Not our best choice. The staff was not friendly. The rates are reasonable, but the mattress and pillows were hard and uncomfortable, The Air conditioning system could not be regulated, but had only on or off. We would not recommend.

We have stayed in several laquintas and this one was a disappointment. We were traveling from Va to Louisiana and Chattanooga was our halfway point. We made sure we did not stay there again on our way home.

Although the horrible front lobby discourages you from going any further...go. It is really not a bad hotel once you get past the not-so-inviting exterior and the ugly front entrance. In fact, the location is great, the staff is very friendly and the rooms are nice.

Had a room on 2nd floor, outside door was jimmyied so that it opened from the outside(safety violation...anyone could come in this door) which I reported to the front desk, they made a note to tell somebody the next day which left the entire hotel at risk...not acceptable

This property is old and is showing its age, despite having been renovated some time ago. I'd guess maybe 5 years ago it received a facelift. The bed creaks and moans like it's showing its age. Regardless, am only here one night. Its acceptable for a short stay if on a budget.

It's a little rough around the edges but work is being done. The employees are welcoming and helpful. My room was pretty large and clean which is all you need from a motel. The area it's in is safe and about a 20 min walk to downtown. Despite what you read about Chattanooga crime wise I never saw any of it during my week there. Great place for the price and I will be coming back.

Dated and extremely run down. Staff was very nice, but personally would never stay here again. Even if facility were being constantly cleaned, it would still give you the impression of being dirty and unkempt.

The room itself was OK. Everything else was horrible. There was no soap, shampoo or tissue in the room. I tried to call the front desk and there was NO PHONE in the room. So I went to the desk and complained and the desk clerk actually laughed because there was so much wrong with the room. It was too late for me to go to another hotel. So an hour later the problems were fixed. Too little too late.

Great hotel. Very clean and good breakfasts. Nice rooms and nice pool. Great and nice staff . The only problem I had was with billing. I would recommend for anyone staying in Chattanooga Tennessee area.

Although the hotel is on the downtown-side of the interstate, it is not near any of the usual tourist attractions. The hotel is also bordered by two one-way roads which can make it difficult to navigate. We liked the hotel. Our room was clean. A hot breakfast is available. This La Quinta features an "old school" pool that is twelve feet deep on one side. Although near the interstate, noise was never a factor. We had arranged the trip through an online service which claimed to include al... Read more

We were there 4 days and 5 nights - The front and cleaning staffs were friendly and Management was super! My husband and I enjoy our time.. Your locations is nearby attractions, and, our room was clean. The view was great to see the lookout mountain. The pool was clean. Kitchen clean. I just had a issue with the kitchen helper she was rude when you ask her for ex: banana.... she just gave a mean face,,, We love the maintenance man,. he was very polite and honest with direction of guides. First impression was not good. Location lonely near freeway, but road noise not an issue. Entry door in need of pair and re-seating, a/c not working in common areas on a hot and humid day; first floor common okay in morning but not halls. But room was very nice. Updated. But bed was saggy and needed replacement. Clean, towels okay. Breakfast satisfactory. This did not live up to previous experience with this chain.

Booked this through a popular booking service who represented the hotel they assigned us being comparable to Hampton Inn, Holiday Inn Express or Courtyard by Marriott, etc.. It is not. It technically is considered downtown, but isn't really. It is in an industrial area just off I-24 and one sketchy neighborhood beside it. Pictures look great on their site, reality is different. I booked it for my wife and daughter who were traveling alone. When they went to the pool, which was nice, they were th... Read more

The location is convenient. The are of town isn't the best. The lobby is not inviting and the check-in process was not smooth for some people ahead of me, so it took a while to get my key. I booked through Hotel Tonight, and it went fine. My 5th floor room was adequate and reasonably clean. The hallway was not air conditioned, but the wi dos u it in the room worked well although it ran all night. It kept it in because the hotel is adjacent to the interstate. The WiFi worked well. Any time we travel we stay at LaQuinta Motels. They are always nice and clean, nice staff, great pools and services, and a terrific free breakfast. I joined the club to collect points because this is who I trust for a great value and a nice and clean room. Another basic reason which makes the decision for us to stay at their motels, they allow our animals to stay WITH us! We always travel with our pets.

We stayed here for two nights this past week and were very pleasantly surprised and pleased. We have paid much more for hotels and not had as nice of a room. We were looking for a budget motel for a quick trip to Chattanooga and when I saw a Groupon for this hotel, we decided to give it a chance because it was such a great deal. We were checked in very quickly. Our room was updated, attractive, and the beds were very comfortable. We had a coffee maker with plenty of supplies, a mini frig, f... Read more

There were 3 girls sharing one of the beds and some kind of bug ate them up. The beds were worn out and hard as a rock. They swapped our rooms but nothing else done about it. This hotel is in dire need of renovations.

We were staying there for a ball tournament and I was excited to stay at a La Qunita as I've stayed at them before and I've ALWAYS had EXCELLENT service but not so much this time. The front desk was very nice and seemed accommodating and the FREE continental breakfast was AMAZING. They had a LOT of options and the food was great. Here's where I had my issue, we left for the entire day as we were at a ball tournament and when we returned our room had NOT been cleaned and believe me it needed to b... Read more

We went to Chattanooga for the Hudson Essex Terraplane convention. It was held at the train station we wanted to stay close ny. Never having been to Chattanooga we pick by location alone. Hotel is in a somewhat industrial area and not a lot of nearby food.....but place was clean...staff helpful and polite. Rooms looked like they had a recent refurb and were comfortable. For the price a good deal.

We chose this hotel it because we thought we might be bringing our dog (we didn't) and there was NO fee. We've also stayed in another La Quinta but this was is quite old. Nice breakfast and the staff is very nice. The place could use some updating. The pool was nice and the breakfast was well stocked-waffles, eggs, sausage, biscuits, gravy, cereal and muffins, etc. Not in the best part of town but the price was decent. Fridge and microwave in room which is nice. Lighting in bathroom is poor bu... Read more

The picture of Groupon is not this hotel. They have a picture of the bridge downtown, making you think you are staying downtown. This hotel is just OK, it is NOT what I signed up for. I paid $80 for a night which I felt was a deal....not true.

We just needed a one night place to stay on our way through. The important things were clean: beds, linens, towels. The rest was a bit grimy around the edges. Has a big outdoor pool. It was fine for the night, probably would not want to stay multiple nights, unless for the pool.

Best Pet Friendly Hotel ever!! We have a 65lb 7 month old German Shepherd that has never stayed in a hotel before - they were so truly accommodating by placing their pet families on the lower level and on the same hallway ( near an outside door) - that gave us a recommendation list for vets incase she got sick snd Doggy day care ( The Ark Spa and Hotel) was the best Doggy day care that we used! I felt no anxiety that my dog was disturbing others on our hallway because everyone else has dogs to... Read more

Excellent hotel for pet friendly and price. Excellent location to Downtown Chattanooga. It's only five minute drive. I was so convenient to all the attractions of Ruby Falls and Rock City and Aquarium. Chattanooga is such a beautiful city. I highly recommend this pet friendly hotel. I go to Asheville often, I wish they had a La Quinta in Asheville, NC.

Needs some refurbishing, and Management has assured me that they are in the process. Had an "issue" with my room and management took care of it, as I would have rated it low if they had not. Comfortable bed, and the room had a microwave , refrigerator and flat screen TV. The air conditioner was QUIET ! And no freeway noise. Was on the 4th floor, so that might be a factor. The complimentary breakfast had scrambled eggs, sausage, toast and bagels, cereal, fruit juices and an assortment of other... Read more

The staff is wonderful: kind, helpful and professional. The artwork around the hotel was really interesting. The hotel, however, needs some attention. It is a bit more run down than other La Quinas we visit. Peeling paint, stained carpets, peeling grout... Just not up to La Quinta standards.

The entrance and lobby is nice and trick you. All the hallways are uncooled (90 degrees plus). The room I stayed in...the a/c didnt work, so imagine a 95 degree summer day and trying to sleep. I'm sure it was rented to me knowing full well the a/c didnt work and it was rented to people after me. The employees were very friendly but that was about it. When you first walk into the hotel there is an odor. The king sized bed was horrible, it was sunk in in the middle. So if you sleep on the end you will roll to the middle. The light by the desk did not work, so I was not able to study like I had planned. The hotel is in a bad neighborhood and there are no cameras in the parking lot, I was concerned about my vehicle and my safety. When I checked out, the receptionist did not ask how I like ... We have been staying once a year for the last 5 years and the last couple have shown decor deterioration compared with other La Quinta hotels. The positives are a friendly welcome from the staff. They were happy to make recommendations and just be helpful. The breakfast is good. It was busy the morning we stayed but everything was topped up and kept clean. Our room was clean.
