Driving back to VA my wife and I decided to stop for the night at this Hampton Inn. It had been a while since using Hampton and we were very pleasantly surprised by the quality of the facility, the cleanliness, and service. One of the best lodging experiences in long time.

The staff here went out of their way to be friendly, especially Sandra in the breakfast area. Room was comfortable & pillows perfect for a good night's sleep. Must be thin ceilings as you can hear every footstep above you. Next time I'll request a room on the top floor! Restaurant within walking distance.

The staff here is excellent: especially the check-in staff and breakfast attendants. The property is well maintained and is extremely clean. The bed was comfortable and the flat screen TV had many channels - many in HD. If staying in the area, I will return!

Clean room, great breakfast, and comfortable bed. When we arrived the front desk had fresh cookies waiting and the check in was painless. The lobby facility is excellent with an open atrium area in the middle for breakfast. The rooms were comfortable and clean. The only thing that threw me off was a vintage photo in the room of two Mayfield dairy employees staring me down all night. That would be a great photo for the lobby, but landscapes or building pics would probably be better in the room.

The Athens, TN Hampton Inn is convenient to I-75 and downtown Athens and at the same time is in a quiet location. The staff was pleasant and service-oriented. They wanted to be sure we were happy! The room and facility were spin and span clean and the food service for the breakfast included a variety of choices. The staff at this hotel were efficient and seemed to really enjoy meeting guests and being of service. Our experience was a very good one and we can recommend this Hampton Inn for an... Read more

Check in was smooth. Room was fine. Only issue was my daughter saw a very small bug under a pillow, dead of course. We checked all the beds and could not find any other issues. Because she is a typical teen she requested we contact the front desk. We didn't find any other issues with the room so we were okay with staying. Clean sheets would make our teen feel better. The staff quickly came to the room and offered to move us to a different room or help change out the linens. New sheets we... Read more

We stayed at this hotel one night on our way to another destination. Soon after we arrived we hopped in the pool before we realized there were no towels available. An employee that came out the back door told us towels were available at the front desk. Within just a few minutes someone brought towels to us without us even having to ask. What great service!! I stay at Hampton Inns frequently and so does my spouse. Service and staff were excellent. Mattress was terrible, not up to standards of other places. Design of this Hampton did not promote quiet restful sleep. Hallways open to an atrium. Some guest thumped until midnight. I had earplugs and was still awakened. probably kids.

Athens was a 'halfway' point on our journey to a family reunion in Virginia. I've learned that Hampton Inn is consistent in service, friendly and secure, peaceful environments, offering accommodations with the traveler in mind at a reasonable rate. I'd highly recommend the Athens, Tn. Hampton Inn on all accounts! (The steak and eggs breakfast offering was fabulous!! :)

We stayed here on our way to Orlando. We were pleasantly surprised. The room was very comfortable as were the beds. The hotel was very quiet. The pool was small, but did its job. I think it was salt water. Breakfast was good. Terrie was amazing and so friendly and helpful. The only negative was there was no air in the bathroom and no exhaust fan. My top rating is a comparison to the many Hampton Inns I frequent. This place has the customer attention and service I seldom see. Hamptons are all very much the same facilities. It's the locals here that make this place special. A special thanks to the very nice, helpful lady doing breakfast.

As usual Hilton properties are very well maintained and the staff is always helpful. The only issue I had at this location was the Fitness center. It has a treadmill, Elliptical, and a Bike. I was hoping for some dumb bells or maybe a wall unit. But nothing. I rode the bike and when I transitioned from lvl 4 to lvl 5 it felt like I went to 10. Needs adjusting. Overall everything else was great.

There are a few things that you look in a hotel. The first is cleanliness. The second is friendly staff. The third is reasonable price. This facility has all of those three things. Obviously since this is the third time I have stayed it's a place that I would recommend. The breakfast and the workout center are also top-notch.

This is among the lovelier hotels in the Hampton line in which I have stayed. Beautiful atrium-like main breakfast area, fireplaces with tvs above them, convenient to a number of good restaurants, and of course the most excellent breakfast. At $140.00 for the night's stay, it's somewhat overpriced, but I was there on a Saturday with the Volunteers in town. Awesome Hampton Inn property, however.

The check in/out process was bad. Our room wasn't ready for us even though it was more than 30-40 minutes past check-in time. The check-out process was even worse. After waiting in the long line of angry people, I just put our room key on the desk and left. It probably would have taken us forever to check out, too. Ugh. They need to be properly staffed in front if they have a fully booked hotel and at least 1 wedding group staying there.

Our check in was very easy, and the person checking us in was friendly and helpful. The room was clean, and quiet. The beds weren't the most comfortable, and the hot tub was out of order. The sign said "temporarily out of order" however, we've stayed here before and it's been out of order every time. I would think after several years, it would be working again. We don't use it, so it doesn't matter to us, but I'm sure others wouldn't feel this way.
