When we were checking out Dennis was very pleasant, very helpful. He was professionally dressed, clean. Very pleasant and acommadating. The room was clean, the cafe that is connected to it is phenomenal! We only needed one night, the next day after our event we had to leave. 5/14/2016

Great location. Highlight of stay was being welcomed by Nancy. She gave us tips for our visit and made us feel like we had known her forever. When I went to the desk late at night for extra towels, I did not have to wait for housekeeping to be contacted and bring them to the room as I have had to to at much higher priced hotels I have stayed at. The wonderful bilingual gentleman manning the desk got them for me himself even though there was someone from the housekeeping staff nearby. All of the ... Read more

The only reason I'm giving it a 4 instead of 5 is the facility is a bit dated if they would remodel this would be one of the best hotels in Chattanooga. For the price I couldn't have asked for better the staff was very accommodating and answered all my questions they went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. It was within walking distance of our convention hall. It was also very clean even if it was a bit dated. I would definitely stay there again.

It was the first time in a long time that I have stayed at a hotel that caters to female travelers as much as they cater to male travelers. i LOVED having a lighted 2 sided maked up mirror in the bathroom!!!!! The restaurant and bar were so accomodating, we had a large demanding group, and they kept bringing and adding more and more tables and chairs, the waitresses were able to keep all our checks straight. The lobby was large with comfy cozy seating areas.

We had a great welcome here, lovely staff, very helpful. Room just as it should be, everything clean and tidy, no problems at all. Having searched in vain for a restaurant nearby, we went to the City Cafe attached to the hotel, a typical American diner with great food and atmosphere. If Tate staying at this hotel, or anywhere nearby, the City Cafe is a must!

First the good: Near downtown, near interstate, comfortable beds. The desk staff was pretty good, letting us know about local restaurants etc. The bad: no free breakfast. The air conditioner was really loud. The room was quite small. Not many plugs in the room---there were 2 in the bathroom sink area, and another 2 on the front of the microwave. The rest were all taken up by lamps. None of the plugs were convenient for being able to use a laptop while reclining on the bed. The ugly: The imme... Read more

The Room Was Great. Clean. Smelled Fresh and bed was very comfortable. We stayed on the top floor which I enjoyed less noise. We did however eat at the 24 hour dinner ..and I didn't enjoy that but we did get to see the fireworks from our room due to the music festival that was in down town so that was a nice perk. I enjoyed my 2 day stay and would def stay here again!

The outside of the hotel looks a little tired, but don't let that deter you. Our room was very clean and well-appointed. (One wash cloth was a little tired, but that is easy to miss and overall the linens were very clean) The employees were all friendly and helpful and we loved the City Cafe, the 24-hour diner attached to the hotel!

We were treated like royalty at the Days Inn. Dennis and Nancy were like a free comedy show, accommodating to our needs in a humorous southern hospitality manner. We stayed for the weekend and I was a little upset about the room. We found it on a website and it was a king room for a great price. Little did we know it was a handicap room so I had no bathtub, only an open shower that by the end of the trip was not so bad after all. We are standing in line to check in and a woman just cuts infront of us. The lady at the desk says nothing to her or us, she just begins checking her in. I had plenty to eat and drink! The room was super clean, and very comfortable. this is great if you need to stay downtown Chattanooga--the room was very clean and neat--the staff was very efficient and very nice--stayed 3 nights and all was well--would stay again--and the attached restaurant was excellent food and is know as one of the best in Chattanooga.

Being so conveniently located with 24 hour City cafe was very nice. Having the town shuttle stop right out front was very safe at night. It's just a shame there were cockroaches in the room & rat droppings in the light cover of the bathroom.

Ok hotel in downtown Chatannooga, We stayed 3 nights visiting from the UK the guy on reception was a little over opinionated (Clinton vs Trump I'm on vacation please keep your opinion to yourself), The rooms are basic clean and functional, They do have a diner attached to the hotel which is excellent and a bar which made all our party feel uncomfortable when we entered so we immediately left, I'd stay here again if I was in town but maybe you should have a word with your staff about ramming ther... We had a reservation at a Red Roof Inn but when we checked in, the room was horrible so we backed out. We drive to Days Inn-Rivergate and Dennis helped us secure a room for 3 days even though it was a busy weekend for them. The room was clean! Parking was a little hard because they were packed but other than that, we would highly recommend this establishment!

The bed was fine, room clean enough. The humidity inside the room was pretty unbearable. That and the odor, not sure if it was the room or the construction, not welcome. Not what I expected at this price. The employees were very nice.

Nothing fancy, but a great deal for the price. Great downtown location, comfortable beds, and on sight restaurant. The restaurant is very good with a large selection on their menu. They also have a bar on sight with live music, but I would not recommend that. The bartender was rude and unprofessional. The crowd it draws in seems very shady, but by the time we finished our first and only drink, we realized most of the crowd was friends of the bartender. All in all a great little place for the mo... Awesome restaurant connected to it, they have a bar too, it's close to everything and if u still don't want to walk u can take the FREE shuttle all over town until 11:00 pm! The rooms are clean and well maintained and the beds are SO COMFORTABLE! We come to Chattanooga every year for Wine Over Water and this is the first year we stayed here but definitely won't be the last! We will be booking with this hotel for years to come!

I stayed at the Days Inn, Rivergate this past weekend and want everyone to know that Dennis and Nancy are two of the friendliest and most accommodating front desk staff I have ever encountered. The hotel was clean but definitely rundown and outdated. However, I would stay there again just to see these two again. They are 5 star even if the hotel is not. The diner has awesome food and convenient because it's 24 hours. Sincerely, Carrie B., Watkinsville, GA

Pulling up to hotel we were very concerned. People in parking lot with hood up and hanging out smoking. Looks very scary on first impression. Staff were nice, room was clean. Need to upgrade to Queen beds NOT Full beds.....

Great job with the special requests, 1st floor and close to parking. Quick check in and on to the room. The room was everything I expected however, with having to get up at 5:30am, the bar inside the hotel, created noise until after midnight which cause a loss of sleep for the next days work. With the number of College age customers and being on a Friday night, I was just tolerant.

We live in Chattanooga, but get a room at the Day's Inn, whenever we want to do something downtown. You can walk , or hop a shuttle, to most anywhere, from there. The rooms are clean and comfortable. In the summer, the pool is always lovely. There is a 24 hour diner attached to the hotel, with EVERY kind of food you can imagine. Plus you get 10% off food, with your hotel room key. One of the last great dive bars in town is attached to the hotel, too. The Office, or Club Let Me, i... Read more

When you first pull up, the exterior of this Days Inn has much to be desired. The "eye" for outside detail in cleanliness lack standards. Also, just looking at the place, you can tell it's an old location. I felt like I made a bad error in my decision to stay here:( Thennnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn, I opened the door:) The room was clean:) Always the MOST important thing when staying anywhere:) So housekeeping gets an A+! The shower was perfect, plenty on hot water and an even better spray noz... Read more

We enjoyed the stay at the Days Inn Riverfront. Dennis booked my reservations for me. This is an older hotel but was clean and working. The 24 hour CITY CAFE on property has good food and very large portions. The hotel gives a discount for the food. Make sure you ask for Dennis when making your reservations.

Room was nice, seemed to be updated recently, older location well kept. Diner was fun and friendly, all the staff was pleasant. Would definitely stay here again. Also has a bar that unfortunately we did not have time to visit but will next visit for sure.

While this is an older property it was squeaky clean. The bed was one of the most comfortable I've ever experience in a hotel. The hotel is convenient to downtown and is a stop for the for transit system which makes it easy to get to the Tennessee Aquarium and other downtown venues. There is a 24hr diner on the premises which features 140+ menu items at a very reasonable price

This is on older hotel which should be on the demolition list. Walls are paper thin. Front desk was pathetic.... with one big exception. After being awoken two nights in a row at 3:30AM, by coughing and loud talking from the next room, followed by extreme vocalized romance the next afternoon, I requested a room change. At the front desk, Dennis, was exceptional and fully understood my situation. Without hesitation, he moved me to another room down the hall. On the other hand my check-in was hand... Read more

Night Auditor was accommodating and friendly. Security patrols the parking lot till 6am. Bed was clean, roomy and very comfortable with a fridge and room was newer looking and immaculate. You get 10 percent off your food tab at the 24 Hour City Cafe which is great food with Fred Flintstone portions. Dennis, the front desk clerk went to the restaurant next door just to make sure I got my discount at the diner. Staff went above and beyond all for about 100 per night. Would definitely try to st... The room looked like it was newly redone. Very nice. The outside however, was very 'ghetto.'. If someone would spend a day with a power washer the entire appearance would be greatly improved! It would give a much better impression.

I left my lights on and my battery died. The owner of the property himself would not help jump my car battery. Thankfully, the folks across the street at the Marriott were more than happy to help -- and I wasn't even staying there! AVOID the Days Inn Chattanooga-Rivergate. It is an ancient, exterior corridor motor inn, dated, dirty. Vagrants are all over the property.

Wonderful stay. Room was clean. Front desk staff all 3 days were great and responsive! Remember to show room key for discount in restaurant and bar. Older property so could use some sprucing up. Would have preferred a coffee pot in room rather than a single cup brewer. I'd definitely recommend staying there if you're in Chattanooga
