The room was spacious and clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. A great value. The place had a newly redone feel. The bed was very comfortable after a long day walking the trails at rock city and other places.

We were treated very nice, everyone was very polite. We asked for a special room and we received it. The hotel is old but it was what we needed. The room was small, but it was clean. Indoor pool was enjoyed by the children, but I think it should has closed earlier. The children were noisy. I do not have anything else to say except it is a good spot for a hotel.

We booked online thru booking.com and upon I asked to see the room just to make sure it was clean and in working order, the man was very upset and offended but finally let me see it and it was nice, clean and newly remodeled. Comfortable bed, fluffy pillows, plenty of towels. The bathroom was tiny and somehow the water from our tub was leaking into the room below, we got a call saying our tub was overflowing and it was about 5 inches from the top and the floor was dry. The pool was a lot older l... Read more

This hotel is right off the highway and very close to numerous attractions. It is located right beside a Cracker Barrel restaurant, nice indoor swimming pool and friendly staff. Easy drive to Lookout Mountain battlefield, Ruby Falls and to the downtown area to see the famous Choo Choo.

Tthe basic The Red Roof Inn on US-11 in Chattanooga is about average and priced right. The staff was friendly and helpful and the rooms clean. Our motorcycle group spent the night here and planned spending several more, but the steep and slanted driveway was difficult to navigate on two wheeled vehicles as well as was most of the parking area. After having one rider fall and others being unsatisfied with the conditions, we moved to another motel with a better entrance and flatter parking. This p... Read more

WE have stayed at other properties, motel chains, & this was by far the best experience. The Exterior is a tad deceiving at first, but the Motels Lobby, Staff, Rooms were beyond my expectations. The Lobby was bright, with Red& White. The Staff was friendly. The Rooms were cleans, & comfortable. Even the bed was wonderful, not like sleeping on a board. The only negative remarks I have is the bathrooms could be a tad bigger, & the parking lot needs repair.

Second time staying on a Reed Roof Inn this week. First in Virginia and last night here in Chattanooga. Great service, clean rooms and dog friendly. We have two dogs, but you pay only for the second one. Green area for the dogs, I just wish people traveling with dogs clean after their pets, but I guess not everybody is a responsible pet owner. Waffle House and Cracker Barrel are walking distance from the motel. Really peaceful and nice place. The beds are really good too.

Room was clean, had to ask about the fridge and coffee maker, 3 things in the same place, for a 2 plug outlet, with microwave there too... fridge has to be on 7 to keep things cold. I had called the hotel when I booked it, since we were not sure exactly how many days we were staying in that area, the young lady was very pleasant and helpful, that we could add extra days so long as we let them know by 11 am of that day we wanted the night for... For a motel, there were quite a lot of choices at breakfast. Only the breakfast room itself was very small, but has probably been enlarged in the meantime. Very nice indoor-pool! Rooms a little small, but very clean. Good starting point to visit Chattanooga and after that you are also quickly back on the highway.

When requesting information prior to booking a room we were told a room was available then when we asked questions we were told to come to the property to ask the questions and then were told we were asking too many questions so a room would no longer be available. If this is the way one might be treated before staying then we are very happy that we did not stay - when a Hotelier is so blatantly RUDE before the stay can you imagine what it might be like for those unfortunate people who actuall... They put us in the back building on the second floor so we had to climb the stairs-no elevator-not fun with the dog. AC ran all night and smelled like mold, luckily I didn't get sick. It was very loud and just didn't feel safe. Breakfast bar was a joke and the coffee tasted like dirty water. Will never stay there again.

Location was great. Minutes away from Lookout Mountain and Ruby Falls. Staff was not friendly or welcoming--it would have been nice to see a smile. Rooms are small and the bathroom is the size of a half bath. Stains on the furniture in the room. Wi Fi did not work. Would not stay here again.

Everything was great, but a crack in the bottom of the door let bugs in. Other than that, great room, tv, bed, bathroom, and breakfast was good. Free newspaper at front desk daily, and extra towels if needed.

Ok, but there is better, for less. They stuck us in a pet friendly, king room, and it smelled like dog, door frame was all clawed up, carpet at door torn to shreds, bathroom evidently had been where the dog had been using the bathroom, it stunk. Won't be back.

We came to Chattanooga with our family and dog to go to Rock City and didn't make reservations ahead of time not knowing it would turn out to such a problem. As mentioned we had our dog with us, which can sometimes be a challenge in finding a room. We either called or stopped at a large number of motels attempting to find one that would accommodate our dog. Finally we came to Red Roof Inn, where the first question we asked upon entering was if they allowed dogs. They said they did, so we got... Read more

We paid about $90/night (w/ tax) so I found there to be value in this hotel. Location was convenient. Pool looked nice, but we didn't get a chance to use it. When we first went to our non-smoking room after check-in, it smelled like smoke. I called the front desk, and the attendant informed me (w/ a little attitude) that it was a non-smoking room, which I acknowledged. I asked if another room was available, which there was. So we switched and the second room, while a little musty, didn't h... Read more

We paid about $90 plus & $20 because we had two dogs. Apparently Red Roof lets you have one dog for free, the second is $20. The check in staff was rude and they do have someone run outside to see who is on your car - whether an extra adult or dog is out there. I did not listen well enough, I guess she asked if I had a dog, I said yes. She asked if I had one dog. Then off goes the other person the check the vehicle. They were cleaning our room at 11:30 a.m. when we arrived. So we had to wait. No... Read more

This place is in great location. Waffle House, Taco Bell, and Cracker Barrel are all within walking distance. There is a gas station across the highway and a Walmart nearby. We stayed in the superior king room. It was a lot smaller than I anticipated, but worked for us since we really only slept and showered there. Mostly clean and we had our room straightened up daily and towels/toilet paper/trash taken out and restocked as needed. The free breakfast was just okay, nothing fancy. Not the best I... Read more

We stayed here two weeks ago, the room was smaller than most of the king rooms we have stayed in at other Red Roof's, but we were comfortable. The bedspreads we threw on the floor for fear of contamination ! The bath had a black ring around it that sorely needs cleaning !! Staff were friendly. Would not recommend !

The room was very clean and inviting. We found the staff helpful and friendly. Was impressed with the hospitality and friendly smile and handed bottles of water after our long trip. Usually this practice is left in the room. I find the simple gestures as these as important. Made me feel like "family" and not just another customer. We made immediate reservations again just from that simple smile and being handed a bottled water.

I'm not a picky person and I don't usually write negative reviews. For the most part, this hotel seems clean. The location is good. There's restaurants within walking distance. Ruby Falls and Rock City are close. I have horrible allergies to cigarette smoke. I attempt to stay at hotels that are 100% non-smoking. I was already a bit discouraged by the awkward parking and having to lug my bags upstairs but when I got to the room, I just wanted to leave. It smelled like the room had been vacant for months and the last person to stay was obviously a smoker. The fridge did not work which made me very sad. Cheap and stinky!!! Even though I had requested a non-smoking room, it still smelled of very stale smoke and a very smelly smokey smell from down the hallway wafted in under the door all night. I had to place a towel under the door, yet that didn't help. Used a whole can of deodorizer spray. That didn't even help. Not a recommended place to stay unless you love this smell!!

For $55/nt it wasn't bad. The room was clean and the staff very nice. Beds are hard, cable tv (Comcast I believe) works on and off and the bathrooms are tiny. Lean breakfast. The indoor heated pool has been great for keeping the kids entertained as there doesn't seem to be much to do in the area in the evenings. Overall, I probably wouldn't stay again but for the price it's not bad. The location is super convenient to everything must people would visit in the area.
