We stayed just one night, and everything was great. Staff was friendly at check in. The casino staff was friendly, although we didn't do much gambling. The breakfast was good and located in the main lobby. No problems, and we will stay again.

very nice employees . priced right and pet friendly . easy parking garage too. it's right on the Main Street and next door to the Bar old no. 10. the breakfast was better than other holiday inn hotels. rooms were clean and no over the top air freshers .

The hotel itself is very nice and clean. The pool and hot tub area is great in every respect. Valet parking is an option. When parking yourself, it is not convenient as is the case with most centrally located downtown areas. The valet was smoking right outside the entrance which is a tremendous turn off.

The Holiday Inn Express Deadwood is located right in the heart of historic Deadwood. It is basically right next door to Saloon No. 10 and it is a very, very easy walk up and down the strip to visit all of the fun casinos and bars. Our room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The temperature was a bit of a struggle as it was cold when we arrived, but not quite cold enough to turn on the heat which made the room sweltering, but we eventually figured it out. Valet parking was free for the ni... Read more

Monet checked us in to our room. She gave us lots of great information about the area and suggested a place for dinner that night. Our room was over looking Main St. It was real comfortable and had everything we needed. It was a great place to come back to after a long day of discovering the Black Hills. We even won a little money in the casino downstairs. The staff their is wonderful too.

Holiday Inn Express in Deadwood is in a good location, close to many things. Saloon no. 10 are just a few doors down, so is the Wild West Shootout. Beds are comfortable, but in our room they seemed a bit low to the ground. Upon check in we discovered there is no parking on site. You have to drive around the block and use the public parking garage. They do give you a free pass for it though, but it's not convenient if you have trouble walking (we had grandparents with us who struggle to climb sta... Read more

Selected this hotel because it was reasonably priced and in downtown Deadwood. We arrived early and had to store our luggage. Spent the afternoon exploring Deadwood, got checked in to the hotel and had an excellent steak for dinner at Legends. The room was comfortable, clean and quiet.

Locate half block off Deadwood's main street, which is full of activities. Great location for the various options for all ages. Parking is by voucher at city lot, over a block from the HI, but a small price to pay from being in the middle of city.

We love the location! We enjoyed the pool, hot tub, breakfast and friendly staff. We also did free valet parking but we tipped to not have to deal with parking. No issues. We will be back. It's my 5th visit to this hotel. Have stayed at other places in Deadwood but you can't beat the hotel or location.

This place is right off the main historic street. Clean, desk personal were very nice and helpful. Only problem was the parking. The parking is across the main street and the attendant there was very helpful, actually surly to my son when we tried get into the ramp, the first gate was broken and when he went to the other to see if it was working the attendant snapped at him. Ramp is public parking and you get a card with hotel reservation but not a great experience for me or my 13 year old s... Read more

This hotel is centrally located to all the activities, shops, and restaurants in downtown Deadwood. You can walk to most everything. They offer free self parking nearby or free (tips) valet parking. The rooms are OK; some face the street which is fun for the daily western "shootouts" etc., but can be noisy at night too. They also allow pets & some dogs bark when walking the hallways past their rooms. The rooms are nice, clean, and about what you would expect for a 3 star. Coffee makers in rooms ... Read more

I am a bit disappointed after physically stopping in a week prior to my stay and requesting a first floor room. (My father is in his late sixties and has trouble walking) She stated there are 6 rooms and she would book one for us for our stay. So imagine our disappointment when checked-in and our room was on the second floor and none of the first floor rooms would be available to us. Would have expected yes a small microwave and mini fridge for the room price. Bring your own cooler as there is no place to keep food and drinks cold in your room. When I arrived, I knew the location was perfect (right in the heart of Deadwood) but I was a bit disappointment with the room (interior by the elevator). I asked the front desk if there was anything better and they bumped me to a top floor corner room on main street with a couch, lazy boy, kitchenette, and king bed - all updated recently. Admittedly, I have Spire status so I reminded them of that when I inquired about a new room but I wasn't really looking for that much of an upgrade. Just on... Read more

The parking is a block away but they give you time to unload the car & take your bags to your room before driving the car to the parking garage. There is valet parking if your prefer but being we don't allow a valet to drive our car, it worked out perfectly. Loved being in the heart of downtown. If you want to be able to stumble to your hotel after a night out at the casino/bar then this hotel is perfect;) The hotel looks like it has been abused by drunk party people. In fact while we were there the front door was broken by a drunk man who was staying there. The room we stayed in didn't have an outside window but it had a window that faced the lobby so you always had to keep the shade shut if you didn't want people looking into your room. Breakfast 1. parking-you park a block away (it is free to lodgers) and it's a public parking garage (kinda shady me thinks), this is a big hotel and I felt sorry for those who had to either walk back to the hotel in the rain or pay for valet service. 2. breakfas... Great hotel that was extra clean (seemed almost new), great amenities, comfortable, and quiet. Sink was separate from the bathroom -- not something I like but works for others. This hotel offered a very comfortable 2-night stay with delicious breakfast included. The staff was friendly, and the location was good. If there was a down side, it was the very bright lights from the lobby that come in around the curtains all night long.
