Not sure what to say....the hotel was very easy to get to, great parking for my truck and trailer(not a big rig). Our king room was plenty big. The shower and water pressure was something to be desired. The water didn't get that hot and to get hot water you had to figure it out. (The simple hot and cold lever system was not acurate). Breakfast looked good, but impossible to even sit let alone stand. Too small of an area for a breakfast room, Couldn't even sit in the lobby. So we only got coffee... Read more

This is a nice Holiday Inn with a little Southern Charm. No bells and whistles but clean and friendly enough! We enjoyed our stay. We stayed 3 days in Pigeon Forge and moved here. The mattresses were great. We got some much needed sleep.

This hotel is horrible. It's dirty, it smells like smoke, and it's in disrepair. The paint is peeling off the walls, the carpet is torn, and 50% of our towels had stains. If the towels have stains, they either aren't washing them or someone forgot the bleach. Either one is concerning. Maybe just skip the hotel and pitch a tent out back! ;)

* They allow smoking. While they moved us to a non-smoking floor you can smell it in the elevator and common areas. * The AC was set where you could not set it to be cold and we prefer to sleep in a cooler room. * The noise levels from the hallway and slamming doors was very high. Woke us up every day very early * We had a 3 day stay and they NEVER changed our sheets, even after we requested. As this is not an extended stay property we expect to have our room cleaned daily, including the sh... Read more

Staff was great and very helpful. Rooms were clean and very comfortable. The only reason i give this hotel 1 star instead of 5 is the pos "manager" if thats what you wanna call her. Betsy this so called manager left me and my fiancee with no place to stay. Her employee double charged my card for our stay. I would have to call my bank and give them an authorization number to get my money back. I went to call the 1800 nimber for my bank but it was sunday so as you would figure they were closed. Th... This hotel is not up to the standards of a Holiday Inn Express. In fact, I've stayed at cheap motels that were cleaner! And this was not cheap. I'll add pictures of the bathroom later, but the bathroom was terrible. The mildew smell was super pungent. There was a shoe print in the tub! We opted not to shower and we requested air freshener to help with the smell. We made the mistake of getting ice. I accidentally touched the tray under the bucket...SLIME! The hotel still smells of sm... Read more

We have stayed in lots of Holiday Inn Express hotels, but this one did not measure up to any of the others. Hotel appears to be quite old, with old furnishings, etc. Not very clean. We cancelled our return stay. There are better hotels nearby.

Contrary to the other reviews, we were very, very satisfied. We called about an hour ahead and a very helpful front desk worker had us all set up with a very good price as well. We arrived and the same worker was at the front desk. Again, very plesant and helpful. Our room was very clean as well as comfortable. The included breakfast was good and again we were greeted by another friendly lady working the breakfast area. She was happy and helpful. She also was nice and helpful to our children whi... This place stands out as a bruise to the HIE chain. This is easily the most rundown looking one I have stayed at. Old room phones with sun bleached paper containing hotel info, wall sockets coming off the wall, desk lamp at eye level or lower rendering it useless when sitting at the desk, warn down leather on chair in corner, thin walls and doors that allow noise right on in, especially if you have a "party door" you will for sure hear your neighbors. The TV is flatscreen and quite large for a h... Read more

When we first arrived the 2 "security" doors in the back were open. They were broken and could not be fully locked. The elevator and hallways smelled of old smoke and were musty. Our room was cleanish, but in disrepair. The tv and remote would not work, but after 3 calls, Kelly cheerfully came to fix it. Our 2 queen beds did nit match. One was a tall fluffy pillowtop. The other sat low to the floor, was sagging, and the mattress was a full 4 inches thinner than the other. The springs crea... Read more

This is the same comments I left with the person at the front desk as we left. She did offer us her floor fan. This was our first time staying at a Holiday Inn Express, we might of choice the wrong Inn for our first stay, all of them can't be this bad. Check in took quit a bit of time, because just to chck us in the person at the desk had to check us in one style of room to get that rate, then back out of that then type in another style of room to get that rate. Way over-priced for quality of the room. Although the room was a non-smoking room it was on the third floor which has smoking rooms. The hallway as well as my non-smoking room smelled of cigarette smoke. Though I reported that the smoke alarm was missing from my room, the staff did not seemed concerned. I think a fire marshal would make them take the room out of service. The tub was stained and filthy, but then again, the staff couldn't help with that either. Speaks poorly of the franchisee as w... This is not up to Holiday in standards whatsoever. The halls smelled heavily of smoke and so did the elevator. The A/C in the room was so horrific, that they had a fan that sits on the floor to help with the sweating agony. Their toilet had black marks on the inside of the bowl. A Bobby pin was left on the nightstand. The bathroom needed a new shower curtain. The bathtub needed a scrub down. It stayed 80 degrees in the room all night. Even though I set the A/C to 65 degrees. Very firm mattresses... Read more

Keep driving to another exit! I would not stay here again. The staff was helpful and kind but the rest of the place needs work. I saw a sign that said they would be remodeling in August -I hope they also clean. My room was on the 2nd floor close to a heavy door that would slam everytime someone used it, the hallway smelled weird, my bathroom floor had stray hairs in the corners, there was a huge crack in the window, trim was falling off the wall and I wouldn't walk without shoes on my carpet. When you first walk in you can tell that this hotel was nice when it was built. Seeing signs that they are doing a full remodel is clear that they want to keep it updated. Knowing that it is older and yet so clean you can tell it has been well taken care of. I would recommend staying here, especially now that they care enough to keep putting money into this facility. We stay at a lot of places and prefer a clean place to sleep over anything, and you can tell this place will take care of you.

We stayed in a standard room and pleasantly surprised by the size of the room. It really didn't seem much different all, just saved us some money. The beds were very comfortable as well! There was a mini fridge, small keurig coffee maker and microwave in the room. The location is just beginning a major renovation. Should be awesome when its done!

We stay here each year on our way to Folly Beach,SC. This is the best half way point. We have seen it at its worst. The breakfast has always been poor but I think that is due to the staff. The breakfast staff has been withdrawn and shows an attitude of complacency. The rooms are at best adequate. The night staff have not been professional at all. The day staff have been super at the front desk. I'll try it again next year, after the remodel but until they get good staff it will always be less th... Read more

When we pulled up to the hotel it was almost like there was no one around. That was the first red flag we got. Once we got in and started talking to the lady at the front desk she told us that the wifi was down (she said it was from the storm) which I assumed she meant the hurricane on the coast because I didn't see a storm anywhere. Yet I don't see how the hurricane could affect wifi in Tennessee. ??? We got into the elevator.. the inside was covered with duct tape and foil and it made loud no... Read more

We are staying at this hotel and I'm not sure if I should be here. They are renovating it and the smell is awful. They said our room is completely done but the number to our room is penciled on the wall (no wallpaper or paint has been done in the hallway). There is a blow dryer in the bathroom that is just sitting there haphazardly. This floor should not be occupied. Go find another hotel

Please DO NOT stay at this hotel. It is not worth it. I have stayed at many many IHG properties (Holiday Inn Express, Crowne Plaza, Candlewood Suites, Staybridge Suites, etc.) and this is the worst one I've EVER stayed in. I booked a room at this hotel for 5 nights when my family had to evacuate from Hurricane Matthew. It said it was pet friendly. Upon arrival we were informed that they were pet friendly but not for cats. We had 2 cats with us. I'm not sure why cats are worse than any other animal but, we were left with nowhere to go and had to scramble to find an open hotel room.

This hotel is under complete renovation so not all rooms are available. However, the staff--especially Jessica--will make whatever accommodations they can to assist you. Jessica was absolutely terrific in adjusting room accommodations when we didn't have reservations as we couldn't find anything farther south due to hurricane evacuations from the east coast. Good breakfast and the room was comfortable. No complaints. Wish we could go back to see the finished project.

Being contractors, we have an appreciation of the delicate balance of getting work done and maintaining occupancy. The site was not safe, tiles were missing in the entry making a very uneven walking area, materials were left out, pipes exposed, and electrical outlets exposed. There seemed to be no rhyme or reason as to what was being done and when. While our room was updated and nice, I can not say the same for the rest of the facility. Construction is one thing, have the hallways being used as storage areas for the construction items as well as multiple carts with food and supplies for the breakfast area, and new appliances is not acceptable. They are under construction and remodeling. The room was clean enough but there was no extra toilet paper and we didn't notice it till the middle of the night. Also no Kleenex in the rooms. There was no hot water in the coffee area when we arrived or cammomile tea. The next am at breakfast, there was no coffee creamers. They said they had run out. It was not worth the $120 we paid. There sign in the lobby had a comment "deal with their construction".
