We had an early (6:30 a.m.) flight departure for a five-week trip. Rather than pay for parking for that long, we arranged for transportation to this Holiday Inn Express the evening before and thus facilitate an easier early morning departure. Check-in was the usual friendly and efficient greeting. The room was clean and comfortable. And although our hotel departure at 5:15 a.m. was before breakfast started, there was coffee, juice and cinnamon buns available. All worked out perfect for our reser... Read more

Came in around midnight to a pre-booked room. I am a bit paranoid as a single female traveler regarding adjoining doors. Imagine my horror when I had not 2 but 3 doors in my room! One to the interior hallway, one adjoining and another to the parking lot. Now this is a nice feature to be able to come and go directly to your car in the lot but for me it was a nighmare. But some folks would love this option so here is it laid out for you to decide. The breakfast was the usual and the staff were ... Read more

So I did a road trip from Colorado spring to Knoxville with my fiancé. We were planning to travel all the way to Sth Carolina however I would not have made in onto a flight back to Texas. He was going there for work and I was going to stay with his mum before heading back to Australia. ?????? Anyway we got there around 10:30-11pm and the guy at the desk was soo attentive and helpful. He told us where we could find a Walmart and other shops. But the best thing was his customer service. 10/10.... Read more

We went to this hotel because they had a pool and we wanted to swim as we celebrated our anniversary. Well that didn't happen. The pool was so cold that my husband wouldn't even get in it. I got in but only up to my waist. They have no hot tub and this was disappointing. The room was very nice and the beds were great so the rest of the visit was nice.

Very nice clean place, comfortable bed. Even though we were in the room right next to the breakfast area, it was quiet. A/C didn't sound like a train either. Breakfast was more than enough. My only improvement would be they could use stainless steel pans to hold the hot food under the warming lights. The plastic trays looked old and besides, plastic can leach chemicals into your food. Otherwise great place.

We stayed in a queen suite, and the room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Staff was friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was good. Wifi was fast. But there are no outlets specifically designed for charging electronics, and the available outlets are located far from the desk and bed. (All the other hotels we have stayed in recently have lamps with built-in outlets for charging phones and other electronics.) TVs are not hi-def, so the picture is lousy. A floor lamp was well-placed behind a corne... Read more

I recently stayed at this property while in the area on business. The room was spotlessly clean, the front desk staff was very pleasant, the beds were firm and felt newer. The breakfast area, while small, was very clean. The room was quiet and I had a good night's rest. I would definitely stay here again if in the area.

HIE Alcoa is in a great location, just a mile south of the airport, near the Texas Roadhouse. It's a little cumbersome to get in and out of, but that's a minor quibble. While all the rooms are supposedly non-smoking, they initially stuck me in room 327, one of the few rooms that does NOT have a no-smoking symbol on the door, and the room stunk like cigarette smoke. I immediately went down to the front desk and asked for a no-smoking room, and they changed it. What are they trying to pull with t... Read more

My stay was great, the clerk who checked me in was very welcoming. He offered dining suggestions with detailed directions and treated me like a valued customer, even though he was busy. The breakfast (which is why I stay at Holiday Inn Express) was well stocked and carefully attended to. My room clean and the bed was comfortable. This Holiday Inn Express is very well managed and maintained. I look forward to staying here again. Thank you!

Nice looking on outside but rooms are very dated, A/C system barely keep my room cool during record heat wave, wifi was very problematic, would work great and fast then barely work at all. Would give this facility a one star but staff was great, so gave it a two star, the staff is obviously trying very hard to make best effort for such an outdated facility.

This is a lower-end HIE. Room was okay, except for a dirty phone. Other areas in the hotel had some walls that looked grungy. There is no lobby, which is kind of weird. Breakfast was nothing special. Best part of my stay was the good cinnamon rolls.

Nice clean hotel. Awesome staff. Very friendly and professional. Typical HIE breakfast. I am a business traveler and when I get done at the end of day I like to come back and watch TV. Not even one HD station. Makes watching a little annoying especially sports. It's 2016, I don't understand.

I had a bad experience at a hotel down the street that had a very dirty swimming pool and I cancelled my reservation and left. My kids and I went on trip advisor, I was not yet a member but found this hotel. From the minute I walked in Karen at the desk made me feel very welcomed and comfortable. A clean swimming pool is important to me and Karen allowed me to go check that out before I booked a room. I only booked a night at a time here due to my experience at the last hotel and the one night ... Read more

We were traveling for a family funeral. The staff was considerate and efficient. The room was quiet, the beds comfortable, and the breakfast offered a wide variety of foods. I would certainly stay there again.

Great clean room and hotel staff. Shuttle to and from airport was effortless and on time. Hotel is next to a trailway for running and has good restaurants within .2miles. Could not ask for more from a hotel. My only recommendation is that they do better with breakfast in the morning. fresh fruit would be great. The pancake maker was out of service.

Our room had a kitchen and bar area with a sink, microwave, fridge, Keurig, sofa, arm chair and desk. The shower had a ceiling that seemed somewhat low, but may only be a problem if you are over 6'10" Breakfast included Chobani Greek yogurt, HIE signature cinnamon rolls, as well as individually packaged gluten free blueberry muffins.

I stayed here overnight on my way to Cades Cove. It is comfortable and clean. The breakfast was very good. It could use a little updating, but for the price, it was fine. The front desk staff is courteous and their is ample parking.

This was a very good stay for the money, very clean very convenient close to restaurants and the Airport. The young man at the front desk was very knowledgeable and very friendly. Had an indoor pool and everything was very clean. I recommend the stay if you're in the area
