not close to rooms, very dated accommodations. However staff was very friendly and helpful.

This is a wonderful Bluegreen resort. Built on the side of the mountain, it is not far from town but you feel like you are miles away. Our room was clean and updated and spacious. Loved the fact that we had a full kitchen. Pools were both very clean. Staff at the resort were very friendly. We would definitely go back. Thanks, again, Bluegreen.

We love the chalets here but also nice condos. It's not on the main drag but not too far off either. We have stayed here 3/4 times now and have enjoyed it each time. Only down side is the ever present pressure to get you to endure a sales update/ sales pitch.

Walls are paper thin, you can hear everything going on in the rooms beside you. You can hear people getting up at all hours of the night above you. The pullout couch was terrible to sleep on, my kids preferred the floor. Very out dated rooms. Staff was friendly.

The resort is undergoing some renovations, but it is in a good location and the views are spectacular. We love to base our Smoky Mountain vacations here. Check-in was OK, but unit wasn't ready. They said to have a seat, just needed inspection . . . . One hour later we went to check, because it looked like they got busy and forgot about us. :( The reception area is nice, but no-one likes to wait.

We stayed in a one-bedroom chalet. It was our first chalet visit at this facility. Our first impression was that it felt too tiny to suit us. However, since we spent the majority of our time out of the unit, it turned out to be sized about right for the two of us. They are somewhat older units and could be due a bit of maintenance. However, many of Gatlinburg's hotels, motels, and resorts are in similar condition. We like that it is away from the congestion of the strip in Gatlinburg but is easi... Read more

We were guests of friends who are Blue Green Vacation Club owners. Very nice accommodations, tucked o into the woods, but close to Gatlinburg. We had a lock off studio, with bedroom as the only negative as it was very small.

We always stay in the townhouses....so, I cannot speak to the rest of the rooms, however, the townhouses are outdated. But it's a very nice view, the staff is great, and fits our extended family for the holidays.

Was excited to stay here. Looks beautiful on outside. We had a three bedroom townhouse. Interior was old and tired looking. Furniture scratched and worn, sofa had holes. Upstairs shower leaked through to downstairs, downstairs bathroom plumbing made very loud sounds when showering. We were at a lower level with no view. Not what you would expect when you are a Bluegreen owner.

We're here for a week. Was apprehensive due to all the bad reviews but it's been almost totally remodeled and our room is beautiful. We are very happy with all the amenities and are like inking forward to having our thanksgiving here. They are a little pushy to get you to do their timeshare tour but avoid the heartache and say no.

We are Bluegreen owners and have been here before. Had a fantastic stay in a beautiful suite. Not this time. We were booked into an old suite with a refrigerator that had indentations as if someone had taken a baseball bat to it. Beat up furniture and moldy shower curtain. If we hadn't already unloaded all of our luggage on the second floor and were not so tired, we would have asked for a different room. We saw the construction workers and know many rooms are being updated. A word to the m... Read more

Durning the Gatlinburg Fire our power was off and on no cell phone usage no cable. Called main office to ask what to do they assured us if they evacuated they would go door to door getting people out. We did not go to bed trying to watch and keep up with what was taking place. Feeling assured we would be notified by staff knocking on our door to evacuate if the order came. Daughter called blue green and they assured her everyone had been evacuated 2 hours ago and that was at 8:30 pm. She finally... Read more

We spent a week at the Mountain Loft Resort in Gatlinburg this past July with our family. It was our first visit to the resort and I have to tell you that we LOVED it. Everyone we came in contact with at the resort were friendly, and knowledgeable. Our rooms were beautiful! Very well-appointed, newly remodeled. We could sit on our balcony and watch our kiddos swim in the pool. We had a two room combined, and a single room for our family of 7. It was more than enough room. The grounds are beauti... Read more

we are owners and in 2014 and 2015 we had to pay double in maintenance fee for renovations. We were very upset at the time and had a meeting with the big boss. They explained why not everyone had to pay this extra in fees, but to be honest they are so trained in saying the right things and twisting it in a way you just want to get out of there. Anyway we also own at Westgate, much nicer and just overall better experience. We have rented Mountainloft out in the past, the people were never happy u... Read more

I felt an evacuation was eminent and planned accordingly. I was ready when the hotel staff POUNDED on the door to tell us of the forced evacuation around 10:30. Because we were ready, and since I even had the forethought to back the SUV into the barking space, we were one of the first ones out. I see some saying they had bad experiences with the evacuation, but some of the responsibility relies on yourself I that kind of a situation. You just can't sit back and wait for someone else to do it... Read more

Our family has stayed at Mountain Loft for four or five years now, and we plan a trip to the resort every year when we map out our points for the year. We are very sad to say that this year's trip in July was a huge disappointment. We checked into the townhouse and immediately realized there were problems -- unidentifiable spots on the sofa, fungus our cloudy mold on the sliding glass doors to the point that we couldn't even see out the doors, patio furniture so old that the rattan was crumbli...
