Nice clean room with a comfy bed and some peace and quiet at night. I would have gave it five stars but, some of the breakfast foods were not very warm. The biscuits and gravy were lukewarm the first morning and the sausage was not very warm another morning. Otherwise it was a great stay!

Only downer was finding available parking across the street unless you got to the hotel little earlier in day but this is sometimes the problem all over in Deadwood. Staff is fantastic! The Tin Lizzie restaurant has great food and best prices in town (but we also enjoyed the complimentary breakfast offered for guests). We used this hotel in Deadwood as base for our stay while touring the Black Hills and Mount Rushmore attractions.

Given wrong buffet pricing when asked. Didn't know till time of payment. Food cold and they ran out. Had to request utensils. Staff rude. Server laughed when asked if they had more food. Eventually received 1/2 credit. Talked with hostess the next day and she more than accommodating to return the remaining money paid.

Been staying at Hampton Inns all across the US and this one was one of the nicest rooms we had experienced. The staff were most receptive and accommodating. The Tin Lizzie is not a glamorous casino so be warned. Pretty much a dive, but there are other options along Main Street in Deadwood. There was a great made to order breakfast at the Tin Lizzie for $4 as a senior and with a players card. Not to be missed. Nice hotel though, seems way too nice for the casino.

This place was great, the staff was friendly, and the room was super clean and affordable. It has a restaurant, bakery and casino inside, so you don't even have to leave the hotel if you don't want to. It's right in the middle of everything, so you can just walk right out the door to check out the town.

Decided to spend the night in Deadwood during a South Dakota visit to see "historic downtown" and selected the Hampton Inn because I'm a Hilton member (and this hotel seemed as good as any of the other choices). It was a perfectly normal Hampton Inn. The rooms were clean and the staff helpful and polite. The elevator is pretty slow so I recommend taking the stairs. There are only three floors.

First of all, I need to say that the staff we encountered were all friendly and helpful. Further, our room was comfortable and clean. Parking was across the street from the facility and was quite strange. They should note this in the property description in the Hilton HHonors App. It took us a few minutes to figure this out. The breakfast area was woefully small. When we got down for breakfast, there were no tables available and many people were standing around waiting. We figured we would s... Read more

Our Hampton Inn room was very nice and the staff were helpful. The location is good to catch one of the trolleys. For walkers, it is about 8 blocks to downtown where shops, restaurants and bars are. Our room was right on the street so it was not real quiet. The best part of our room was the price. Very historic location.

We spent one night at the Hampton Inn and it was a pleasure to stay there. The room was clean and I loved the bathroom! So spacious and bright and actually very pretty :) Some of the small things I loved were the cute coffee sleeves and the breakfast to go bags. The continental breakfast was good too...we all found something to fill our tummies. And the kids seem to like the pool as well! All in all a great place to stay :)

This hotel is a casino/Hotel it is not a typical hampton. Although the staff is very nice and friendly. The breakfast area is disgusting and smelled really bad we didnt eat due to the smell. The hallway to our room smelled bad too like rotten food. Parking is not great either it is a small town and very touristy so be prepared for this if your traveling and just looking for a hampton/hilton to stay. Three of us on a month long dual-sport motorcycle adventure spanning about 10K miles routinely stay in Hampton Inns mostly because of a consistent 4 star experience overall. The Deadwood Hampton Inn was on our route of travel, so we booked without a second thought. This hotel has a casino attached, a bar and a restaurant as well. We stayed at the Hampton Inn in Deadwood for three nights. We had a two room suite with a jacuzzi. It was a beautiful room. Cozy Hotel, well maintained and cared for. The reception is simple, but with coffee and drinks available. On the ground floor you are directly in the casino, basically a mini Las Vegas. Well kept and clean rooms with all necessary amenities. negative notes: Limited parking and quite uncomfortable. The elevator is dated, slow and noisy. In addition to breakfast, also they offer a takeaway bag at reception. As location is good being on the outskirts of the city.

We had difficulty getting a cot to our room on 2 occasions. We waited until almost 9:30 on one night and had to go back to the front desk to ask again and it was obvious we had been forgotten. If you value your car and belongings do not stay here. The so-called valet parking is just the open parking lot across the street from the hotel with no security guards or cameras. DO NOT ASSUME that when you hand your keys to the valet person that your car will be put in a safe place. We learned the hard way. Hotel itself was fine and room was above average. Bed was very comfortable. We did decide to try the buffet at Tin Lizzie's since the entrees included prime rib and crab legs. My family stayed at Hampton Inn Deadwood on our way out to Yellowstone. It is at the end of the "strip", so close to all restaurants and night life. My kids lived the gunfights in the street that the city puts on. Todd in the valet went out of his way to bring us a cart for our luggage to unload our car. As a Hilton Diamond member I stay across the country and many times you must fight to get a luggage cart. His service and the friendly ladies at he front desk made our stay great.

The Inn is at the beginning of Main Street so just outside the main area which is generally crowded but still within a few minutes walk of the attractions. Also, parking is just across the street and free - a plus in Deadwood. Tin lizzie is a casino complex so the buffet and Irish pub were a bit noisy and not to our taste. The room was fine - clean and typically corporate with a king bed and loads of luggage space. There was a complementary breakfast which was just OK.

The Hampton Inn on Deadwood is a nice hotel in a great location near one end of Deadwood. It is was very busy while we were there resulting in a slow elevator (some other Hamptons have 2) which the cleaning staff also used, very small breakfast room resulting in lines outside, and a crowded parking lot across the street. They do offer valet parking. Deadwood is about it's Casinos and Hampton adjoins the Tin Lizzie, a nice casino. The hotel gave us each a $5 'voucher' to gamble.
