My wife and I are accustomed to good service when we stay at a Microtel. This visit was a bit disappointing and a little frightening. Upon checkin, we began walking to our room. A guest opened the door and stepped out of her room. It was 6:00 p.m. and she was just awaking from sleep. The woman was quite large and scantily clad. She gave my wife and me the impression that she was a "working girl." It was an embarrassing and disconcerting moment of awareness. At 2:00 a.m. we were awakened... Read more

Good - next to Costco. Bad - noisy. Road construction and new Ikea being built. Bathroom had toothpaste on wall, loose faucet and toilet ran.

The motel was clean. I left my memory foam pillow there, called the next day and they said it wasn't there. Other than that it's a good motel for a short stay.

This is the best hotel in town clean with very friendly staff and in a good part of town. I stay at this hotel every time I'm in the Memphis area, and I recommend it very much. It is priced right for business and if you are here on a vacation.

The predominant vibe from this well-located property is heavy use. Although the room was clean and the decor appeared updated, the bathroom in particular felt a little shabby. Why can't the maintenance staff patch holes in the walls, or missing grout? What were the circumstances that led to one piece of bathroom tile sticking out a quarter inch from the corner when the tile setter could have easily trimmed it flush as he did for all the other pieces? Why does the shower rod seem like it's hangin... Read more

Clean, comfortable and efficient, as always. My husband is in the higher end hotel business and marvels at how well these rooms are planned. I wish I could have spent more time there.

The room was apparently nonsmoking but it reaked of cigarette smoke.. The bathroom was dirty and the couch had a cigarette burn in it! Really?! We could've spent the same amount of $ somewhere else on something much nicer. I don't recommend this hotel.

The room and hotel were clean. The only issue I had was the maid turns off the air conditioner when she cleans the room and when it is 100 degress in Memphis, you end up with a miserable hot room when you get back after your day. They should train the maids, not to turn off the AC in the summer if I guest is not checking out.

Tried to check into this hotel on June 16. Elder gentleman in front of me was trying to explain to the desk clerk he had made a reservation and she continued to argue with him and being rude instead of just going ahead and offering him a room - which was available. Couldn't understand her logic Anyway, after standing there for several minutes and observing the rude behavior of the desk clerk, decided to go next door to the Comfort Suites. The desk clerk there was attentive, helpful, respectful ... Read more

We've stayed here a number of times over the years, have never been disappointed. We had a handicap accessible room this time by request. It was roomy, had a microwave, fridge, grab bars in the shower and a tub bench was available. My only complaints are the horrible coffee and the unchanged trashbag in the bathroom. It had been dumped but not changed and there was a piece of gum stuck to it. Beds are somewhat hard but had excellant pillows this time.

I would like to give a special thanks to the receptionist named Monica . She went out of her way to accommodate every need we had . With great customer service & a smiling face was all we needed . The rooms were up to date . Tv was a bit high . The AC was not working in the first room we checked into but Monica handle that in a very fast pace changed our rooms & gave us a 10% discount for the trouble . My wife & I will definitely stop at this microtel again . Thank you for everything .

Hmm... Where to start... Waited at the desk for the clerk to finish smoking outside to check us in. (First red flag). I was already questioning my judgement of this hotel by the atmosphere. But was trying to think positively. When we got to the room, ..Huh hmm excuse me....the suite around 9:30 pm, the room was VERY hot. Turned the air on. It ran all night without cooling the room. Too hot to sleep. The clerk said "it will just take a min to cool off" (after an hour). The bed was hard. ... Read more

Traveling and had to change my plans. This was a late night last minute stay. Every other option was booked. Firstly it was difficult to find on a dark night. It is behind a shopping mall and signage is terrible. The hallways smelled of smoking. The room was worn. Carpet did not look clean. Cushions had rips. Would drive further than stay here again. First time in this chain and likely my last as it gave me a bad first impression

Front desk was friendly and I had an easy check in. I stayed a few nights and housekeeping didn't clean my room during one of my stays. The tables and desk were dusty. The refrigerator had an odor and the sheets and pillows were stained. The towels and linen ALL need to be replaced with new ones.

We picked this hotel because Wyndham name was associated with the name. We thought it would be outstanding but it was not. Plugs for sink and tub did not work properly, light fixtures did not have working bulbs, breakfast selection is meager, no coffee during the day, not even a mint. Towels were so thin and rough and one mattress was old and uncomfortable. On the plus the room was clean and the hotel was quiet.

We love the concept of Microtel. They are inexpensive, clean rooms that are perfect for an overnight stay while you are on the road from point A to B. In May we stayed at the Microtel in Memphis while returning from a trip to North Carolina. As always, they delivered. Also, the lady at the front desk, Donna (I think ?), gave us some amazing and delicious restaurant recommendations that saved us from driving cross town. We will always look for this place on our returns to Memphis.

When you pay about $100 for a room you expect it to at least have a decent bed an a few amenities. The furnishing are pretty Spartan, the breakfast was limited in selection and the bed was absolutely horrid. It was the hardest bed I have encountered in about 20 years. The place was clean though so I am probable giving it a better rating than deserved.

The staff here was fantastic. A wonderful group of people and everyone treated us well. The room was ok. Not the nicest and newest, but workable. The other guests were very concerning. From smoke (of many types) coming from non-smoking rooms, to many cases of beer being downed in the gazebo outside, it didn't feel like a safe or welcoming place in that regard. Location behind the Costco is weird too but the signs are helpful.

The rooms are cheap and the location is convenient. Unfortunately there is a bad odor in the hallways as well as stains all down the hallway carpet. In my room the couch was heavily stained and my comforter had cigarette holes in several places even though I was in a non smoking room. I had it booked for 2 nights but only stayed 1 because of how dirty it was. It is obvious the management is unwilling to spend the money for basis maintenance.

Grimy rooms, nasty floors, horrible furniture, mildew on ceiling and in the bathrooms. Stained mattresses and linen. We changed rooms three times. Sooooo bad we checked out the very next morning. We had reserved three rooms for my family over the Labor Day Holiday weekend. Horrible experience. We actually recorded the Manager spray painting the ceiling to cover up the mold. Even had the nerve to charge us we should be refunded and more.

This is absolutely the dirtiest hotel I have ever stayed in. I would sleep under a bridge rather than stay here again. I was cursed in Hindi by the elderly man and woman who served as housekeepers. We picked it for the price. For what we paid ($71/night), it was adequate. But this hotel has some issues. The room was impeccably clean in almost every respect; I've been in high-rise hotels charging $200 a night with filthy carpets, and this was perfectly clean. Until you went into the bathroom: see photos. It was really surprising, given how nice the rest of the room was, to see such horrible mold and rust across the ceiling. At the time of check in, which happened to be on the night shift, the employee was sitting down behind the desk. She never once greeted us, as most individuals that work with the public.
