the hotel is Clean and acceptable. the Staff is very nice and helpful. the workout room is in adequate ( they should allow guest to use the local gym down the street. the TV and Internet had issues during my stay. could not get NBC for 2 nights. Internet had excessive buffering each night.

Business brings me to Sioux City a few times a year and I always stay at this hotel. The price is a bit high but that's no reflection on the professional and courteous staff. Everyone there is a pleasure to deal with. Good breakfast and a nice quiet location. Although I didn't use the gym this trip it does offer treadmills for someone who wants to get a good run in. Outdoor running is also available. As I said, a nice hotel with an excellent staff.

A Great place to stay!!! You all did well. I will be staying in this place in the future, it and when the time allows. I do not expect I will have another chance to brag on this place and the staff... Every one was so wonderful!!!

We arrived about 4:30 PM. The staff was very friendly and helpful making us feel welcome. We asked for a place to eat that was close by and they gave us excellent directions. Room & bathroom was clean. All the amenities of the hotel were in great shape. The breakfast bar was very good from the eggs and bacon to the oatmeal, which was not "soupy" as at some other hotels.

This hotel is very run down and in desperate need of updating, my room in particular had no waste baskets, no desk lights, no pictures on the walls, basically a stripped down room that looked very worn

This is a dark, filthy disgusting hotel. The desk area was sticky, the room old and out dated, and they did not even provide a lamp next to the bed. To make it worse, the area this hotel is located in is very suspect. Don't stay here.

Even during their remodel, the service was great, the room was fresh and clean and the staff was great. I had a little trouble with the A/C, but they handled it right away and my stay was great. I always try and stay at a Hampton Inn when I travel because the bedding is always fresh and the room always looks and smells clean!!

We took a chance because we have a small dog. They were pet friendly and only charged us $15.00 for the dog. Also got a Veteran discount when I showed my ID. The room was spacious, clean, quite with comfortable beds. The hot breakfast was wonderful. The person in charge of the breakfast area kept it full, stocked and the tables clean and ready for the next family. They had Belgium waffles, scrambled eggs and sausage links along with milk, juices and hard boiled eggs. There were tons of ki... Read more

Stayed overnight traveling. Hotel is in the remodel process but you would not know it. They look to be almost done. Rooms very nicely finished with nice decor. Full breakfast, wonderful! helpful staff. Beds too soft for me. Plenty of area restaurants. Indoor pool, wifi etc. great place to stay

I was pleased with this stop on my road trip. We spent the night had breakfast and were back on the road with no complants. Glad I reserved it in advance since it was full when we arrived. There was a couple fighting loudly in the parking lot when we arrived but it ended quickly and we were able to go inside.

This was a good, clean hotel with a great breakfast selection. The check in was a little slow, but the employee was very nice. Everything was super clean. The rooms were quiet. They had a nice pool too. I would stay here again.

Stay was great! It said it was under construction, but I never heard any construction noise at all. Pool was really clean, well kept and taken care of. Rooms were clean, very nice and updated for a Hampton hotel. Staff really did a great job at answering questions and being patient. Breakfast was about as good as you can get for a complimentary one. I would stay here again, given the opportunity!

We were looking for a hotel outside of Sioux City and found the Hampton at a great price. The hotel was under construction but honestly we did not notice. There was no closet because of the construction but we did not notice. Breakfast was your typical hotel breakfast (scrambled eggs, sausage, waffles, oatmeal). There was shredded cheese for the eggs which was a nice touch. Got a great night's sleep. Mattress was great!

It was bad. Room was old, outdated, and in bad need of upgrade. Bathroom was bad. Had a lot of noise from the hallways, outside the unit and the room above. Room was way over priced. During my trip, I stayed at a lot better hotels for a lot less money. Do not stay at this hotel.

I stayed here for 5 nights for a large family reunion; altogether our group rented about a dozen rooms. We had a universally poor experience. The building itself is fine, as is the location. But the service, particularly the housekeeping services, was incredibly spotty. I won't take up the space here to list everything, but here is a sampling: At least 3 families arrived on a Thursday afternoon. Check-in time is 3 pm. At 3:45 pm, rooms were not ready. We were told it would be "about 10 m... Read more

The saltwater pool was loved by all the kids, and the hot tub was hot! (This is important.) The breakfast was fabulous with lots of choices. Everything about this actual hotel was great. Rooms were clean and quiet. Staff was pleasant and the breakfast had lots of options. The trouble is the location. The North Sioux City Hampton Inn has always been in an eclectic area. It is next door to a casino, fireworks building, apartments, mobile home and newer better homes. Over the past decade we would stop here 3 times a year on our way home from vacations out west as it was convenient to our driving schedule. Never again. Arriving at 5:30 PM, after a 12+ hour drive, there is one family ahead of me wanting 2 rooms to sleep 5. It takes Sarah, at the front desk, 15 minutes to complete their reserva... Read more

We stopped here on the way to the Badlands. This hotel was very nice. They are remodeling and it is looking great. Very clean and good breakfast. The rooms were a very nice size for my husband, myself and our two kids. It is a very small area but the staff was very helpful in telling us a good place to eat that was right down the road. I was planning to stay at the hotel from 9/12-9/15, but my trip was shortened by one date. 9/13-9/15 and the hotel would not honor the reduced rate I had gotten. My rate went from $89/day to $151/day if I wanted to shorten the trip. I am a Hilton Diamond member and expected better service. It's cheaper for me to keep the 3 day rate. Hotel would not work with me to shorten trip.

We were in town for our high school class reunion 8/19 & 8/20. We were in room 101. Upon checking in we noticed crickets & spiders. We went to front deck. They sprayed while we were gone. We came back to dead bugs everywhere. We cleaned them up. Next morning. We had more Live bugs. They sprayed again. Next morning more live done with this place.

Stayed here on our way to Mount Rushmore. Accommodations were good, beds comfortable and rooms spacious. We found the Continental breakfast to be above average, containing scrambled eggs, sausage and waffles. We found the orange juice to be watery and the eggs to be somewhat rubbery, but overall not a bad breakfast. The location for our purposes was not bad but it is really not near much.

As a diamond member I regret not doing the self check in as my 9:30 PM check-in was tedious. This property is going to be a remodel so I'll cut a bit of slack there. But when I have to call maintenance to get my shade open and find hair in the tub it's not mine there's really no reason to get this property more than two stars. Avoid this one until you see consistent five-star reviews. Also if you're in the elite level for hotel programs switch to Marriott as they automatically upgrade you unlike... Read more

The night attendant was rude. The first room I was in was hot and the air conditioner didn't work. When. I called the desk, he told me to open the window. After some persistance, was moved to a second roim that had trash on the floor and something smeared on the counter. The deadbolt didn't lock either. The breakfast was skimpy. They didn't even have the usual muffins or danishes. Definitely would not stay again.

The place was fine. I have stayed in a lot of Hampton Inn's with almost 100% satisfaction and this one met the standard. They are renovating but that caused no inconvenience. One issue is that as they upgrade rooms there may be a problem with closet space. Again this wasn't a problem for me and if more hanger space is needed they provide solutions.

Active construction going on at this hotel until end of October. This is more than just a "pardon our dust" situation. The first room that we were given did not have a working faucet (plumbing was completely disconnected). Boxes of fixtures and construction items were in the hallways. All rooms across the hall from ours were under construction with bare drywall, fans running, plastic hung up, workers going in and out, etc. Half of our room had been renovated but they had not yet remodeled... Morning desk clerk doesn't like truckers. Otherwise, a very nice place to stay and staff is nice, especially in the breakfast room. Parked our truck in back and had a nice stay, but when I went to check out the clerk didn't like that our truck was there. I hadn't seen any signs to the contrary. Truckers pay good money. Truckers serve these United States with good and products necessary for our daily lives.
